He scored the only knockdowns of the fight and was controlling it on the ground when he caught the up kick that broke his orbital bone. He even finished the 2nd round blind. thanks but it isnt just about the fighter ....just at the fighting style of fighting of each training camp...chute boxe, brazilian top team, american top team, hammer house, kz factory...because we fighters do what we train even on subconscient level or muscle memory level...mistakes that wasnt correct in training and other things...rumina ,sakurai,fro yamaguchi are all kz factory material...lol
of course the camps matter, but in the ring (specifically lets not get into the street vs. mma thing) lots of things matter, stamina, strength, experience level, speed, reaction time and style, most of which are fighter attributes, not style attributes and its all situational anyways, boxing, kcikboxing, muay thai, sambo, BJJ, karate they all work depending on who you're up against and what they're good at, oh and also where the fight goes, pacetoomanyvariables to just say its the fighting style

Renzo is different than the other thou, he is the only Gracie who admits stand up is also important. The doc shows he has a great personality. Renzo is by far the best of the Gracies competition vise. Rickson fought cans and didnt step up against Sakuraba, Royces wins apart fom Ken are cans. Too bad Ryan had to go, he was young and talented.
yea I've seen the vid, Rickson was in the audience when Bas called him out after he won. Rickson has this "aura" around him, he doesnt give interviews, and many think hes the best Gracie. You should check out "Renzo Gracie-Legacy". Its the best mma documentary I've seen, better than "The Smashing Machine"

An independent cameraman follows Renzo for 10+ years around the globe, with behind the scenes footage from Vale Tudo, Rio, Pride, Hawaji, USA, different gyms, fighters etc. Renzo is not one of my fav fighters, but he deserves mad respect. This doc. also shows great bjj material. Its a real inside doc, not like "baddest man on the planet", where you see Fedor in Russia for only about ten min. Did I hype this enough?
With all due respect to Renzo, I don't like him that much as a person to actually spend a few hours watching a show about his life.
To be completely honest, even though I love BJJ I kinda dislike the Gracies for their cocky behavior and overall lack of morals. Not all of them of course, but definitely the more famous ones like Rickson.
I think Ryan would have come really far if he was still alive, there was something special about him.

I agree. They say that only "their" style is the best, and Rickson acts like he dont have to even speak cause hes so great. Renzo is different than the other thou, he is the only Gracie who admits stand up is also important. The doc shows he has a great personality. Your choice, but I recomend this to everyone, even those, who dont watch mma. Its done in a unique way

Renzo is by far the best of the Gracies competition vise. Rickson fought cans and didnt step up against Sakuraba, Royces wins apart fom Ken are cans. Too bad Ryan had to go, he was young and talented.

yea I've seen the vid, Rickson was in the audience when Bas called him out after he won. Rickson has this "aura" around him, he doesnt give interviews, and many think hes the best Gracie. You should check out "Renzo Gracie-Legacy". Its the best mma documentary I've seen, better than "The Smashing Machine"

neither. An independent cameraman follows Renzo for 10+ years around the globe, with behind the scenes footage from Vale Tudo, Rio, Pride, Hawaji, USA, different gyms, fighters etc. Renzo is not one of my fav fighters, but he deserves mad respect. This doc. also shows great bjj material. Its a real inside doc, not like "baddest man on the planet", where you see Fedor in Russia for only about ten min. Did I hype this enough?

With all due respect to Renzo, I don't like him that much as a person to actually spend a few hours watching a show about his life.
To be completely honest, even though I love BJJ I kinda dislike the Gracies for their cocky behavior and overall lack of morals. Not all of them of course, but definitely the more famous ones like Rickson.
