  • what is the name of the guy who was as easy as glass joe?

  • 5:54 he's says in turkish: hey doc are you teaching mac to get beat up?

  • @29catz really? i thought he said something about spanking

  • @cjszero01 are you serious that you fight Doc Louis if you join club nintendo and how do you get DK.

  • I should re-word that. at 6:05 "Zut" if the french term for "Oh darn" in English. Ahh that sounds better

  • Cj at 6:05 glass Joe said "Oh darn" Which is the English term for "zut" in french

  • @falloutboy97100 no, he said ow, my cheek if im correct

  • Well he could of been saying ow my cheek but "Zut" means "oh darn" in English. So technically were both right

  • It,s cool that you used the star punches and ...all other punches to match the music in the beggining :D

  • who was in the background?

  • kinda ironic that the Nintendo boxing game had no playable characters in Brawl, don't you think?

  • @TheBetabyte No PLAYABLE characters, BUT little mac was in there as an assist trophy.

  • id rather play this than ufc 2010

  • RELEASE THE BOGUS!

  • a 4/5 BECAUSE THERES DONKEY KONG!!!!!!!

  • it looked so satisfying doing those star punches

  • If the Indian guy can teleport Doc Louis, a great move would have been when Mac is about to punch him, he ends up punching a teleported Doc instead!

  • PELT ARAN RYAN WITH A BOOT!

  • RELEASE THE bogus...

  • but the best part about this game are the fighters and characters

  • whee in the background do you see him

  • they should put the guy from punchout in the next super smash bros. game :D

  • You haven't played SFIII, have you.

(French Boxer Dudley: Let's fight like GENTLEMEN.)

And one of the in between round quotes from DL is:

If you need some help... maybe I should call my plumber!

  • You haven't played SFIII, have you.

(French Boxer Dudley: Let's fight like GENTLEMEN.)

  • 4:52 RELEASE THE BOGUS

  • 6:57 you should make a top 10 of that tails and luigi would be high on that!

  • I HATE ARAN RYAN!!!!! i never beat him

  • i haven't seen a comment about this but i noticed that at the beginning had the punching was matching the beats of the song. All i can say is that must have taken alot of time and effort good job. (i don't mean to say that you shouldn't have done that it was clever and a cool way to begin)

  • Doc Louis looks like a fusion of Fat Albert and Cleveland from Family Guy.

  • "Well thank you for being a nice gentleman but this is BOXING!" That was pure gold xD

  • is DK the charecter you can fight if you join club nintendo?

  • @MultiCool55 No, Doc Louis is.

  • @cjszero01 "ITS CHOCLICIOUS"

boy that phrase haunts my nightmares...

  • true difficulty comes from the game itself, not from the amount of continues you get, this one is slightly harder, if i had unlimited continues i could beat nes punch out.

  • Love the first one, snes one but I HATE this one. Sorry but i do!

  • @Doyledeth Can you give a reason such as not really an upgrade or nothing really changed? Just asking.

  • @cjszero01 I was hoping for an all new cast with only a few returning characters. I just never could get into this one as well. don't really know why, but I just can't. doesn't have that magic to me.

  • @Doyledeth I hear ya. I've heard that they were making another one and there's supposed to be alot of changes, even a create your own boss mode. Hope that stays in.

  • can u reveiw link to past

  • cjszero what is your favorite match with?

  • Aran Ryan.

  • Yeah that surprised me too.

  • cjszero he uses his head as a wepon and he puts horseshoes in his gloves. oh yeah and he uses a rope with a glove on it. THIS IS BOXING NOT A STREET FIGHT! Dont you agree with me cjszero?

  • That's an obvious "Duh".

  • cjszero so he made it to #6 on your list eh? whos on your top 5 on your most hated list?

  • you'll have look for it in my playlists.

  • @cjszero01 is it the top 5 enimes i love to hate and the 5 i wish would stay dead?

  • @cobra12ist yes.

  • such a great review, i can't believe i didn't buy this game when i saw it cheap today!

  • ya no one plays multiplayer

  • I loved the original NES version - I don't know why I just had alot of fun playing it.

I saw this at my store and wondered if I should get it or if it would kill the experience I had with the NES.

Watching this showed me how much fun you could possible have with it.

Does it have a high replay? or when you finish - you finish and dont really want to play it much anymore?

  • Only if you really like difficulty, it's one of those addicting because it's hard games but once you learn the pattern it's pretty easy. There's not that much replay value so maybe rent and then buy after the price gets lowered.

  • While I do like this game, it really is a half-assed "remake." 2 revamped SPO characters, 1 new character, and everyone from the original. Title Defense is pretty pathetic. One additional flaw to their pattern and that's it. The challenges are pathetic cause the unlockables are useless. The developers said they filled the game disc all the way and couldn't implement all their wanted features. Really? This game took me less than 4 hours to beat all the way. I really like Punch Out, but....damn

  • I heard the developers want to make a sequel, no Little Mac, change up the gameplay, create your own boss and some other modes. I honestly believe this is a remake and a reboot for those unfamiliar with Punch Out!! As if Brawl wouldn't have given them a hint.

  • I hope so cause this one was so mediocre. The only reason people freaked out over it when it first came out was OH MY GOD NEW PUNCH OUT YAY! It's not a new Punch Out. It's the same old punch out with some new polish. One of the biggest disappointments of 2009 I'd say. Especially since they marketed it at $50...

  • another personal favorite thing I have about this game is the remakes of the theme song that fit each character accordingly. I can't count how many time I died in title defense lol. I've no problem with the patterns that each character has, that's always what i've liked most that no matter how hard someone is all it takes is a little memorization. I definitely wish thy had more modes though. whose the club Nintendo character?

  • @slashzaku15 its Doc Luis (your coach)

  • well he does give useless advice hwne ur doin good, but just cant get the pattern down

  • that french guys said "Oh Zuet!" when you hit it. it means "Oh Damn" but im not sure how to spell zuet :P

  • BTW his name is Aran Ryan in the tags, not aaron Ryan..

  • also what other new characters other than DK and Disco Kid are there?

  • Doc Louis is you joined Club Nintendo. That's it.

  • thanks.

  • i got this one and i love it^^ and it's hard (the title defense fights)

  • Hi there

Awesome review on Punch Out ^^ May think about getting it ^^

    Euan

  • Ya, the gimmics where fun at first though.:)

  • in my opinion I think when anything doesn't make sense it makes it more cool and funny because of the very illogicalness. Nintendo and Sega seems to be the only companies these days that make games that don't follow logic it's just fun.

  • @GamerLink5 You've played Advance Wars then? Or Paper Mario? or even PoKéMoN?

Well yeah, you give ten year old kids command of creatures with the potential to cut a bloody swathe through Krypton with little to no effort and you suffer from a complete lack of logic whatsoever. XD

  • I love this game but I can't beat King Hippo with that blasted manhole cover. and Glass joe was hard while the next 2 fighters were easy. I'm talking about defending my title.

  • 3:44 every one did!O_O

  • No not everyone, that's overgeneralizing.

  • Well my bro did, I did, my couzin did. I didnt literlly mean everyone. btw how does it feel when you become the world champ and then lose glass joe.

  • I really liked Punch-Out! I still haven't beaten it, but it's a lot of fun!

  • I love this game! It was so HARD though.

  • I think I'll stick to the old nes version

  • It pretty much is the original NES version with new visuals.

  • thats what I got from most reviewers so why should I buy something for 50 dollars when I can get it for 5 dollars?

  • Good point, I'd wait for the price to come down then.
