quake wars is built on a modified version of doom3 engine (with megatexture tech included) and doom3 engine is released long way before unreal engine 3, that means its competing it and wasnt supposed to be ...but still doom3 engine can deliver great visuals till this day

Strikes me as a lesser version of BF2. The ID engine just can't keep up with its unreal counterpart imo.
