  • @mrchippoz actually, i read his lips ... bryz said "why you heff to be mad?"

  • refree to bryzgalov U mad bro?

  • y do pol rite so many comments cuz ppl don't even reed them

  • What have the referees learned from this? Avoid players whose last names have a 'z' in it.

  • Comment removed

  • This is nothing! When Bryz played for the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks he got so mad that he slammed his stick on the crossbar and threw it behind him into the stands! That time he got ejected from the game lol

  • lol

  • That was closer than most of you realize. You saw it in slow motion replay. He missed him by a fraction of a second.

Plus, Phoenix should move. There's no fan base and the NHL has them on life support. Let's stop supporting teams in tropic markets that have no fan base.

The only advantage it serves is to let fans from other areas buy tickets to the games to watch their teams for cheap.

Why do you think so many were cheering for Vancouver the other day?

  • @plasterdbastard wtf are you talkin aboot? Your Canadian arse dont know shit, eh? There were like 10 canuckleheads in the arena... I dont know what game you were watchin

  • @hockeymatt1994

    LOL...

I see, you're a Coyotes fan. Congratulations on rooting for the welfare team of the NHL, maybe next season Obama can bail out the Coyotes instead of Wall Street... :S

Winnipeg deserves the Coyotes, there's no ice in Arizona and Phoenix doesn't appreciate them anyway - as is evidenced by many consecutive years of fan neglect. If we could get an NHL commissioner with testicles into the head office, we might actually make this game better for the cities the teams are in.

  • @plasterdbastard Go ahead spew out all your BS about how Canada is getting the 'yotes. Bottom line is: if the 'yotes were gonna move, they would've done it already. They have sold out every game since the olympics, and since the olympics are the fourth highest grossing team in the NHL, just below Montreal.

Winnipeg doesnt deserve shit. Arizona does in fact have ice. Ever heard of Northern Arizona? Flagstaff has colder average temperatures than Winnipeg. You are truly an idiot

  • @hockeymatt1994

Snow in Flagstaff doesn't equal colder than Winnipeg, and it doesn't mean that Phoenix deserves a hockey team.

Likewise, 6 months of patronage from the Phoenix fan-base doesn't mean that the team will continue to be profitable. People in Phoenix want to watch the Cardinals and the Suns, not the Coyotes.

We've seen teams in warm climates rebound for a couple seasons, but they always tumble back down to doldrums with the fans. So too will the Coyotes.

  • @plasterdbastard Flagstaff reaches minus-30 in January. Plus it never reaches a higher avg temperature than 55 degrees, even in the summer. That does equal colder than Winnipeg

Are you kidding? Nobody likes the Suns. They couldn't even sell out a playoff game. The yotes have maintained an average attendance over 14,000 the past years. Considering they didnt make the playoffs for 8 straight years, that's pretty respectable.

  • Four things.

1.) The reason the Coyotes will stay in Phoenix is because Bettman is a moron. Not corporate sponsorship.

2.) The average minimum temperature for Flagstaff in January is 16.5F.

3.) In 2010, the Kings were 16th for attendance, Calgary was 5th. In 2009, Kings = 22nd and Calgary 6th. In 2008, Kings = 21st and Calgary 6th. Incidentally, the Coyotes were 30th, 28th and 29th for those years. Out of 30.

4.) You can call me an idiot all you want, but I have the facts.

    Conversation is over.

  • Four things

    1. Bitter, much?

    2. Did I say AVERAGE temp? No I said IT REACHES. Learn to read, fucktard. And no, the avg temp is about 10. Trust me, I live there (during winter at least)

    3. I meant throughout history, dipshit

    4. Yes, I can call you an idiot. Because you are one.

Conversation over? Okay, you lose. Simple. I like it

  • @hockeymatt1994

So, you're going to nitpick that I said the average is more important than the extreme, but fail to acknowledge that you were BLATANTLY incorrect with your statement of the annual average temperature never being above 50f?

Throughout history? Even when LA had Gretzky, they never climbed higher than the Oilers in attendance even with a larger building and a larger market.

The conversation is over because you're actually retarded. I'm not trying to be mean, I'm trying to help you.

  • @plasterdbastard

You gave the average for January as 16.5... where the hell are you getting this "BLATANTLY incorrect with your statement of the annual average temperature never being above 50f?"

Oh, no false stats this time? They always had higher att. rates.

Yeah, that's a good idea. You're losing so you're going to call me a retard. You're so mature it blows my mind

  • @hockeymatt1994

    Quote you:

"it never reaches a higher avg temperature than 55 degrees, even in the summer"

Try looking up the average temperatures for Flagstaff. Rssweather is a good website to start with.

False stats? ESPN provides attendance stats for each team by season. The Kings have been above the Oilers twice since 2002, in 2007 and 2010, and they haven't been above the Flames and Canucks since the 80s and early 90s.

Read your posts, then see who's being more mature, hypocrite.

  • @plasterdbastard Alright, whatever. Why the fuck are we arguing about the weather and the attendance rates in LA. I hate the Kings.

Listen: the Coyotes aren't going to Winnipeg. They aren't going anywhere. Ice Edge is about to buy the yotes, which will keep them in Phoenix for at least 20 years. Be bitter about it all you want, but Winnipeg couldn't support a team any better than Phoenix

Respond to this with all the BS you want, but unless you post something valid, don't expect a response

  • @hockeymatt1994

No worries, I was getting tired of this anyway.

I honestly don't care if the Coyotes stay in Phoenix or not. It just aggravates me that Canadian markets are being neglected to make warm climate markets work when they aren't going to.

Truthully, Flagstaff would probably have a better attendance rate than Phoenix for the simple fact that it gets cold enough for people to play hockey in the Winter. Look at Buffalo, they have a great team with an interested market.

    There's my beef.

  • @plasterdbastard Yeah, except the entire city of Flagstaff has one team, the Phoenix area has over 20 (junior teams, that is)

  • @plasterdbastard you do know they play NHL games inside right?

why the hell does everyone think you can only have hockey in places where it snows?

i used to play hockey in a spring/summer league here in phx

theres plenty of ice rinks scattered throughout phx, and they are always booked from morning to night with amateur hockey games

not to mention all the snow birds that moved here from up north that still love hockey

there are plenty of hockey fans here

  • The only reason the yotes fell into debt was because they built an expensive arena in the middle of nowhere. Had they stayed at AWA, they wouldn't have had any debt problems. I mean, look at LA. Not a hockey city at all, but they have maintained an avg attendance greater than Calgary, Edmonton, and what Winnipeg could.

The pop. of of metro Phoenix is over 8 million people. Winnipeg's is around 1 mil. Plus, we have corporate sponsorship, something Winnipeg doesn't

    Coyotes aren't going anywhere.

  • @hockeymatt1994 just a correction, they actually would have had problems at AWA

they had a bad lease deal entering, and it kinda screwed them financially from the beginning

but at least glendale now is really developing...i remember the arena was literally in the middle of nothing, but now theres alot of stuff out there

  • @rockerseven There are many, many reasons why staying at AWA would've screwed them for the future.

They got through the rough part though, because you're right, Glendale is actually something now, not just desert. More people will go to their games now that people actually live there, and they're doing well.

The fact that they stayed afloat through the Gretzky era really shows a lot for them

  • @hockeymatt1994 yeah and it wouldnt have gone as bad if the los arcos project didnt fall through, since a major part of their fan base is in the scottsdale area...but youre right, they are over that rough patch now

And even during those losing seasons they still sold plenty of tix, last year was different since all summer the media just talked about the team moving, so no one bought tix, but that quickly changed

  • bryzgalov < shit

  • @robo1945 Is that why he is a Vezina finalist?

By the way, could you tell your mom she sucked in bed last night?

  • @hockeymatt1994 1, fail joke 2, i didnt understand your morse

  • @robo1945 I didnt understand you face

  • @hockeymatt1994 arent you retarded a little ?

  • @robo1945 look who's asking

  • @hockeymatt1994 you are waste of time

  • lol

  • they are not movin. so shut it ABOUT THAT!!!

  • it was no where near hitting the ref grow some balls theyre not leaving phoenix

  • @doughboyfresh97 i love you :)

  • Wow, Phoenix hockey right there. Get this team the fuck out of the desert please.

  • Not even close they are just saying that because the coyotes goalie is Russian

  • lmao what? or they're saying this because he threw his huge goalie stick a foot away from the refs face lol

  • "why you heff to be mad?"

    Ilya Bryzgalov

  • lmao.."its just a game"..haha

  • @kaptainkoolaid07 oh the hypochrisy :p

  • Comment removed

  • not that i'm defending the behavior, bu the ref was like 3 feet away... it wasn't nearly as close as ppl make it sound...

i like emotional players though, always fun to watch them react :)

  • he does have a hot head some times

  • i remember this lol

  • haha,im a huge fan of bryzgalov and i think this is funny but,how come there are no tributes to him lol?

  • holy shit that is funny i have done that before but i did not almost hit the ref the fef put his arms up he thought he was going to get hit lol

  • i was looking for that vid and i couldnt find it...now i did...but it sucked that he didnt get a misconduct...or suspended...or at least 5 min major

  • What I find interesting is that they ignored it. A penalty is used for many things, including to make a point NOT to throw your stick if you don't know if someone is there... Instead of the Ref, it could have been his own teammate!

  • he was really angrey

  • LOL thats so funny! I like the last replay where the ref is like "OH SHIT!"

  • Thanks for the post I was looking for this.

  • Ilja Bryzgalov throws his stick nearly hitting the ref. Oilers @ Coyotes Sat Mar 15, 2008. Full video with replay.
