  • please help ! does anyone the music ? or the type

  • the Daleks watch ceefax

  • Oracle was used on ITV and Channel 4, which became Teletext on 3 and Teletext on 4 respectively. This would have been during the new year of 1992/3 if I remember rightly. That switchover incidentally featured 'Going ...' and 'Gone!' messages displayed as midnight and hence they new year approached.

    BBC has always used Ceefax.

  • @monsieurtechnical I have experimented with my own service

  • dose anyone remember the switch over from oricle to ceefax,,, i think that what it was i watched it live ,,,oh good times,,,,,

  • You must have your wires crossed, as Oracle and Ceefax are completely separate services.

  • i love ceefax jazz xxx

  • i love ceefax, mostly cuz of the music. when the switchover commeces, life wont be the same in 2009 when the normal channels will be signed off, no more ceefax :( i will really miss the music :(

    xx mav xx

  • I do not reasonably expect BBC2 to still be closing down by the end of this year, pre-empting the problem with Ceefax itself ending. Already, BBC2 has been broadcasting continuously at weekends and I expect (although do not want) this to be permanent very soon.

  • @tvarksouthwest IPTV is to replace CEEFAX during the shutdown period on BBC2.

  • Ah man, how I miss Ceefax :(

  • What a sad life some have :0)

  • 5 in teh morning as well.

  • ahhh how i would rather watch ceefax all night rather that the crappy quiz shows on itv throughout the night

  • me too, me too :)

  • Yeah man liking the jazz :D I remember when I was 10 and woke up randomly at 5am and listening to this :D

  • LMAO...was watching this afta a hefty session...on xbox live sent me to sleep straight away. wot is with ceefax music that sends u asleep.

  • Doctuhwhu, this particular bit of Ceefax was broadcast on Tuesday 2nd January this year. The reason why The Learning Zone wasn't on is because it takes a break over the Christmas period from around mid-December and usually returns around the second week of January. Learning Zone broadcasts have been g reduced recently and so Ceefax is broadcast through the night at weekends now.

  • Ceefax Music Details can be found on the Test Card Circle Website

  • Ceefax is great when you aren't sober, so chilling! Why have all these expensive CD relaxation compilaiations when you have Ceefax!!!

  • does anyone know how to get like, alll of the ceefax music? It brings back so many memorys and is better than ANY sleeping tablet.

  • Have you found out??

  • Ceefax will be gone forever in this format when the give analogue the boot?! The thought of it! No more black screen and enjoyable simplicity!

  • i know!!!!! i will miss it :( why have the switch over? it is silly, why cant people learn that we want to have Ceefax music? i do not know :(

    xx mav xx

  • CEEFAX! Heheha you are a legend, quality entertainment when you're wasted
