  • can you please tell us the song? thanks

  • hello i would like learn this effect where can download effects as well as the yours?

  • Did you use pictures to do the matte paintings in photoshop?

  • why a person walks like a retarded zombie in every extension video?

  • i was well thinking it was just gonna be color correction. well done guys

  • damn that was bad ass.

the real life road killed the effect though.

  • where did you get the background?

  • im a studying VFX that was GREAT ! how long did it take ?

  • Truly amazing - well done

  • This is very cool! I've just started some set-extension work of my own, just for fun... Also, I love the apocalyptic landscape! :)

  • Whatever the soundtrack is, it's not Eddie Vedder - The Wolf :/.

  • It's should make it Terminator 5!

  • That was Great......the only thing I would say is add some colour correction to the road to make it look darker like the background. Other then that....PERFECT.

  • Great vid - could u tell me the soundtrack used for this? Great ambience. Thanks

  • woaah nicee

  • Pretty Cool :)

  • Actually, this is really BAD. Nothing matches. The perspective of matte painting is not the same as the recording's perspective. The scale is wrong, there was no color matching done.

  • @varfare So you must be a pro with your shitty walker that doesnt even have shadows xD

  • @IBcnz Of course it does not have shadows. It's a tracking excercise.

  • so good! and without any greenscreen

  • hey dude can u tell me where to get the extensions. you know the stuff u put in there, the blown up buildings and stuff, i really need it

  • awesome ! please do a tutorial for this

  • Wouldn't it make more sense if he was walking away from the city? O_O

  • Nice composition and coloring!

  • Hello! I'd like to know where you get the "destroyed city" pic here. thanks!

  • That is REALLY nice m8. Well done.

  • that is the best set extension i've seen on youtube

  • i said: "wow! f***ing hell!"

    Great stuff! :D

  • Ma lo sfondo l'hai fatto tu??? Rispondi per favore voglio farne uno simile anche o :D

  • Awessome. i have boujou too and i have a problem... I make the tracking in boujou evrything looks fine after i calibrate the axis. After ei go in 3D max or AE , i have a problem the object moves a little bit...,but if don't make the axis the object remains stil. Someone can help me:((

  • questa è proprio bello Bravooooooooooooooooooo! :) Lo sfondo dove l'hai peso? L'hai fatto tu??? :)

  • @MrFreMell Really or you mean in this video?

  • wow.... very dramatic change.... alot of work.. good job

    \

  • cool man

  • Tutorial!!!!

  • fall face first for more realism =D

  • niceeeee your super awesome

  • THE ROAD IS VERY CLEAN

  • why have i trouble finding the camera shake realistic? :S kinda suspicious :/ have a feeling it's fake :p

  • Does anyone know how I can find such pictures as the background of the video

  • thats amasing, but the actor is kinda bad

  • @VincentNeveuMessier the actor is bad... he is walking

  • @Airickk2021 You're right, but he moves in a funny way, if he's supposed to be injured or something he's not doing a good job. If he's not even supposed to be injured... then... he's a bad actor even to do a walk cycle...

  • oke i dont underrstand is how u make those bricks at the left side the look 3d there standing is that just a picture u placed in the video ??

  • that looks pretty really pretty amazing!" the industrial backround freaks me out :)

  • OMG THIS IS SOOOOO COOL! YOU COULD LIKE MAKE YOUR OWN MOVIE!

  • very nice :D

  • that is cool!

  • Very nice. You could add some animated smoke in the background, but for the first time - this is fantastic. :)

  • great! but why did you fall?

  • thats is so dam awesome dude!

  • damn nice

  • Constructive Critisism:

The backgroud image is too detailed compared to footage. Try to add blur to it to avoid it.

  • Man I don't get it...why would anyone say that this does not look good...I have seen stuff on SCIFI channel that look bad. Hey man good work, let the haters do there job,you but the time in,and I must say it looks good. I just want to know what steps did you do to get the look.

  • That was excellent! How did you do it?

  • how can u do it.what program?

  • i would make the ground a little darker to match the background but besides that great job

  • nice one

  • Forget the haters! this is an amazing composition and set extension.. Can we get a tutorial on this please? It looks better than the Video Copilot one!

  • nice, very nice. the video that is

  • can you plz tell me where you got that picture from?

  • jejeejee nice xD

  • OMG This is really awesome

  • gr8 work keep it up

  • yo how did you make that background?

  • Very cool. I think you integrated it very well. The only thing I think it might need is some atmosphere. (like smoke or dust or something)

  • good job!

  • awesome! tutorial please :D

    darkclowner

  • and please, i'm like the 5th person to ask. But what song is this?

  • best 1 out here, no doubt about it

  • nice motion capture, smooth

  • Thats really mint ! (:

  • amazing

  • omg !!! its awesome !! plz tutorial plzzz

  • amazing!

im going to try a set extension soon, can you tell me where you got the image from please?

  • tutorial please

  • cool!

  • i hate whoever edited this...im jealous

  • WHATS THE SONG@!!!!!

  • good

  • Did you use the tracker inside AE or another programm?:) I like it!

  • Looks cool!

I don't know what the background is, but it looks so menacing!

I just finished something simliar to a set extension as far as technique but more about changing just a sky and adding in helicopters and other military vehicles. you can see it in my channel if you like!

    Keep up the great work

  • waooooo good work

  • Very nice man , good work !!!

  • Very well done!

  • just research BIT TORRENT

  • cool stuff, the road could use some work though =]

  • wow, kinda sick. Where did you get that image from?

  • that is bloody sick!

  • did u manually mask out the road?

  • Great! I really like the matte paintings (or pictures) you've used in this! (I don't know if you still call them Matte Paintings if it's pictures :P )

  • dude whats the song??

  • Huh Wij boujou? xD I dont get boujou is used for :O Tracking and then export to 3Dmax or maya

  • WTF!!! Are you serious??? This is the best I've seen on youtube. Str8 pro dude

  • 1) this is amazing

    2) tut would be nice

    3) im not spending 10,000 on boujou.

  • @xTheMD

then get Voodoo which is free, or PFHoe which is $50, or Syntheyes which is $300/

    Preferably PFHoe or Syntheyes.

  • or i guess you would get the same result, using a still camera, then adding the set extension and after that, add the active camera movement.

  • @xTheMD just get a crack dumbass -.-

  • @xTheMD Download it for free.

  • I ahve nothing to say but.......DAMN!!!!! im subscribin

  • dammmnnn

  • can u do a tutorials for this?

  • he got a tutorial from videocopilot(ot)net for this.

  • what song is that?

  • Muy Bueno. I Mean Great!!!

  • absolutely incredible.

  • nice man!!!

  • Awsome, nice work man

  • ur vids are fantasticc!!!!

  • I jizzed my pants

  • pleease make a tutorial :)

  • Hey... where did you find that wasteland

  • So hey man, you used After Effects, Boujou, and Photoshop?

What exactly in after effects did you do? I can see how the whole back is photo shopped, but did you use after effects for the smoke? And were was boujou applied? I'm still a noob in training. Finding books on this shit is impossible. You can only order them online, which sucks.

  • photoshops for the background.

After effects is for compositing it all together

and boujou was to motion track the guy walking.

  • google andrew kramer set extension... its where this guy prob learned how to do this. good tutorials on lots of things

  • great

  • you should make a video of how you made this. looks great man . you can make a movie with this kind of stuff

  • No shit :)

  • That's good, but it's too dark. I know it's meant to be dark, but a little more light casting on the road would look good. Other than that, everything seems to fit together nicely.

  • And yeah, that's alot better than andrews.

  • Oh boy ...Its suppose to be like that. Thats the beauty of it, the shot is not suppose to be steady. If it were steady anyone with a little skill could easily do it.

  • He's so... drunk!!!

Not the guy on the road - whomever's holding the camera. Ever think about using a Steadybag?

    Nice effects though.

  • If you knew anything about special effects then you would know that it is supposed to be shaky

  • Comment removed

  • @itsumonihon Hmm unless you were interested in the special effects aspect of film making (which does happen to exist in the industry, despite what you may think). Then it would be perfectly reasonable to showcase special effects work for the sole purpose of special effects. If the title had been "short film", or something along those lines, then I could see your point. But that is not the point of this, so don't bring it out of context.

  • @BlueCastStudios

Screw the ppl complaining, great job on the vid, I love it. Love FX and I can say, as you LEARN to do fx you have to make test clips, this is a test clip, everyone should STFU unless they know what they're talking about.

  • @itsumonihon Your an idiot with serious mental issues. Stfu and keep your idiotic opinions to yourself. =)

  • @donbear1983 you stfu, i was giving the film maker constructive criticism, you don't know how to accept criticism which is why you're a mediocre person with mediocre skills. die!

  • @itsumonihon Your outbursts lead me to conclude that you sir are a rabid, crybaby homosexual. I will no longer argue with the likes of your kind....

  • @donbear1983 with the likes of your kind? lol. idioms motherfucker, study em!

  • @itsumonihon you dont know shit.

  • @LookLoveShoot and i guess from eating it all the time you know all about shit

  • @itsumonihon thats supposed to insult me? haha like, everyone clearly knows that i dont eat shit. and if i did then i would insult MYSELF. like seriously come up with something intelligent to say other than retarded insults and bullshit opinions on shit you obviously know nothing about. ive won awards in festivals and im still in highschool so suck it fag boy.

  • Comment removed

  • @itsumonihon in case you havent noticed, its a test.

Stop being a stuck up asshole.

  • @itsumonihon you realise this is demo of special effects skills and NOT film making skills. Normally shots like this have shakey cameras because they are showcasing motion tracking. It also helps to sell the effects by using motion blur and the tracking to glue it all together.

  • @BlueCastStudios looks more realistic shaky :]!

  • That looked awesome. Great job.

  • this is great were do you take that extention photo?

  • I found it online

  • That was really nice, I was actually surprised, very impressive.

  • fuck ... fuck!!!!!!.... just love this .. better than andrew kramers

  • song pleace ???

  • The Wolf by Eddie Vedder

  • Excellent! I think you actually outdid Andrew Kramer's original!

  • Holy shit, that was frickin' incredible!
