The thing about Crysis though was that the engine (cryengine 2 version 1) was not optimised, which was a big mistake that Crytek made. The dunia engine in Far cry 2 however, is optimised, meaning better peformance all round!

Nah I have a dual, dont intend on upgrading to a quad really, well depends on price, I'll see how farcry 2 performs, me thinks it will be similar to crysis which dont seem to run any better with a quad.

But you must take into account all the features they added. The whole dynamic wind system and weather patterns.More complex physics, and higher poly's. Im sure your duel core will run it but not at full settings. For your sake a hope it does ; )

If my GPU is capable it will run at high, doubt any of our GPU's will, its another Crysis I rekon, besides this should support GPU physics so I'll slap an NV card back in :)

Yeah, but the difference is it's also for the 360 and PS3, so you can run it at full settings right out of the box, no system upgrades required.

If its properly optimized then it'll fly on the PC then even with AA, if all games where optimized I would not need to upgrade for ages as my PC is way more powerful then any console for graphics, infact most peoples are.

Sorry to upset you mate but you've been fooled in that case or don't have enough knowledge about computer tech.

Just because a console maxxes it out automatically by having a less good card theese days doesn't mean that if you've a higher card on the PC you'll max it out.

The PC version of Farcry 2 will allow for more detail options than the 360, just like any other examples BIA or COD 4, Unreal Tournament.

You'll need at least 8800GTX for far cry 2.

Nah, have lots of tech knowledge, I built my computer. Anyway, of course the PC version will have more options like AA, that's a given. But I'm overclocking my GT to beyond GTX levels, my friend has the exact same setup as me but with a GTX and I get better FPS in games because of my overclocked CPU and GPU.
