I don't think POD is the first to do this. Remember Larry Norman or Resurrection Band. They've always been outspoken about their faith. The difference is that the secular media didn't give them much air play or exposure.

It takes more faith not to believe in God. I am grateful to these Christian bands my day goes better than when I listen to secular music. I also have a band for every one of my moods. I really feel sorry for these people posting that don't believe and will be praying for them. So sad that some will see the error of their ways when they die and the do go to hell.

@lovellespice I will have to disagree with you on this point. I think it's more likely that morality in a christian world-view is contingent on the threat of eternal torture that made it "uncool". Moreover, the ideology of original sin comes with some hefty baggage. We have a large majority of the population which believes that they have been endowed with a transcendent inescapable depravity. I often wonder what effect this has on the average person's psyche.
We were given free will. All created beings with the privilege of being given free will have the potential to sin or not to sin. W/ out these two probabilities, we can not claim to realy have free will. Please understand that sin is a personal act against God and not something you inherit. What we inherit is the sinfull nature man not Adam/eve actual sin itself. We are not punished for our father's sins. I say that grace is undeserved because generaly we all have sinned against Him. Rom 3:23.

Yes, I agree. But, I do not blame God for our situation. It is because of what Adam/Eve did and It is impossible for your average Joe to live exactly how Jesus lived on earth. We inherited their sinful nature. Bible teaches us that as men of our age its impossible to become holy on our own efforts and in order to enter heaven we must be holy. For us to become holy we must put our faith in Jesus and accept him as our Lord, Savior and God. John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8-9

@araregoodguy Have you taken the time to analyze the actions of both God and Satan in order to reach that conclusion? Satan killed only 10 according to the bible vs God's roughly 2.8 million. God also created evil according to Isaiah 45:7. I am by no means Satanic seeing as I don't believe the guy exists, but if you are willing to posit not one but two supernatural powers, you might want to do a little research before choosing which one to worship.

The believer generally maintains that their self worth is in Christ alone and that they are vindicated only through his death and resurrection. And when they ate it they died - not their body but their spirit. And after them everyone dies. So Jesus came as a man to die and to ressurrect to defeat death and satan. From that time on everyone who believes in him is saved and possesses Holy Spirit and ressurrecs from the dead.

1. P.O.D. does not preach a message of hypocrisy and prudery, but as were the preachings of Jesus, a message of love and purity.
2. P.O.D. and other Christian bands make about 22 cents for every dollar a secular band makes, on average.
3. P.O.D., as well as Skillet and many others, have a huge non-Christian following, and can boast thousands of converts to Christianity.

It takes more faith not to believe in God. I am grateful to these Christian bands my day goes better than when I listen to secular music. I also have a band for every one of my moods. I really feel sorry for these people posting that don't believe and will be praying for them. So sad that some will see the error of their ways when they die and the do go to hell.

@lovellespice I will have to disagree with you on this point. I think it's more likely that morality in a christian world-view is contingent on the threat of eternal torture that made it "uncool". Moreover, the ideology of original sin comes with some hefty baggage. We have a large majority of the population which believes that they have been endowed with a transcendent inescapable depravity. I often wonder what effect this has on the average person's psyche.

We were given free will. All created beings with the privilege of being given free will have the potential to sin or not to sin. W/ out these two probabilities, we can not claim to realy have free will. Please understand that sin is a personal act against God and not something you inherit. What we inherit is the sinfull nature man not Adam/eve actual sin itself. We are not punished for our father's sins. I say that grace is undeserved because generaly we all have sinned against Him. Rom 3:23.

Yes, I agree. But, I do not blame God for our situation. It is because of what Adam/Eve did and It is impossible for your average Joe to live exactly how Jesus lived on earth. We inherited their sinful nature. Bible teaches us that as men of our age its impossible to become holy on our own efforts and in order to enter heaven we must be holy. For us to become holy we must put our faith in Jesus and accept him as our Lord, Savior and God. John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8-9

@araregoodguy Have you taken the time to analyze the actions of both God and Satan in order to reach that conclusion? Satan killed only 10 according to the bible vs God's roughly 2.8 million. God also created evil according to Isaiah 45:7. I am by no means Satanic seeing as I don't believe the guy exists, but if you are willing to posit not one but two supernatural powers, you might want to do a little research before choosing which one to worship.

The believer generally maintains that their self worth is in Christ alone and that they are vindicated only through his death and resurrection. When that is questioned many have somewhat of a visceral reaction and begin to feel as if their self worth itself is in question. Don't be mistaken, if you are correct God is powerful enough to fight his own battles.

@kampuri You're right but I have read that the purpose of Jesus's sacrifice is because of Adam and Eve. God told them not to eat the forbidden fruit or they'll die. And when they ate it they died - not their body but their spirit. And after them everyone dies. So Jesus came as a man to die and to ressurrect to defeat death and satan. From that time on everyone who believes in him is saved and possesses Holy Spirit and ressurrecs from the dead.

Listen to there song "strength of my life". That was based on Psalms. And they did say his name in that song by the way.

@BIGDADDYDUKE2 what if the disiples and leaders of the churches use jesus name as much as pod? would anyone ever get saved or even know who jesus is? if you feel pod helped you get saved then thats great. im just glad your saved.

Thanks man. But as far as church leaders and disiples go, well people shouldn't be putting there faith n them anyways, don't leave it up to people to lead you to God, let God lead. Theres such things as bibles. Let Gods word lead you. And more than likely P.O.D. does not say Christ name in many songs because alot of people are sensitive to christianity. Every time you hear the word christian it leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

From the way people act about it. Some people claim there christians and act the total opposite. So people get the impression like thats what a christian is. People, and no offense, but people like you accusing people like the way you accused P.O.D. makes christians look bad. People see that and there like thats what christians are about, always judging someone, I don't want any piece of that. And all the divisions in the church when God says there shouldn't be.

P.O.D. doesn't come out and say oh praise God praise him if you don't you go to hell. People don't want God forced on them. P.O.D. is more like theres more to live than everything that we know exist. Which that is said in there song youth of the nation. Go to there concerts or watch there live videos on youtube they pray with the crowd all the time. In my opinion P.O.D. touchs on God more than some Gospel bands do. You just have to know the word. I didn't know there song I and Identify...
