@AlienFirefox Unless something major comes through in the next week, I'm donkey voting this election, but I have to say that almost everything progressive in this country has been put forward by the Labour Party while the Liberal Party takes credit and manages to send the country in the opposite direction. Ever wonder why we always have booms after a Labour Party reign and recessions after a Liberal Party reign? I look at policies rather than mindlessly quoting rhetoric.
Good things Labour has done: Medicare, abolishing the death penalty, floating the dollar; deregulation the financial, airline and telecommunications industries; ending conscription, equal pay for women, recognising China in foreign policy, one-vote-one-value, national superannuation, the list goes on. John Howard got quite the ride on the Labour Party's reforms.
Bad things the Libs have done: painting a target on us for terrorists by kissing America's ass, GST, Workchoices...
medicare was bought in because england had it thats all
death penalty shouldnt have been abolished some people deserve it
they only got up 100 billion dolalrs in debt and then liberal got us out of it so that labout can get us into another 250 billion dollars debt if the welsh gets in its been estimated we'll end up 1 trillion dollars in debt we'll never ever pay it back thats why everyone is counting on abbott
if america or new zealand ever gets in trouble we have to help them no matter what the situation is and they have to help us if we do.
howard was simply honouring our 60 year old treatie thats all.
the GST was very much needed in order to pay back the 97 billion dollar debt labour got us into and work choices are excellent why on earth are they bad.
@AlienFirefox Menzies, Holt, Gorton and McMahon had plenty of time to do the same regarding Medicare and they didn't. Death Penalty isn't worth it - no matter how guilty someone looks, there's always a chance it was false. Also, the truly guilty ones deserve to rot in jail.
Most current debt is private and going to be repaid. Temporary debt is necessary for development.
and the death penalty saves the country millions and millions of dollars
do you have any idea how much it costs to keep a prisoner imprisoned
those gang rapeists and paedaphiles and all those real sick fuckers deserve to be necked mate they dont deserve our money supporting them while they live in a luxurious prison cell
@AlienFirefox Britain's "Medicare" was brought in way back when Menzies was in power - so yes, they did. Do your research before you lie, you're making yourself look stupid. Gough Whitlam was the first Labour PM after Menzies those three and he brought it in immediately.
In America, people get proven innocent months or years after they have already been executed all the time. Paying millions to keep the real bastards locked up is worth it to save the few innocent people that slip through.
@AlienFirefox ANZUS is for the Pacific Ocean only, we are under no obligation to assist the US elsewhere.Also, the treaty only says they have to "consult" (read: discuss) if one of the countries is in trouble. It means if we are attacked, the US only has to consult (and so they can still refuse to help us).
GST is a flat tax - I agree that it has been helpful in repaying debt, but it gives the rich people the advantage. Tell me why Workchoices is good for anyone but the employer.
@AlienFirefox Err, no, the ANZUS Treaty (not "treatie") was only meant to be for the Pacific Ocean and it only specifies that the nations will "consult." It is not an alliance, it is not for just any circumstance - little Johnny only chose to interpret it that way. Read the actual treaty yourself, I'm not making this up.
You can have 0 debt while the nation rots around you or you can borrow to build up the nation so that it can not only pay it back but make more than it would have before.
@AlienFirefox What an alarmist and ignorant person you appear to everyone here. Are you suggesting the Australian people should have took a bullet to fulfill your ignorance? Ok, how many more should have lost their jobs or homes? Come on you decide-what arrogance.
According to Wikipedia-north korea has less than 10 nuc's and israel has 80-both are Non-signatory's to the NPT. You should be up in congress with the other hawks saying the iraq was a success-what alarmist rhetoric.
@AlienFirefox So you're now suggesting labor was the cause of the GFC and not the lack of regulation of financial institutions? Forget about being an alarmist or ignorant - become a comedian.
The racist tone also suggests you have xenophobia. Xenophobia is defined as someone who is unduly fearful or contemptuous of that which is foreign, especially of strangers or foreign peoples. It's treatment can consist of; Hypnotherapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Energy Psychology.
"Following the start of the Global Financial Crisis in 2008, increased exports and consumer spending helped the Australian economy avoid recession in 2009. Australia was the only western economy to do so."
Don't you understand?
The 'get a life' phrase has to be one of the most overused derogatory remarks in the universe.
@AlienFirefox Actually,your the first person that's said that to me.
So, your saying the debt (approaching 1 trillion & throw in Unemployment-607,700) we had to have. Ok, let's compare that of the USA - $54,668,036,000,000 Unemployed- 26,051,670. Europe has not faired much better. How in the f*&^k does having many more job losses and mortgage closures justify not having a targeted spending package?
Mate, the only thing you offered in the discussion is derogatory remarks and some xenophobia.
@AlienFirefox Political point scoring, simplistic analysis and right-wing ranting. I suppose you think global warming is a greenie agenda and the science surrounding it is false. I admire your passion but, your world is by no means that of mainstream.
@AlienFirefox The CSIRO and the Bureau of Meteorology say the evidence is unquestionable, climate change is real and the link with human activity is beyond doubt. The proof was that Australia's mean temperature went up 0.7 per cent since 1960, seas were rising in some places by 3mm a year, and less rain now fell on our most settled areas.Tell me how many times have you heard the weather related phrase 'once in a life-time' on the media lately?
@AlienFirefox There are 3 stages of scientific discovery; first people deny it is true (we are here at present); then they deny it is important; finally they credit the wrong person. About 2 percent of the planet's water is fresh, but 1.6 percent of the planet's water is locked up in the polar ice caps and glaciers. According to your hypothesis, that means 0.4% is the sole contributor to rising sea levels.I'm afraid to say your world is distinct from the mainstream.
@AlienFirefox I'm not holding my breath for some evidence to support your claims. I admire your passion but, your reasoning shows you are disengaged from mainsteam thinking.
global warming more liek fuckin global cooling it aint exact hot you know i got a damn cold in the middle fo spring
thats why the government has just changed it from global warming to global climate change because thats what it is
and considering you haven't said anything that is even close to rashional thought or have any proof i think your the one disengaged from mainstream thinking.
@aussieNickuss i cant stand political hacks. they cant think for themselves.
yes the free market economic reforms labor made in the 80s were good things, but do you know what keating also proposed in the 80s because it was a good idea? A GST. he proposed it in 1985 and hawke killed it because the unions hated it. do you know why gst was and continues to be a good idea and almost every country has one? it LOWERS INFLATION.
O sorry u may have forgot about the part where we had 11 consective years of income tax cuts, years of economic reform a future fund established of 60 billion dollars (which most of it labor has now drained), a 58 billion dollar surplus in howard/costello final budget (which got blown as well) years of record low employment and interest rates as opposed to the 17 per cent interest rates but no labor only burnt down houses and built dodgy school halls!
@AlienFirefox The International Monetary Fund (IMF) said Australia was one of the few advanced economies to escape the global recession in 2009.In fact, if it hadn't been for the swift intervention of stimulus packages (which, you no doubt spent along with the rest of us) Australia, would have experienced more job losses and mortgage closures.You have disengaged from reality.
@AlienFirefox The world according to AlienFirefox; The GFC didn't happen; labor is solely to blame for the deficit. Global Warming is a creation of the mind and the ice-caps are melting at an accelerated rate.
I'm sorry but you have totally detached yourself from the mainstream.I suggest you join some social club and get back into the mainstream asap.
@AlienFirefox While, other countries are busy implementing austerity measures and currently suffering high unemployment and budget deficits that would make ours look like small change, Australia by comparison, only experienced one quarter of negative growth and a smaller increase in unemployment.The $900 payment to most households helped boost confidence in the retail sector. The Building Education Revolution and the first Home Owners Grant boosted created thousands of new jobs.
@AlienFirefox AlienFirefox those are not facts but creations-of-the-mind.These are facts;
'The performance of the Australian economy has been outstanding; the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Organisation for the Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) have show-cased Australia as a model economy.'
An excerpt from 66 Emeritis Professors, Associate Professors, Senior Lecturers, PHd Students, Australian Research Council Fellows, Honorary Fellows, Industry and Economic Advisors, et al
@AlienFirefox I don’t where you get your information from but, it’s not from this planet. According to Wikipedia; out of the 30 countries compared. Australia was the 5th lowest in Mean Income Tax Rate in the year 2005.
But, your flippant 3rd world aid comment that reeks most of red-neckism. AusAid gives out aid not only to Africa but, to other 3rd world countries. It makes a difference to the lives of our neighbours and boosting growth and stability in our region. Add xenophobia to your resume.
@AlienFirefox In your last 15 replies, you have not produced one scrap of evidence to support your claims.Preffering to use; profanities, derogatory remarks, ignorance, xenophobia and just recently ageism.
@AlienFirefox Organisation for the Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD),Wikipedia,International Monetary Fund (IMF) & the CSIRO-is evidence.But, you haven't added to your resume which still stands @ profanities, derogatory remarks, ignorance, xenophobia and just recently ageism.
im not ignorant you are you are still living like its the 50's or something things have changed in 60 years you know
xenophobia is when your afraid of foreigners im not afraid im foreigners you moron im just sick of them stealing our jobs thats no xenophobia thats logic
ageism coming from someone that tries to get there point across by patronising people
thats pathetic you need to get a gun put it to your temple and squeeze the trigger you stupid fucker.
@AlienFirefox What Profanities;selfish fuck wits,stupid fucker and stupid fuckin carbon tax-does this need anymore explanation?
So your not afraid of foreigners but, are scared they will take jobs off ordinary australians? .Xenophobia is an unfounded fear of foreigners either overseas or here. So now you're sounding like a hypocrite.
Have i been patronising or trying to make a point of view? I guess that's up to you.
thats not infanities if it is then every arsehole of youtube would be banned or some shit.
you shouldnt use words you dont know the meaning of xenophobics are like the damn nazi party or the kkk they dont have any tolerance for foreigners i dont give a shit about foreigners i just like to be able to work and not have some asian prick take the job cause he'll work for cheaper.
and you haven't made a point nothing you have said is a point everything i've said can be looked up
@AlienFirefox A person use profanities highlight their socio-economic status.
You still contradicting youself by using a person's ethnicity to make a point-that's xenophobia.
What have you got to say about the recent discovery of stalactites and stalagmites in china that (like rings in a tree-trunk) point to a recent disruption of global weather trends? eg. weak monsoons in asia and cold winters in europe?
And what have you got to say about your liberal idol - abbott who ignored our troops?
@AlienFirefox Oh so you support the decision to invade iraq? According to iraqbodycount.
The number of civilians killed in the Iraq war and occupation is between 98,170 - 107,152. The general consensus of the invasion is that there were no weapons of mass destruction and the regime had no creditable links to Al-Qaida. But the toppling of Saddam allowed Osama bin Laden to gain a stronghold in Iraq and radicalised young Muslims in Britain.
Whose the one with the low intelligence quotient now?
@AlienFirefox It's just too hypocritical to support howard and not the invasion of iraq when each are intertwined. Fail.
The decision to send Australian troops to iraq had nothing to do with the ANZUS pact as each party only needs to reach the consultation stage.Fail.
While.the intelligence was dodgy -it was 'sexing up' of the documents in both the congress and houses of parliment that provided the impetus for the invasion.Fail.
your an absolutely retard if you believe that just because people supported howard and the enormous amount of good he did for our country and supporting the iraq war is the same thats just pathetic
john howard did a lot of good for this country and he went to iraq to support ur allies even though we would have had to of gone anyway because england did
@AlienFirefox Your beloved, John Howard was voted out of office because, he favoured big business over the people-that's a fact.
Like his cohorts, Bush and Blair, all the good he done is negated by what has been described as an 'Unmitigated disaster'. Another fact.
Now,stop the; rhetoric,xenophobia,contradiction, profanities, ageism and -worst of all-your ignorance and get some bloody facts to support your claims. if you can't stand the heat; get out of the kitchen.
i have nothing against foreigners and john howard was right legal migrants are entitled to be here but illegal migrants have no right they have broken the law and should be put in gaol.
you need you get your head out of your arse and get into the 21st century.
everything you have said is bullshit and you are the ones with no facts to support anything
do me a favour don't message me again until you have "modernised" get with the times and get out of the 20th century
@AlienFirefox While, the conciliatory tone is appreciated the same cannot be said for your blatant lack of respect for those who you do not agree with.
The anonymity of the internet does not exclude you or anyone else from scrutiny.Our posts are all there for everyone to see.The saying 'what comes around; goes around' is directly applicable.
To earn respect;you must first give some.
I remain hopeful that you stop abusing people and start communicating in a civilised way.
@AlienFirefox Well, you're right about one thing utube user-abuse reporting is a farce.They either use definitions that are outside of the mainstream, send you around in circles or palm you off to third parties. Gee, thanks for the heads up.
After some consultation, i have determined you are simply not worth the trouble. in fact, i dare say you are just another disenfranchised youth who blames everything and everyone for his own misfortune.
Embrace the community and they will repay in kind..
this seems incredibly appropriate considering how much choice we all got as to who replaces rudd, I don't recall anyone I've met voting for a party lead by gillard, I remember people voting for a party lead by rudd or by that other guy, but not gillard
iDemocracy, because compulsory voting means something =D
@SabreMcCullough In their defence, at least Gillard has said that she will call an election within a couple of months to give the people the opportunity to either endorse her as leader, or vote in the other guy.
@aussieNickuss aye this is a good point *nods* I'm not overly pleased about how exactly she got in, but I'd rather have her as PM than the guy from the liberals XD as long as she's not Abbot, +infinite bonus points if she doesn't want the internet filter or if she gets rid of conroy as communications minister XD
@SabreMcCullough If you voted labor in the last election - you voted for gillard.The two major parties had nothing to offer in the way of funding because of the GFC.So it really was down to dirty politics. I would have thought both missed a major boost by supporting same-sex marriages.
B) and C) proove nothing towards the idea that i like labor, i clearly stated before that i did not intend to insult howard by calling him racist. and you have no proof that laabor supporters are insulting. you=idiot
howards a racist? wtf? if we let every single person who wanted 2 come in2 this country then we wouldnt be able to cope. our hospital and infastructure is already stretched!
but it doesnt have anything 2 do with racism! how is there a good way to call someone a racist?
if howard had said we would only let white refugees in2 our country, that would have been racist but he understood that it would be impossible to accept all the refugees who just hopped on a boat and expected 2 b taken in.
really? what makes him a racist? rudds maintaining the detention centres because even he isnt stupid enough to let anyone just hop on a boat and come to australia.
whats the alternative? just let everyone in? our health and infastructure couldnt cope!
are you retarted, i agree with that, infact i reckon dont let any of them in. but the point im making is howard is racist, but im not saying that in a disregarding way.
yep thats the one, because somehow from all of that you concluded that i like labor with no evidence to back it up, so your accusing me of saying stuff with no evidence, and you just did it yourself. so i think you have just proven yourself a complete wanker
Exactly. A lot of the "Me-tooism" has been Howard duplicating (or rehashing the same goal) of Rudd's policies ..... education rebates. home saving accounts, trade schools, broadband, emission reduction goals are all policies Rudd announced before Howard.
Not an aussie myself, but since Labor party's more left wing, i root for labor.

john howard had a vey strong rih economy now we got nothin
borrowing money isnt cool either

Liberal:
Introduced GST (cost of living has skyrocketed in the last decade)
Sent us to war (no explanation needed)

medicare was introduced in england and so it it was bought out here

O sorry u may have forgot about the part where we had 11 consective years of income tax cuts, years of economic reform a future fund established of 60 billion dollars (which most of it labor has now drained), a 58 billion dollar surplus in howard/costello final budget (which got blown as well) years of record low employment and interest rates as opposed to the 17 per cent interest rates but no labor only burnt down houses and built dodgy school halls!
mgl87 1 year ago
@AlienFirefox The International Monetary Fund (IMF) said Australia was one of the few advanced economies to escape the global recession in 2009.In fact, if it hadn't been for the swift intervention of stimulus packages (which, you no doubt spent along with the rest of us) Australia, would have experienced more job losses and mortgage closures.You have disengaged from reality.
roguemale57 1 year ago
@roguemale57
i know reality
we have a 250 billion dollar debt that we can never ever pay back
we arn't in recession we are in total depression
get a grip you moron seriously
AlienFirefox 1 year ago
@AlienFirefox The world according to AlienFirefox; The GFC didn't happen; labor is solely to blame for the deficit. Global Warming is a creation of the mind and the ice-caps are melting at an accelerated rate.
I'm sorry but you have totally detached yourself from the mainstream.I suggest you join some social club and get back into the mainstream asap.
roguemale57 1 year ago
@roguemale57
fuck your stupid
gfc did happen
problem is labour made it worse for us
AlienFirefox 1 year ago
@roguemale57
anyways what your say is irrelivant
you seem to be an old man thats still living in the 60's
what you dont get is that another recession is coming our way and this time labour wont have liberals 20 billion dollars in the kitty to play with
we'll be fucked
i hope old man your willing to spend your life savings
AlienFirefox 1 year ago
@AlienFirefox While, other countries are busy implementing austerity measures and currently suffering high unemployment and budget deficits that would make ours look like small change, Australia by comparison, only experienced one quarter of negative growth and a smaller increase in unemployment.The $900 payment to most households helped boost confidence in the retail sector. The Building Education Revolution and the first Home Owners Grant boosted created thousands of new jobs.
roguemale57 1 year ago
@roguemale57
the facts are quite simple
all the 900 dollars did was made the government poorer because a lot of people like me didn't go out and send the 900 bucks
i mean what can you buy with 900 dollars
so most of us saved it
and whats the point in thousands of jobs when aussies are paying for them to be given to foreigners
its completely idiotic
AlienFirefox 1 year ago
@AlienFirefox AlienFirefox those are not facts but creations-of-the-mind.These are facts;
'The performance of the Australian economy has been outstanding; the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Organisation for the Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) have show-cased Australia as a model economy.'

roguemale57 1 year ago
@roguemale57
i think your a creation of the mind the kind thats put in the back of the mind and forgotten about
the facts are simple
australia is one of the highest paying tax countries in the world because we have a government that would rather support africa then its own people
the reason we are in so much debt is because of the terrible management by labor
i dont care what some moron in imf says what im telling you is proven facts.
AlienFirefox 1 year ago
@AlienFirefox I don’t where you get your information from but, it’s not from this planet. According to Wikipedia; out of the 30 countries compared. Australia was the 5th lowest in Mean Income Tax Rate in the year 2005.
But, your flippant 3rd world aid comment that reeks most of red-neckism. AusAid gives out aid not only to Africa but, to other 3rd world countries. It makes a difference to the lives of our neighbours and boosting growth and stability in our region. Add xenophobia to your resume.
roguemale57 1 year ago
@roguemale57
as i said old man
you need to get out of the 50's and get into the 21st century because your 50 years behind the times.
theres people starving to death in australia and your worried about another third world country
they should be worried about australians first
add obsolete to your resume
unfortunately the 5th lowest tax income is based on the countries that have the same tax
most countries dont have petrol tax cigarette tax alcohol tax and so they wernt counted

@AlienFirefox In your last 15 replies, you have not produced one scrap of evidence to support your claims.Preffering to use; profanities, derogatory remarks, ignorance, xenophobia and just recently ageism.
You really need to step up to the plate.
roguemale57 1 year ago
@roguemale57
repeating comments is pathetic
you havent produced one scrap of evidence either
my evidence can all be found with a simple google search
nothing you have said can be
AlienFirefox 1 year ago
@AlienFirefox Organisation for the Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD),Wikipedia,International Monetary Fund (IMF) & the CSIRO-is evidence.But, you haven't added to your resume which still stands @ profanities, derogatory remarks, ignorance, xenophobia and just recently ageism.
You just need a big hug.
roguemale57 1 year ago
@roguemale57
what profanities
im not ignorant you are you are still living like its the 50's or something things have changed in 60 years you know
xenophobia is when your afraid of foreigners im not afraid im foreigners you moron im just sick of them stealing our jobs thats no xenophobia thats logic
ageism coming from someone that tries to get there point across by patronising people
thats pathetic you need to get a gun put it to your temple and squeeze the trigger you stupid fucker.
AlienFirefox 1 year ago
@AlienFirefox What Profanities;selfish fuck wits,stupid fucker and stupid fuckin carbon tax-does this need anymore explanation?
So your not afraid of foreigners but, are scared they will take jobs off ordinary australians? .Xenophobia is an unfounded fear of foreigners either overseas or here. So now you're sounding like a hypocrite.
Have i been patronising or trying to make a point of view? I guess that's up to you.
time to come in from the cold big fella.
roguemale57 1 year ago
@roguemale57
thats not infanities if it is then every arsehole of youtube would be banned or some shit.
you shouldnt use words you dont know the meaning of xenophobics are like the damn nazi party or the kkk they dont have any tolerance for foreigners i dont give a shit about foreigners i just like to be able to work and not have some asian prick take the job cause he'll work for cheaper.
and you haven't made a point nothing you have said is a point everything i've said can be looked up
AlienFirefox 1 year ago
@AlienFirefox A person use profanities highlight their socio-economic status.
You still contradicting youself by using a person's ethnicity to make a point-that's xenophobia.
What have you got to say about the recent discovery of stalactites and stalagmites in china that (like rings in a tree-trunk) point to a recent disruption of global weather trends? eg. weak monsoons in asia and cold winters in europe?
And what have you got to say about your liberal idol - abbott who ignored our troops?
roguemale57 1 year ago
@roguemale57
i havent contradicted myself its just you havent got a high enough IQ to understand what im getting at
abbotts not my liberal idol john howard is
and his not ognoring our troops any more then gillard and krudd the dudd has
and tony abbott isnt the pm so he cant exactly do anything.
theres always been monsoons in asian and cold winters in europe it snows there you moron gets in the =20's

Whose the one with the low intelligence quotient now?
roguemale57 1 year ago
@roguemale57
i never said i supported iraq mate we havent even spoken of iraq ya wankah
john howard was asked by george bush to support america in iraq if australia hadn't it would have broken about a million treaties
at the ime we went there there was evidence of womd but it turned out the CIA fucked up as they usually do and get us all in the shit
i do however support our troops 100%
AlienFirefox 1 year ago
@AlienFirefox It's just too hypocritical to support howard and not the invasion of iraq when each are intertwined. Fail.
The decision to send Australian troops to iraq had nothing to do with the ANZUS pact as each party only needs to reach the consultation stage.Fail.
While.the intelligence was dodgy -it was 'sexing up' of the documents in both the congress and houses of parliment that provided the impetus for the invasion.Fail.
roguemale57 1 year ago
@roguemale57
your an absolutely retard if you believe that just because people supported howard and the enormous amount of good he did for our country and supporting the iraq war is the same thats just pathetic
john howard did a lot of good for this country and he went to iraq to support ur allies even though we would have had to of gone anyway because england did
AlienFirefox 1 year ago
@AlienFirefox Your beloved, John Howard was voted out of office because, he favoured big business over the people-that's a fact.
Like his cohorts, Bush and Blair, all the good he done is negated by what has been described as an 'Unmitigated disaster'. Another fact.
Now,stop the; rhetoric,xenophobia,contradiction, profanities, ageism and -worst of all-your ignorance and get some bloody facts to support your claims. if you can't stand the heat; get out of the kitchen.
roguemale57 1 year ago
@roguemale57
i have nothing against foreigners and john howard was right legal migrants are entitled to be here but illegal migrants have no right they have broken the law and should be put in gaol.
you need you get your head out of your arse and get into the 21st century.
everything you have said is bullshit and you are the ones with no facts to support anything
do me a favour don't message me again until you have "modernised" get with the times and get out of the 20th century
so long

@AlienFirefox While, the conciliatory tone is appreciated the same cannot be said for your blatant lack of respect for those who you do not agree with.
The anonymity of the internet does not exclude you or anyone else from scrutiny.Our posts are all there for everyone to see.The saying 'what comes around; goes around' is directly applicable.
To earn respect;you must first give some.
I remain hopeful that you stop abusing people and start communicating in a civilised way.
Best of luck in that.

i consider that disrespectful

Abuse-"fuck your stupid"
Racism-"some asian prick take the job cause he'll work for cheaper"
Ageism-"as i said old man"

@AlienFirefox Well, you're right about one thing utube user-abuse reporting is a farce.They either use definitions that are outside of the mainstream, send you around in circles or palm you off to third parties. Gee, thanks for the heads up.
After some consultation, i have determined you are simply not worth the trouble. in fact, i dare say you are just another disenfranchised youth who blames everything and everyone for his own misfortune.

this seems incredibly appropriate considering how much choice we all got as to who replaces rudd, I don't recall anyone I've met voting for a party lead by gillard, I remember people voting for a party lead by rudd or by that other guy, but not gillard
iDemocracy, because compulsory voting means something =D
SabreMcCullough 1 year ago
@SabreMcCullough In their defence, at least Gillard has said that she will call an election within a couple of months to give the people the opportunity to either endorse her as leader, or vote in the other guy.
aussieNickuss 1 year ago 3
@aussieNickuss aye this is a good point *nods* I'm not overly pleased about how exactly she got in, but I'd rather have her as PM than the guy from the liberals XD as long as she's not Abbot, +infinite bonus points if she doesn't want the internet filter or if she gets rid of conroy as communications minister XD
SabreMcCullough 1 year ago
@SabreMcCullough If you voted labor in the last election - you voted for gillard.The two major parties had nothing to offer in the way of funding because of the GFC.So it really was down to dirty politics. I would have thought both missed a major boost by supporting same-sex marriages.

omg your so ddumb, howard is the biggest racest, no way in the world could someone havee better immigration laws then him.
platzie 4 years ago 4
howards a racist? wtf? if we let every single person who wanted 2 come in2 this country then we wouldnt be able to cope. our hospital and infastructure is already stretched!
liber8me 3 years ago
im not calling him racist in a bad way, im saying its good because that trait lead to his immigration laws which are good....
platzie 3 years ago
but it doesnt have anything 2 do with racism! how is there a good way to call someone a racist?
if howard had said we would only let white refugees in2 our country, that would have been racist but he understood that it would be impossible to accept all the refugees who just hopped on a boat and expected 2 b taken in.
liber8me 3 years ago
howard is racist full stop
platzie 3 years ago
really? what makes him a racist? rudds maintaining the detention centres because even he isnt stupid enough to let anyone just hop on a boat and come to australia.
whats the alternative? just let everyone in? our health and infastructure couldnt cope!
liber8me 3 years ago
are you retarted, i agree with that, infact i reckon dont let any of them in. but the point im making is howard is racist, but im not saying that in a disregarding way.
platzie 3 years ago
well i what way do you regard him a racist?
because he doesnt let illegal immigrants in.
TELL ME HOW IS HE A RACIST THEN?????????
liber8me 3 years ago 2

and you have just successfully proven yourself an idiot.
you are a labor stooge who thinks its funny to call howard a racist even tho you have nothing to back up your claim.
liber8me 3 years ago
yep thats the one, because somehow from all of that you concluded that i like labor with no evidence to back it up, so your accusing me of saying stuff with no evidence, and you just did it yourself. so i think you have just proven yourself a complete wanker
platzie 3 years ago
evidence? a) you are being very insulting, as i have typically found labor supporters to be
b) you are insulting a liberal pm and accusing him of racism without any evidence
c) you are pretending to support him for apparents racism which you still havnt proven

Exactly. A lot of the "Me-tooism" has been Howard duplicating (or rehashing the same goal) of Rudd's policies ..... education rebates. home saving accounts, trade schools, broadband, emission reduction goals are all policies Rudd announced before Howard.
