@system922 Actually, no. This is not rock n' roll, you shouldn't mess rock music with rock n' roll. Maybe it is ''lame ass lable'' but if people just started calling it ''rock'' and everything else would be called ''rock'' then rock would be pretty damn large are of sounds. So we call it Grunge to be precise of the music.
@andybirger "to be precise of the music"?? there are bands that sound NOTHING alike all lumped into the "grunge" lable so dont tell me its based on a sound. and theres not a single band or artist tagged with that lable that ever liked it. It was a media appointed lable. sorry, lame..
@andybirger NO, actually I dont got your point. If you are that easily confused when having a discussion about music then god help you. Van Halen? Honestly??
@system922 You are stupid if you didn't get my point. If I say ''I like Rock'' you can't know which bands I like and which ones I might not like. If I said I like Southern, you might realise I like Skynyrd, ZZ Top, Hatchet and that kinds of stuff. And what's wrong with Van Halen?
@system922 LOL, Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, Soundgarden, Mudhoney, etc. all have a similar enough sound. Most are from the Seattle area within the same decade. And I know for a fact that Mudhoney is fine being labeled as Grunge. It's Mark Arm (Vocalist of Mudhoney) that used the word "grunge" to describe his music before it became a genre. It's a fucking perfect genre label and when I hear these bands I think, GRUNGE
@system922 No shit. You may not like the label but it describes the music enough to know what to expect when you hear it. You can label Alice in Chains alternative metal but saying grunge you know that that band's from the '90s and possibly will have some heavy distored guitars. It's just describing a certain time period and scene of music. You can call it lame but it still describes the music
I was about 19 when I figured out that this was one of the coolest songs ever. 20 years later I'm still all about it! I only got to see Mudhoney live once way way back in the day. Thanks guys! I'm so glad you're still around.
... On an entirely different topic; Mark Arm is a silly goose! hehehe ~L~
The first time I heard this song I was smoking opium with my friend Muffin and I remember how enjoyable listening to it was... and still is all these years later! Some songs aren't restricted by time's passage and for me this is a great example. Thanks, Mudhoney and BVMGrungeTV !

Anyway I don't see why you’re complaining about Justin Bieber, if people like him that fine, that’s their OPINION, I just don’t see the appeal of it.
@ranmore30 couldnt agree more. people always bitchin about how bad music is and how this generations music sucks but in reality when bands like this came out their fathers and grandfathers was like "what the hell is this shit?" and when their children listen to a new group in 20 years. their kids are gonna like it and they will hat it. its a never ending cycle that music will always go through.
@yoshu2 yeah, I do agree but the difference between nows music and the music from the 50s-the late 90s was it was all made using real instruments. Now its all lip synicing with electronic music. There are a lot of great underground bands, but most of these so called rock bands, really do suck.
@skatepunkzero i agree with that. im no fan of a lot of music cause i prefer old stuff, just cause the fact a lot of stuff from 50's-60's wasnt as digital today. but you gotta also understand its hard to be innovative in times like these because...well lets face it, a lot of its been done in the past. and people like simple stuff. if it wasnt simple ,people wouldnt buy it because its "not poppishly generic enough"
im 17. i was born in 1993. i wish i was born in like the late 70's or early 80's. would be cool to expirience the excitment of the start of grunge and seeing nirvana live and alice in chains with layne staley. but its good to know that music will never die. :)

@7kole4 Unfortunatly I agree with you
I'm so fucking sad with our actual scene music :(
I hate pop
When I was 14 people made fun of me because they all said I just like old music
but know they are listening to grunge because it's cool for them, They don't enjoy, they just listen with the ears and not with the heart!
