excellent! crystal clear demonstrations, simple and too the point description, good sound quality, and no unnecessary editing. i've been practicing all ur videos! please keep 'em coming.
At last!!!!! An American who gets straight to the point on his vid instead of the usual "I loveeee the sound of my own voice" video! One in a million well done.
let me just say ur videos r very helpful i box with my freinds and somday hope to join a real gyme and learn real boxing but ur videos r educational and helpful thank u but one question.
do u use the same technique for the left hand or even the same stance for this drill
This guy has pretty good tech stuff but you never know where he's going to film from a random gym or outside a grocery store lol the black dude in the back ground is great hahaha
This is an incredibly useful technique for conditioning your body to throw a proper, straight right-hand. So many fighters starting out have the bad habit of either launching looping right-hands or raising the back foot off the ground. This forces you to develop the proper technique and learn how to balance yourself. Great video, man.
Question: I see that u r always really bent and acompact, your back leg knee is bent too even when the punch has landed. When i cross i usually aim to streighten my back leg in order to get more power from it and from the rotation, turning my shoulders almost 180 degrees . Is that bad or wrong? I've noticed that all the rotation makes my cross kinda slow and clumbsy but gives it greater reach
video poster a little tip, try it from the back foot and see what happens in terms of speed, power, mobility, actually more than a little tip is that, im just giving the shit away now.. tis a good drill though done properly you get a good feel of how to use bone allignment properly and how to not end up pushing rather than punching, which your doing in the video, think pull and rotation. ballisticaly gives a much better shot, allowing penetration with the shot but minimizing risk of pushing thru
Not much lifting, definitely higher reps (12-20 reps) with lighter weight is more effective for boxing. I recommend plyometrics and calisthenics for strength training.
Tons of squats, pull-ups, push-ups, hand stand push-ups, ect.
I like kettle bells, and a lot of the stuff on crossfit.com is good.
MMA, you probably want to get into heavier weight with reps of 8-12.
what kind of weight training would you suggest.. im aware that heavy weights low reps equalls strength and power and lighter weights high reps equall stamina and speed... what do you do???
The place where you filmed reminds me of a certain spot in CSULB. Oh, did anyone tell you, you look like Jaoquin Phoenix from far away? Anyways, good pointers man.
THERE ARE PLENTY OF WALL DRILL TO HELP DEVELOPE SKILLS AND TECHNIQUES.
ONE OF MY FAVORITS IS TO STAND AT THE CORNER OF THE POST-WALL, HEAD IN DIRECTION , ONGUARD .. NOW STEP DIAGONAL INTO WALL STOP AT A SHOULDER BUMP AND THEN TWIST YOU SHOULDER INTO TO WALL, DO THIS SLOW ..
PERHAPS THE VIDEO MAKER KNOW THIS ONE AND WILL DO IT FOR US ALL TO SEE ..BOTH LEFT AND RIGHT SIDE
I like it but he should change that part about the upper body rotating 180 degrees. It was closer to 90. But that's just a technical point, aside from that, nice work!!!!!!
at least he is making videos numbnut, i dont see any point of making longer videos since he shows it good, unlike some other videos.
no1 cares if you can kick his ass, if youre so good then go make your own videos, and by the way why do you even watch his vids if youre so pro, mr taxi driver?

Great drill. Try it with a tennis ball in your hand. It will give you more feed back. Very useful for discovering energy leaks.

Great little instructional. Too many people forget the importance of sitting into the punch and generating "downforce". Thanks for posting.

@immortaliserwow Really depends on if it is a finishing punch or a combo punch, a finishing punch you can reach more.

Nem tudni, hogy mit lehet így begyakorolni!
Talán a jobb egyenes lehetne testre, de akkor meg ki kellene hajolni balra-le,
hogy biztonságban legyen az ember feje.
