@ThatDamnbear24 It's 2012, not 1999. NJPW is NOT "very big" in Japan at all. The marquee networks used to have bid wars for the rights to air NJPW. Now they have a 30 minute local slot at ass o'clock in the AM.

Their shows don't draw nearly what they used to and this year's 1/4 Dome show drew less than 25,000 (kayfabe reported attendance was 40,000+).

Yukes bought NJPW in a fire sale and just sold it in a fire sale for under $7 million. It was not a money maker for them.

@ThatDamnbear24 And the new owner of NJPW is being called the Dixie Carter of Japan in the sense that he has grandiose plans but is really just a fan with little actual business experience in the industry.

I don't know if you are uninformed about the state of Japanese combat sports for the past 5+ years or what, but saying NJPW is "very big" in Japan simply isn't true.

An accurate statement would be NJPW at one time WAS very big over there, like well over a decade ago.

@LHGrunge Yes, WWE owns this theme. MVP said so himself on Twitter when fans requested he put the MP3 up for download or on iTunes for purchase.

Thing is, Japanese promotions in general don't really care about stuff like US copyright laws for music and NJPW is obscure enough in WWE's primary market that they won't bother having McDevitt go through the legal channels to pursue any sort of international lawsuit.

Just look at Taijiri....he uses his WWE theme in Japan all the time.

@devinboy9 laugh out loud Just to clear things up Japanese Fans are way different than United States of America Fans And the difference is Loyalty and Respect Sure Some Fans in the states are Loyal but in the "act of things" They Cheer and boo to the good and bad But in Japan you get Cheered heel or face and the quietness is respect.
