No offense but if you really 'love' the band as you say, don't you think you should have at least taken the time to learn how the band's name is pronounced?
Now I've listened it, I think that "everything remains" is their best album. I think that they have tried to make a album that sound like "everything remains" album but with more folk. I remember that the first time I listened to "everything remains" I was thinking all the time: WOW!! This really rocks!!
But in "Helvetios" I didn't feel it. It hadn't any good surprise while listening it. All was predictable.
"Helvetios" is a good album but, for my opinion, it's not the best of Eluveitie.
I loved "Everything remains", and I've listened "Rose for Epona" and "Meet the Enemy" and... I think they have become so much "folk" and it sounds a little bit weird. And the female voice.... simply I think that makes the music less agressive, I prefer male voices in the metal music. This is the first impression that I got from those two songs. Maybe, when I listen the whole album my appreciation changes.
@saturnosring You should look up "Havoc", I think there's an official video on here.
I tend to disagree anyway, they have become more "metal" while still retaining the folk elements. But compare this album to Slania or Vên ... it's more on the metal side, I think.
The folk part doesn't sound weird in the least, by the way. It's what they do, and it's a good thing they don't change that. I'm actually looking forward to Evocation II, I think ...
better than evyerything remains eh? i fucking loved that album so this is gonna be epic! Also, why 8? y not 10? is there anything negative about this album? :P
Also, its a concept album, its about the Helveitie 's involvement in the Gaulish wars against Rome they were the first to have to battle those bastards, and the Picts(scots) were the last ones they could never conquer(also the Gaels of Ireland) Europe used to be a completely Celtic land minus the lands to the north and north east under Germanic occupation. Rome destroyed that and the harmony of nature, then brought Christ, and completely destroyed our European tribal identity.
It's pronounced EL-VAY-TEE. It's in Gaulish. Another reason is the play of words with their EluTV - it's meant to sound exactly like the band name, but with the VAY and TEE switched over.
well my opinion on the album is that they are remaking most of their songs and well...they were one of my favourite bands that one to whose concerts I would always go. After Helvetios I'm not sure I would.
nooooo my band is playing march 1st tooooo :( i wanted to go see them so bad love them

For the pronounciation of their name, listen to 'Uis Elveti' (from the album 'Ven').

@heero7yui Just cause you love a band doesn't mean you have to know how to pronounce the name

it's a concept album , it tells the story of the Helvetios, and there is no celebration, the romans killed almost all of them...

They are selling the whole disc at their shows, before it is officially released... I bought it last night in Denver. It doesn't disappoint.
