@sfdvlam68 Thanks and yes, the cat's learnt a while back that the quickest way to get into the house was through the window in my front room so they learnt that one all by themselves! ;-)

Made a load more videos since this one in 2009 but as John Reagan would say, I'm still probably the best kept secret on YT! Maybe I should do more NYC travel videos as that series did prove popular...

I watch your videos for You (and Mr. Funny of course) and it has been a pleasure to watch for the past two years, infact you were only the second YouTuber I took any notice of and it was your Vegas series where I first came across you (which may mean variety is good for the channel!) I have been watching your videos for a long time and quietly enjoy them, in response to your comment about increase subscriptions but non-increase in comments, this maybe because the average viewer treats it like TV.

You watch and enjoy, may even recommend it to a friend but we dont necessarily write to the writers etc. to express our love for the program. I am not sure the reason for this but never the less it doesn't matter, as the important thing is that we enjoyed it and come back for more.

and as I think I have said elsewhere, most of my videos due to their nature would be catagorised as light entertainment are not intended to provoke great debate, so I'll be the 1st to admit that with a lot of them there is not an awful lot for the viewer to make comment on.

Thanks John and if I'm being honest after watching this video back now a few times I'm not really sure I fully got my point across... I still consider myself a vlogger in training so it's to be expected! ;)

What I meant to say is that in terms of video making the 1st person you need to keep happy is yourself. You could go for the easy option and only post Good Youtuber/Bad YouTuber videos but after a while there would just be no challenge and I'd guess it would become less satisfying

and it's the same with me, only posting Mr Funny videos would be the easy option and although I have no intention of ending 'Cat & Funny' mixing up the guest stars/posting vlogs etc keeps things interesting for me.

That said, even 'if' I only posted videos with Andy there are an unlimited number of things we could talk about which all makes to keep things interesting

Views have indeed dwindled on their own as there's so much more content readily available. I'm grateful beyond words to every person that watches my mundane analog creations.

yeah it does seem odd that with 3x the subscribers views/comments are not a lot different than 2 years back. But I would guess subscribers are quite fluid and lets not forget, not everyone sticks with YT each year like we (and many of our peers) do!

I like the variety too. It's more real. Somehow through watching you guys, it's a bit like knowing an in person friend. We get a chance to get to know people we'd never meet otherwise and it's a load of fun. Well, either that or I like your furniture...

I watch all your videos but don't always comment. Been a loyal subscriber since your vid on women not being funny that got featured. So even if you did get a lot of crap from certain humourless folks it did get viewers too. :D

Also started watching Greedo's too - but he hasn't posted anything in ages.

Somehow I have 79 subscribers, despite having only 7 completely unrelated videos and never once requesting that people subscribe...

actually Greedo did post something the other day, I missed it on my subscription page (which is easily done) but he did post a new video (well, an old one depending on how you look at it).

and it's funny really, I recently had a PM about a video from someone that had never left a comment but is clearly still watching. My videos aren't generally of a thought provoking nature which is why I think you often see a lot more comments when people do serious vlogs

I know what you mean about views. Like you, i've got more subscribers now, but the views haven't really changed that much. And it seems to be the same people watching & commenting all the time, which is great.

I guess we all have our loyal watchers & commenters.

I totally agree about mixing things up on our channels, if we can. That's one of the things i like about yours & John's channels, the variety.

I try to do the same thing as well & much prefer it that way.

thanks Andy and I'm not 100% sure I really got my point across in this video, there was a pertinent line that somehow didn't make the final edit and that was that making videos has to remain fun! And as along as you are making the videos you want to make then forget the fact that not everyone will like every video you make - especially if as I say here, you like to mix things up.
