Does doing it in the clogs actually help the dancing? I mean would it be much harder doing it in ordinary shoes?

It's just as easy to clog barefoot (besides hurting your feet! :) ) but the clog shoes allow you to hear the sounds that the dancers feet are creating which is the main point of this style of dance.

We loved seeing these kids in Gatlinburg, there was a young man performing with them who was very good, we came back to shoot video but couldnt find the group so wound up video'ing across the street of girls from Arkansas.
