these series are fun to watch but they have so much more potential! I definitely think you should consider looking into different mods and their effects for season 2 (there are SO MANY good ones out there that would really add to the whole experience). The game/series won't be that predictable with a bear suddenly jumping in to your shelter for example.

And to create a more visually pleasing experience I would recommend the "Misa's 64x64 Realistic Texture Pack"!

Not sure if this has been mentioned before, and it kind of depends on whether you film each video separately, and get to read comments in between plays.

I think it would be interesting to have a sort of "penalty" system if you're caught breaking minor rules. If you're caught carrying too many blocks over long distances, commenters could recommend and vote on a penalty, such as halving your inventory slots for one episode.

Just a thought, might give some viewer interaction :)

That is cool that you're outdoor enthusiast and like to go camping with minimal supplies. I too do that, but not on my own. 4-6 of my friends and I will go pick out a forest/mountain sometimes. 2 of them have Mountain survival military training for Iraq I guess so it makes things interesting when we have to start a fire with sticks n' stone. We have tried living off the land, but didn't work out to well lol. Made it for 1 day. 5 people was just to many mouths and snares weren't catching.

Great idea and great fun to watch. I like it "live" without cutting and editing. Feels like I;m there with you. Yes sometimes at night nothing is happening but there is always tension because you never know when something will. Keep it the way it is.

I have watched a lot of your videos, paulsoaresjr, and I am definitely a fan of your Man vs. Minecraft series! It's a really neat idea, and it puts a whole new spin on the game. I hope you end up doing an "I Am Legend"-type series at some point in the future as well; it'd be a challenge, but really fun, too!

There are people on minecraftforum net that could help with making the mod. The playing part would be easy for Rotten194, creator of YouAreTheCreeper mod, while the items like the quiver could be scripted up by Yofreke, the scripter of the e2x2 mod.

I have a really cool IDEA for you PaulsoaresJR why not??? for season 2 make a storyline where its done on an online server? like u spawn with a friend maybe and have a bunch of other friends that act as native people of that land some could be friendly others could be hostile? I think that would REALLY SPICE UP the strory line and add intense on the spot dialogue as well.

I don't think you should cut the footage. It would encourage people becoming suspicious of what you did (like cheating). Plus, I like to watch it, it feels more survival-ish.

I think a problem with the Man vs Minecraft series is that days and nights are to long for this purpose. When dawn breaks, Paul has to much time to fool around while still being able to find a new biome in time. Likewise, at nights way to much time is spent doing nothing but waiting. There has been a night or two with a lot of action, but most nights seem to be spent by mainly waiting. I think shorter day and night cycles would make the challenge harder and more fun.

when u get water from running water u can just drink it because in realife running water is safe to drink but if it is still water u have too go to ur back to ur furnace and then u can actually 'drink' the water just a suggestion

When Notch does the "realism slider" as he called it he should have it so that food doesn't heal you but instead you have a hunger bar that will heal or hurt you over time based on how full it is, so you can't just carry an *** load of pork to survive a zombie attack with no weapons and give various blocks weights that slow you down

Really fun stuff to watch, I like your ideas and rules you have for the while thing. I would like to say that it makes sense to be able to craft in the smaller 4 slot inv., seeing how you do have the tools with you, so you would be able to make some things as you go. Also, as a Role-Player myself, I really enjoy how you do those things, like making a quiver and talking about how the water is cold, etc. I would really like to see more of that in future episodes. Keep on making great vids :)

Paul. One rule you have broken is using the axe to chop leaves. The fastest tool to accomplish this is the sword, thus the proper tool. Otherwise your doing great, keep up the awesome videos man!

Another Idea you might like when you use an add-on is using a fatigue meter. It would drop under the following conditions:

- Travelling (more if you carry to much stuff)

- Swimming

- Mining (more the harder the material)

- Crafting

It would rise when

- Sleeping (crouching more then 30 seconds, more if you are on wool)

- Eating (with respect of the 2 times a day rule)

When exhausted = not able to move.

@azn069 No, he didn't say cut out the entire night, just the long uneventful periods. I'm leaning toward keeping it the way it is for 2 reasons: 1) I want the whole thing recorded, every blunder, slip, fall, etc 2) cutting is a lot of work and I don't relish the idea!

Not only those points you brought up though, but having the entire footage means there are moments for us to relax after some intense action. That way, not ALL of the ep. is just intense action over and over; give us some time to relax to build up the next scare!
