  • another kinda important question, does it have a heat regulator? i noticed the thermometer but that may just be there to check...

  • does it have a battery option? i ask because my computer is a laptop and i cant leave it open at all times..

  • @tacos0816 It needs battery to power the clock and lights. However, in order for the pump to work you need to have it plugged in with a USB. It does not have a heat regulator.

  • Lonely fish

  • Im just curious how much was this and does it have a filter if so how would you clean it. Can you also say the full name of this fish as i may get a tank and the same fish.

Thanks this video helped a lot.

  • @ambashuk1 It as $29.99. It has an Under-gravel filtration system. To clean it I take Vlad out of the tank (and into another water container) and I run hot water all in the tank, clean the gravel ect. Betta Splendens also know as the Siamese Fighting Fish. Hope this helps :)

  • When I grow up, I want to work in a cubicle :D

  • is the thermometer for the water or room temp?

  • @TheCgk1 Water temperature.

  • How often do you have to clean it? thanks

  • @dodgeyvids Once a Month.

  • @DatboiBurna I am not selling these, however they are available via ThinkGeek and Amazon.

  • Is it just me? Or does yours have 2 multi color LED lights, one in the back and one in the front? Is that what I'm seeing here? If so, I'll have to check mine in the morning. It is too dark to disturb my Crown Tail Betta tonight, but I always thought the changing light didnt really do anything. Yours seems to light up way better than mine with one in the back helping.

  • does it come with a filter?

  • @MrZippy4444 It comes with an Under-gravel filtration system.

  • @AnniStarr thanks!

  • quick question! How do you change the water? Is the tank removable?

  • @incubuslove13 The tank is not removable. What I do is fill a container with water, let it sit in the same room as the tank for an hour or two then put water conditioner in it and using a net scoop the fish into the new water. And the same procedure for putting the fish back into his tank. Hope this helps :)

  • Does Betta still live

  • Great to see that you have a Betta in there. From what I've heard from experts, they are the only fish wich can live healthy in such a small space. However, I don't see why you have chosen such a low water level :P

Anyway... Could you please tell me how many volts this thing runs on. I want to order one of thouse and blug it into the wall, just like you have :)

And yes... I will also buy a betta :P

Thank you for your time :)

  • @JonasEldin The Water level is a little below the maximum. I constantly have to replenish the water in tank because my room is so hot and dry it evaporates. USB is typically around 5 volts and three AA batteries 3.5. Betta is a good choice :) Actually the container he came with was significantly smaller then the fishtank, but he seems happy and healthy. Good luck!

  • @AnniStarr Thank you for your answer :)

However, I'm starting to change my mind a little about this fish tank.

It is kinda small and the information regarding the betta isn't very clear due to everyones separate opinion...

Some say that it's alright to keep a betta in such konditions, others says that it's not :P

  • @JonasEldin Bettas are a good choice because they are a very solitary fish. My first choice would have been a Guppy but they like being in schools. And if you have more then one Guppy eventually they'll multiply. Which would be a problem. I got one of the smaller Bettas too, there were quite a very larger and fancier ones. He seems happy and I've seen Bettas being held in smaller containers. I'm not familiar with any other small solitary fish, sorry. Hope you find the right kind of fish. :-)

  • @AnniStarr Thank you again :)

However... I'm not sure about getting the tank anymore regardless of the fish.

It is just very small and I'm kind of consurned about it being to small for ANY fish...

I have been talking to experts, which claims that the betta is the only one who can live in such small enviorments. In any case... I have also heard that though they can survive, they won't live as healthy as in a bigger tank.

I'm not judging you or anything... I'm just wondering for myself :)

  • @AnniStarr does the fish come with it
