So this remains the best version of this song on YouTube!!!! I saw I posted a year ago but I actually miss Missouri for real now!! Took a roadtrip across the country last summer and got to visit St. Louis and Kansas City with the Gateway Arch and some great barbecue at Arthur Bryants in KC but we took a detour off some local roads to visit Sara Evans hometown of New Franklin (my FB profile pic was taken in the middle of main street! and nearby Booneville....wonderful state with friendly people!

Boy, if this song doesn't hit this Missouri "expatriate" living in Colorado right in the solar plexus . . . growing up in rural St. Louis County, beguiling innumerable, innocent, idyllic hours playing baseball in the barn lot, whole days in the Missouri woods hiking down to the creek to catch crawdads and skip stones, felling trees for firewood, reading Mark Twain with mom and siblings in the summertime, watching dad painting Missouri landscapes in vivid watercolors--missing Missouri, indeed!
