Stars we could have enjoyed for many years, if they weren't killed: Rob Moroso, Davey Allison, Alan Kulwicki, Adam Petty, Kenny Irwin Jr; Dale for a couple more years... Robbie Stanley if given the opportunity would have been a great one unfortunately he was killed while still in USAC
From what I heard about Rob Moroso, he had a ton of talent and could have been successful in the Cup Series. Sadly, we'll never find out as he made that fateful choice to drink and drive on his way home from that Wilkesboro race...
my parents both worked at moroso and knew rob personally, they say he was a great kid. what a waste... RIP rob! i have an unopened 1:64 of his car, wondering what its worth..
does anyone rember rob moroso he should of been nascars next big driver but sad to say he ended up duying in a car crash cause he was drunk when i saw the 20 car on the clip just got me rembering him
I thought this was THE crash of 1990 Daytona. (or was that 30 car pileup in the firecracker 400?...it was the one where the King, Greg Sacks and Derrick Cope were three wide on the first lap and caused a big one...)
He was one MRN before that. On Wind Tunnel once they were showing the '76 Daytona 500 and he said he had the call in turns 3 and 4 and threw it to the next announcer right before Pearson and Petty crashed.
@jmoney11 Fuck Rob Moroso. He got what was coming to him, its just too bad he had to take someone with him.

I was wondering the same thing. Just last night I finished a model of his 1990 Buick (the same one in the crash).

Correct, that was the Pepsi 400 in July where they had that big wreck at the end of lap 1.

I know Rob Moroso was from Connecticut, but were a lot of guys on his team from New England?
By the way, Chris Economaki can't do math.

From what I remember, he did pit road reporting for CBS races from around 1985-1991-ish. Might be able to google for exact dates if you want.
