Bottom left corner window are drone controls, on the right of that is fleet composition, and on top fleet broadcasts. The minimized windows are mostly chat, etc. In the middle you have capacitor and speed controls as well as modules.
I just started playing EVE so I don't know much about anything, but once the Domi's capacitor got empty, why did he start losing armor and structure so fast compared to you?
@GoH4bsGo I suspect that with such low cap levels, the balance between managing neuts, reppers and hardeners went haywire resulting in his hardeners turning off.
@GoH4bsGo Because the Domi was active tanking and without cap it couldn't rep back up. Active tank usually means you got a lot less armor, so if something happens where you can no longer repair yourself, your armor will vanish. And the DPS of the Mega was also higher than the drone DPS being dished out by the neut domi.

At 2:56 the Dom maxes armor repair and looks like it turns the repair unit off. You don't see an uptick in armor until 4:07, which indicates he forgot to turn it back on.
Obviously the Dom lacked Damage Control, but until that point into the structure the Meg was seriously mismanaging drones and losing lots of dps time to travel instead of pulling the one drone being focused after the Dom set all drones on the ship at 1:47 instead of fighting the other drones.
Why does EVE look so boring, all I saw as... Lasers... wait 5 seconds.... Lasers... Rinse repeat, OMG he finally died..! Seriously, atleast in most games there's a bit of button bashing.

EVE is not the best fast-paced action game you can find, but, while it doesn't seem like it, the loss of such a ship might be critical or even game-killer for you. And thats why EVE, while not action packed, delivers big adrenaline rushes. And its not just guns guns guns...there is MUCH more in the background. Cap managing, drone killing, sensor boosts...
@FriedriceWoW really depends on what you would like i play both i like wow because it is a faster pace rpg (probly the best to that reguard) and is more tenitive, but i like eve for the purpose that you can still get a lot done in the game and still have a life, you don't need a massive group of friends or huge colaberation to get what is high end.

@Jasondeco You may look at videos and think it looks like 2 ships staring at eachother but when your actually playing its really an adrenaline injector for you XD its one of those games where you have to be there to actually feel the fighting going on instead of just watching vids

@ITIMEEE its a buffer tank, all of the buffer is hidden passive modules, a megathron has 4 meds and 7 lows, im not seeing all seven lows used so he is armor tanked
I haven't played this tbh, I'm wrapped up in another space sim, but watching this has convinced me that EVE is good.
I love that you were considering warping out and didn't, I love that you risk everything in a fight, the pace is perfect for the size of ships they seem to be.
I can appreciate how it all comes together to make fights incredibly tense and risky.
The point is that ships blown up in EVE never respawn; it's gone forever. This is equivalent to erasing a character and dropping half of its gear as loot that everyone can pick up, every time a character dies. That's what PvPers call "taking risks."
Because there is a (large) possibility of losing your precious stuff, EVE is actually designed to be slow paced so that you don't lose your stuff by not having a faster twitch. Very similar to most Roguelikes designed as turn based games.
@Raikusxox Because I didn't compaire EVE to WoW. I said that video is as boring to watch as a WoW arena. I love EVE, but it's just not the kind of game you can really show like this. It's fun but for viewing it's just menus and 2 ships. This video is boring. WoW "Arenas" are boring. Those two things are similar, but I didn't compare them in general.

@DeidaraC5 This guy had plates on I think, which just add HP and dont take cap, the other guy had armor repairers which take cap boosters, so I think he capped himself out and ran out of cap charges or something and thats why his armor started going down fast, and this guy's ship probly had better hull hp or the other guy didnt fit a damage control which gives bonus to hull resists. epic fight definately.

Domi shoulda tried to range you once you lost the web. As close as it was a few missed volleys might have won it for him. That and he might have tried for transversal, Wouldn't have been much when he's webbed but blindly driving into your optimal was just wrong.

@mandasity agreed, they both made a few minor mistakes(an awesome fight none the less). Seems the domi had some poor cycling with the neuts that cost him in the end.
M8, You did awesome, I was screaming in my head the first 10 seconds or so for you to get locked on his drones quicker. (its likely 30-40% of the domis dmg output), then when I saw you were getting on the dreons I was screaming, no no, its too far into the fight now, focus fire on him! lol, so riveting!!!

my best fight is still my Rapier versus 2 vexors a prophecy and a merlin = 2 dead cruisers and BC frig ran away and my rapier lives to see another day

This was very entertaining, imho. I enjoyed the surprise ending and wouldve contemplated warping out just as you did. The domi definitely messed up by not managing his cap boosters right. probably had a dual cap booster/dual rep set up with neuts and just got over-excited like alot of us do and ran thru his 800 charges a little too quickly. I really thought you were going to pop at the end. gotta love that gankathron dps..and i liked how you managed the drone dps on you. nice job.

@Adenin25 you clearly are a total idiot. he has a passive tank, commonly used for PVP, if you honestly believe that a BS cant kill another BS solo, you either played eve for a day, or only do PVE. In PVP most battles are over before the repair has a chance to work. so the effective EHP of a passive tank is preferable. and as for damage being to low to solo another BS, that is a "care bear" thing to say. The Megathron, if fit with blasters and antimatter, can get well over 1,000 DPS,.
You DO realize that only idiots use active tanks in PvP, right? While the dom pilot was a bit of a tard for using reppers, he's still a decent pilot for having neuts and drones, the way Dominix's are meant to be used best. Obviously you're just toting yourself up. If you're rally that confident then give the uploader your evename and have your own fight with him.
At 1:50 I'd be scared shitless in my Maelstrom... :P

@DeidaraC5 This guy had plates on I think, which just add HP and dont take cap, the other guy had armor repairers which take cap boosters, so I think he capped himself out and ran out of cap charges or something and thats why his armor started going down fast, and this guy's ship probly had better hull hp or the other guy didnt fit a damage control which gives bonus to hull resists. epic fight definately.

Nice vid mate. I was suprized the domi died, must have ran out of boosters or couldnt drain anymore cap from you to fuel his reppers :) Awsome fight though... I had a simmular fight couple of weeks ago, Only that it was mach (me) vs Bhaal (some dude) Both worth ~2 Bill ISK... i though im gonna have a heart attack it was that intense

you could have actually popped him a lot sooner, your guns kept deactivating i think? if u had overloaded and dps him constantly he would have popped the first time u got him to half armor :P

Domi shoulda tried to range you once you lost the web. As close as it was a few missed volleys might have won it for him. That and he might have tried for transversal, Wouldn't have been much when he's webbed but blindly driving into your optimal was just wrong.

Cool video & I agree Adenin25 is truly a total idiot... Im not saying it is but it looks fake for starters it didnt look like he had point on you + he stopped repping and then let you take him down much faster then befor you started running out of cap. lol damage control saved your ass big time. Something tells me he repaired poorly like when his health jumped back up and stayed up despite your drones hitting him. I think he ran out of cap sooner than planned because of that.. still a good job on your part.

@mandasity agreed, they both made a few minor mistakes(an awesome fight none the less). Seems the domi had some poor cycling with the neuts that cost him in the end.
M8, You did awesome, I was screaming in my head the first 10 seconds or so for you to get locked on his drones quicker. (its likely 30-40% of the domis dmg output), then when I saw you were getting on the dreons I was screaming, no no, its too far into the fight now, focus fire on him! lol, so riveting!!!

Sorry but that was awsome it took some nerv to to stand and fight even at 5% hull now thats how you should play EVE btw amazing choice of ship :) and to all the other posters out there this may be a sht game too you but if you like this stuff then yea good so hush this is more of a stratagey game than a full impact action thriller you have to out wit or out gun :P your opponent

@louddistort These ships are of the battleship class, meaning VERY LARGE, i'd love to see a CARRIER do evasive manouvers haha, true tho manual control of the ships instaid of point and click would be WIN.

This was very entertaining, imho. I enjoyed the surprise ending and wouldve contemplated warping out just as you did. The domi definitely messed up by not managing his cap boosters right. probably had a dual cap booster/dual rep set up with neuts and just got over-excited like alot of us do and ran thru his 800 charges a little too quickly. I really thought you were going to pop at the end. gotta love that gankathron dps..and i liked how you managed the drone dps on you. nice job.

Awesome fight. I thought it was hard to call from the start, so I don't know what some of these other posters are talking about. Well matched fight. Good pilots.
My bet is that the duel repping domi just ran out of the cap booster charges that he relied on. Perhaps he overly used the neuts.

LOL.......funny how it´s possible to get a Battleship down with only one battleship. If the weren´t such noobs its impossible to kill the other one in an 1 against 1 fight.
if you had only one Large Armor repper the dominix never get you down in that structure. Lucky that the dominix let his Armor repper work all the time without getting damage, the biggest noob ever seen LOL

@Adenin25 you clearly are a total idiot. he has a passive tank, commonly used for PVP, if you honestly believe that a BS cant kill another BS solo, you either played eve for a day, or only do PVE. In PVP most battles are over before the repair has a chance to work. so the effective EHP of a passive tank is preferable. and as for damage being to low to solo another BS, that is a "care bear" thing to say. The Megathron, if fit with blasters and antimatter, can get well over 1,000 DPS,.

You DO realize that only idiots use active tanks in PvP, right? While the dom pilot was a bit of a tard for using reppers, he's still a decent pilot for having neuts and drones, the way Dominix's are meant to be used best. Obviously you're just toting yourself up. If you're rally that confident then give the uploader your evename and have your own fight with him.
