Having trouble with the counter-wrapping? Just make as many circles of 12 balls as you can. When you're pulling six apart, take them off 1 by 1 by splitting the ring at one point and "unwrapping" the ring. Then, just put them together into 6 rings!

I too had fingers that were too big for this trick but I used my pinky and made 3 tubes of 6 rows then did it. it took a couple times but I got it. Thanks for the help

there did it! if your fingers are too big you have to figure out how to get the coil going and develop some different techniques but it can be done.

My fingers are apparently way too big to wrap only 12 of these around.

Instead, I wrapped 12 into a circle onto the surface of a table, then started wrapping the next 12 above that, alternating each way.

The next problem I had was breaking 6 rows off evenly. So, instead, I build 6 rows separately from the others.

The final problem I had was splitting it into two halves. I solved this by also building each half separately.

So, I just made 3 "tubes" each 6 rows, then the rest was cake.

I have an easy way. I just counted 36 (6x6) off of the chain and fold. Repeat till u got 6x36 ribbon of balls. Then just fold by 6 each and you will have a 6x6 cube.
