P rayer needs to come from your heart with true meaning. It is NOT supposed to be a forced thing. Pray how you want, NOT in a set way, because then if you pray in a set way everyday at the same time everyday, you lose the heart in your prayers. I still pray, but I don't make it an obligation to pray a certain way everytime, then I would lose the true point of praying in the first place.
We pray for god, not for our selves, and if God commands us to do things then we do it. We incorporate that in to our daily lives just how the prophet did in his life. We emulate his example, and the example of the prophet that came before him, by bowing down, and reciting verses from the Holy scripture. This is a major tenant of our faith. When you are engaged in prayer, it is not a trivial experience, rather you are in the presence of God almighty.
You have no understanding or experience of Salah. When you ask from God, that is not a boring thing, unless you have no sincerity or devotion to God. We only emulate the posture and example given by the messenger of God. By doing so we are fulfilling Gods commandments both by physical demonstration and also by being in a faithful congregation with other Muslims symbolising unity and brotherhood.
How do you pray? By uttering words? by lifting the hands? By prostrating?

To ask from God is NOT the same as prayer (salah), because prayer is a demonstration of devotional worship, it is engaging in the remembrance of God physically with a congregation or on an individual basis. As Muslims we also invoke upon God outside of Salah, like how most other people do by lifting the hands and asking God for anything. Such as forgiveness, success, strength, unity etc...
We don't pray 5 times a day because God needs us to or because he forgets. Praying is only benefiting our selfs as i said before if you pray 5 times a day you will always have a sense of god in your heart and wont sin.

I don't see how praying, in a congregation, with others, in harmony is being selfish. The muazzin (caller) doesn't only call for himself, he calls the community of faithful to prayer. We call this a Jamat (congregation) where Muslims all line up behind the Imam (leader) and perform the prayer. A congregation is an act of reward that is distributed to all the people.

P rayer needs to come from your heart with true meaning. It is NOT supposed to be a forced thing. Pray how you want, NOT in a set way, because then if you pray in a set way everyday at the same time everyday, you lose the heart in your prayers. I still pray, but I don't make it an obligation to pray a certain way everytime, then I would lose the true point of praying in the first place.

We pray for god, not for our selves, and if God commands us to do things then we do it. We incorporate that in to our daily lives just how the prophet did in his life. We emulate his example, and the example of the prophet that came before him, by bowing down, and reciting verses from the Holy scripture. This is a major tenant of our faith. When you are engaged in prayer, it is not a trivial experience, rather you are in the presence of God almighty.

You have no understanding or experience of Salah. When you ask from God, that is not a boring thing, unless you have no sincerity or devotion to God. We only emulate the posture and example given by the messenger of God. By doing so we are fulfilling Gods commandments both by physical demonstration and also by being in a faithful congregation with other Muslims symbolising unity and brotherhood.
How do you pray? By uttering words? by lifting the hands? By prostrating?

To ask from God is NOT the same as prayer (salah), because prayer is a demonstration of devotional worship, it is engaging in the remembrance of God physically with a congregation or on an individual basis. As Muslims we also invoke upon God outside of Salah, like how most other people do by lifting the hands and asking God for anything. Such as forgiveness, success, strength, unity etc...

I don't see how praying, in a congregation, with others, in harmony is being selfish. The muazzin (caller) doesn't only call for himself, he calls the community of faithful to prayer. We call this a Jamat (congregation) where Muslims all line up behind the Imam (leader) and perform the prayer. A congregation is an act of reward that is distributed to all the people.
