@leDouchey "Clueless fool"? Um, did you pay attention to the way the lines are set up? While you're calling someone a clueless fool it's set up to be sung to the melody of "PFFT! You Were Gone."
@epsteinsmutha1 Because it is "Hee-Haw", and this skit was done in a joking manner...as was the rest of the show. This show is no American Idol, this show was good. She was JOKING.
@leDouchey Yeah, I KNOW. Do me/yourself a favor. Go back and sing the lines I wrote to the melody before you go looking for something to get upset about and start calling people "clueless fool."
The best line in the episode was during the "Pickin' and Grinnin'" when Roy asked Johnny if it was true he and June were going to have another kid and Johnny said, "Well Roy, you always need to have a little Cash around."
@leDouchey Yeah, I KNOW. Do me/yourself a favor. Go back and sing the lines I wrote to the melody before you go looking for something to get upset about and start calling people "clueless fool."

I was a kid and this was when I loved my country so much. We had pure real natural entertainers that grew up in the worst times and wars of our lives. SO DAMN WHAT THEY WERE NOT PERFECT. I so much loved to see Minnie Pearl and Roy Clark and the gang! The jokes were stale but still better than everything ending up in sexual everything.THIS COUNTRY HAD CHARACTERS FROM EVERYWHERE. Now, the communist way---everyone being the same and not being their best--just mediocre--permeates the countryscape
LOL...too funny. i think she caught him right in the liver with that elbow :~) June had quite a wit, very funny lady. She and Johnny were entertainers in the deepest sense of the word. Rest in peace!
If you can find some old Country music color videos from the 1950's..June was very much a comedienne..and very funny, too! If she had just done comedy and not sang, she would still be just as famous..
June had dabbled in comedy on and off over the years - let's not forget that she recorded with Homer & Jethro on their butchering of "Baby, It's Cold Outside" back in 1949. (Which they revived in 1970 when H & J appeared as guests on "The Johnny Cash Show.")
"where or where are you tonight why did you leave me here all alone?! I searched the world all over and thought I found true love, you met another and pft! you were gone! "
I live about 3 miles from where Johnny and June lived. June's funeral was carried live on television, and Johnny looked absolutely devastated. I felt so sorry for him. He didn't live very long without June, poor man.

It's like it must have been when Miss Audrey was singing with the Drifting Cowboys, an elbow in the gut I reckon.
