add &fmt=5 to the end of the URL, it plays fine then... all 8:41 of it!

@Xxfancythat79xX yup, doesn't seem to work any more... but what you can do, is switch to 240p using the drop down box on the player (which is what &fmt=5 is supposed to do), then it plays ok. It still only shows 0:02, but will play the full 8:41 video)

What is interesting is that each company poured cash and resources into doing something different they coul sell on to the ITV region.

Then they stopped doing it. And so they died, And ITV died. And now the BBC is dying.

Rediffusion was originally the London region, I believe - though they later went into the TV manufacturing business.

Yep that's right, Rediffusion did go into the manufacturing business after they lost their franchise to Thames.

@westcountrytelevisio Concerning the Granada caption, I believe the first colour one was as we see here - yellow text, white symbol. The more familiar version reversed those colours so we usually saw white text with a yellow symbol.

Nice one but why is the original Harlech Television 'hash-type' ident left out? My favourite of all British TV idents.
