The GENESIS was a sports machine, and adventure games, the super nes was a role playing machine, the sports games on the super nes sucked, even though the system had better hardware, the main cpu was slower when compared to the genesis, and that slow cpu made alot of there sports games play slow and sluggish, but they did get a little better over time
Your videos are cool, I love this kinda stuff. Yeah when I was a kid I liked Sega cuz it had Sonic, and Sonic was the "cool dude". Looking back from now, SNES was definitely a better system overall in terms of graphics and games.
pls don't do those annoying voices in the video. just do a rundown of the systems (which I really like) unless you are funny which you are not so I'm sorry it's really annoying :)
lol agreed on the fishing etc etc. but what about Tecmo Bowl wasent that fun? lol.
Sadly what i end up missing most in games is how there use to be secret passwords(I.E U,D,D,L,E,R Select Start for a video game unlocked some levels etc etc).
Sega pwns Nintendo, in my opinion. Sega had awesome games like Sonic the Hedgehog, Shining Force, Phantasy Star, Zombies Ate My Neighbors...the list is endless. 8D
The Super Nintendo was awesome, but the 1 thing I didn't like was how expensive some of the games were when they first came out. Around where I was livin at the time, when Megaman X2 first came out, it costed 70 bucks for the game, not countin sales tax. Metroid Prime 3 when it first came out only costed 50.
haha weird al aww yah XD anyways I personally didnt like the password feature for the sole reason of either they were too damn long or too damn hard to read or didnt stay on the screen long enough. But yes ahh back in the day.
awesome 16 bit era rules! Phillips CD-i with the crappy ass Zelda and Mario games. the Jag had some great games, Alien vs predator and Doom (64/32bit arguments). The FM Towns was the first CD Rom based system ever. Love the NEC Systems (had to bring up the 8/16bit LOL)! Crazy expensive for Drac X (like $500). HAHA "Blast Processing." of course "Mode 7" does it all! ~qqR
Sure Shadow of the colossus has huge bosses. But its just not the same as 16 bit bosses. Games i feel have lost the sense of fun these days. With the exception of some titles: God of war, devil may cry, silent hill, resident evil and guitar hero. Games from the past are alot better IMO. Thats what the goose is gettin' at. I agree 100% the 16 bit era is one of the finest moments in gaming. Goose keeps these vids coming!!! 2 thumbs way up!!!!
I've never got the OH SHIT I'M GONNA DIE feeling. I just kill them, I mean sotc and old bosses from way back when. They're impressive but not imposing, atleast not for me.
i love ur videos about gaming history and ur funi jokes u do i especailly love this vid keep up the good work and funy jokes :) any chance you can mention abou 360? ps3? and wii
Eh I was born after the golden age. I thought the concept of FF7 was to hit the x button repeatedly. I wish I was around to experience the Sega Nintendo thing.
Sick review.. u know the deal when it comes to this old school shit keep up the good work.. i think both snes and genesis are amazing in there own ways.. but NES is the best system in my opinion just too many games that defined video games up until today
Ya I know what you mean with the password deal. I did the samething many times my self with games like Simon's Quest and CV3 for the nes with the symbols.
@LuigiBros64 because Sega failed due to their own mistakes. Nintendo had nothing to do with Sega's downfall. Sony was the one who took Sega out with both the Playstation and the Playstation 2. Many people blame Sony for Sega's loss but it was Sega's own fault. If Sega didn't make the 32x, Sega CD and they took their time with the Sega Saturn and the Sega Dreamcast, they might be making game consoles today.
u remember GamePro? lol i thought i was the only one remember they used to give out free games to viewers that letters were read? i tried it and never gor shit lol
Well we can see someones a Nintendo Fan, You stuck up for the SNES a lot more than the Genesis. The Genesis had stuff the SNES didnt and The SNES had stuff the Genesis didnt. Overall there both great consoles in there own way.
I think that is a valid point. The truth is I do like Sega as much as SNES - however, I was going back to my youth when Sega fans would annoy me by claiming Sega was better than Nintendo.
great job. i dont know how the hell you know all this crap i never head of half of those systems. i went from nes to turbo grafix to sega to supernintendo
