i got to read What Is the What for my Arts Studies class and wrote a final paper on it. Very inspiring story. Very inspiring and brave man. I really hope the VAD Foundation can grow and do what it aims at doing. Good luck with everything you do!
Beautiful girls, beautiful language. What a dream come true for Deng. Not only is he back but building a school for his village!! I wish I could go there and help!
@sarahgurl82 Every dinka needs to change their way of thinking, their behaviour and the way they interact with non-dinka people. I believe they (dinkas) are they only remaining savages in Africa!. My apology to you if you are a dinka.
new sudan together we will be forever proud and free and we all share a dream that will never die that someday everyone will hold their heads up high and given what should not be denied.
new sudan together we will be forever proud and free we can sing out loud our own song and know we have the right the to be wrong we can soar like an eagle in throughout our journey never compromise.
with our new sudan we can say what we feel and know in our hearts that every world is real we can question all the anesrs without fear to find the truth we can lift our eyes to heaven an believe in the god we choose
Deng's story is incredibly inspiring. It's wonderful to see someone who has been through such hardship be able to go on and to still be able to smile. Reading What is the What was extremely hard at times. But I know if he can overcome the troubles of his past, I can overcome the far less traumatic ones in mine. :)

It's almost unfair to ask about jobs they would like to have if they are going to be married off in a few years.

Work hard every day to be the best person you can be, but never feel guilty if you fall short of your goals. Every sunrise offers a second chance.
