@tprice126 good ass deal, i paid 350 for my 2 12 p1s but i got a 800watt kenwood i dont think insignia is as good though, but your friend is gonna shit his pants if he wants a shit system. these arent ear defining bass by any means but they deliver good clear loud bass on all songs, which alot of cheaper subs dont provide. i love them!
I had the same subs, and they bang dang good for the price, I also has some 12" Kicker Comp 2008 models, and they bang as well, Kicker does hit a little hard then the P1, but they both have a great sound to them, It's sad to see ppl dissing out ppl's system and wear are u video's Exactly

There's nothing wrong with these subs. I have 1 10" P1 that shakes my car. However. I'm not sure if you have enough power going to these. My 1 10" could do better.
@Magoother Mine came in a factory ported box. Just the sub is 60, I have a 200 watt fosgate amp powering it. You should get yourself the 500 watt mono fosgate amp. That's what I'm getting next to power 2 10s. Also, ported boxes are louder than sealed, which might also be a factor.

i own 2 rf p2 12" and they dump. i think 12s are the perfect size for sound and bass whereas 15s seem to have more distortion in the actual music because of the bass. with rf anyway.
I have 2 12" P3 shallow mounts power em just right and make a nice box slam hard, save space. I'm selling them now though cause I have room in my new vehicle
OrElseUWillDie, you can but, make sure you use A/B class amp pushing at least 120 to 200rms watts a channel. Now, if you only have a 2 channel amp and you want to bridge it make sure your amp is capable of 2ohms or you can run it in series @8ohms. if you go with the P1's.

@chanc812 P3's are more expensive though. They rock ass, but for people like me, P1's are good place to start. Especially if you know what you're doing. I could make a horn loaded box it lower and harder with two P1 10's than 2 P3 10's in a sealed box.
A small sealed box will the bass tight and a ported box will make the bass boomer and louder. I have mind's in a .79 cu. ft. sealed box, pushing with a Aline MRP-M450 D class mono amp, which is set up @ 2ohms, at 400 rms. We all have different opinion, but I will suggested you get A/B class amp pushing at less 200 rms to each sub. I got my amp gain half way up, the bass EQ at zero, and the LP filter at 100hz, and I been told I sound like truck with 15's come down the block.
all subs are gonna be loud. these are nice because they have good quality and are loud when you want 'em. at least you'll be able to hear when ya get outta the car haha

I had 2 P1's 15 inches. They were garbage. Gave a nice low sound, but couldn't handle most songs, It would drop notes to slow, and couldnt keep up with songs.
And I know the wiring, and the amp worked perfectly, because when i bought 2 new p2's it pumped like crazy.

well i don't much care what any of you guys say, i got 2 12" p1's and i'm just running a 500 watt amp, i listen to metal and hardcore so i just want them for the double kicks and they run amazing, and i picked my subs up already in the box for 200 bucks, some girl needed money for college and barely used them, fuck spendin a shit load, and who gives a fuck if people can hear you just rock out to your tunes and who give a fuck

agreed with both of you. i mean i have a 12" Kicker Solo-X thats doing 147.0 dB on the dash right now, upgrading to an X 18 this summer, shooting for 150 dB. but i love seeing other people's systems, and getting ideas for my own, regardless of whos is louder. i tell people to be happy with their system if they like it. you should get the amount of bass you want. good video.

I had 2 P1's 15 inches. They were garbage. Gave a nice low sound, but couldn't handle most songs, It would drop notes to slow, and couldnt keep up with songs.
And I know the wiring, and the amp worked perfectly, because when i bought 2 new p2's it pumped like crazy.
Deep pockets? p2's are what 100 bucks more?

You just need an amp with a LPF (low pass filter). Without an LPF you will get voice sound.which isnt fun lol....

i spend 40 on the sub (PG R12) and 45 on the amp (cerwin Vega does about 400 RMS) and i have to say buying used rules it is a really nice little system. there is no way you can be heard miles away, so stop lying. i would never spend a grand on a system, im too cheap
