  • great birds... it's crows is almost that of a true Ceylon.. I raise ceylon junglefowl, and have herd of crosses but had never seen one. Thanks for share.

  • nice guy. good cross.. doing my own cross as well..

  • Hello!

This is Tommy. How are you my friend. Is your new "job" going well? Hope all is well and that you had a great Thanksgiving. More Holidays are nearing and wish the best. You have done a lot to help all of us so thank you. Take care and keep in touch. Hopefully in the future with the new Jungle Fowl forum, it will be bigger and better than ever : )

  • Where did you obtain your Ceylon Junglefowl stock from? I've always wanted to buy a couple.

  • doesn't look like a Ceylon hybrid to me either.

It does look like a Bengal X Red JF -that is one quarter Grey and three quarters Red JF - the comb is problematic as the Ceylon JF comb is dominant and there is no evidence of it here.

    Beautiful bird however.

  • @Afropavo have to disagree with your statement about the ceylon comb being a dominant trait as most of the ceylon hybrids lack the yellow spot in the comb. this would not be the case if it was dominant.

  • looks good...

  • Nice!!!

  • nice bird, weak crow though.

  • Wow :O

  • Yes it is a cross from a Red junglefowl rooster and a Ceylon junglefowl hen. I did this cross myself and produced this rooster and the hen in the video. The pullet in the video is their chick from last year so they are a fertile cross as well.

  • @onefowl1 you really shouldn't purposefully cross wild birds like that. It's irresponsible...

  • is it really crossed with a ceylon?? it doesn't show any characteristics of a ceylon... something else is giving it those really long lesser sickle tail feathers... I had a red jungle fowl that was crossed with a japanese pheonix and it looked just like that...

  • nice bird... I used to have one just like it. hard to find one that crows like the wild type

  • beauuuuutiful
