  • Hughie Hancox R.I.P.

  • Yeah Hughie, Unions havent changed. Great book, bit more insight- BSA's/Unionism's sabotage of Triumph. Corporate greed overall. I have a Meriden 77 OIF T140V & a Hinckley 2000 Thunderbird (Electric Start, Overhead Cam, Liquid Cooled, 6 speed 900cc Triple) - a modern T160. Awesome bike, "retro styled" with modern comforts. Read the book in two days(couldnt put it down), now I want that pre unit Thunderbird even more!!! Thanks for your efforts on remarkable machines.........jeff

  • A nicely written, very entertaining and enlightening book. Loved the bit about Steve McQueen's gloves! - Having read the Bert Hopwood, John Rosamond books about the company, I see here a different angle on the "workers co-op" and all the union stuff, it must have been both disheartening and frustrating to have worked in the company that was world-renowned, and watch it deteriorate in the hands of b*s*t and union malcontents. I would assume that Hughie and John Rosamond are not best mates!
