Thanks man. Cleveland has and does have it's share of problems mostly political. Grew up in West Park 3rd generation Clevelanders. I had the valley and fantastic neighbors can't think of a better place to grow up. I have stayed and run 2 businesses and will keep them here. Cleveland is the kind of place where the friends you had in grade school are still friends for life. A GREAT PLACE. AND THE GOLFING facilities and pricing is one of the best kept secrets around!!

I live in Cleveland and I think it's great. I have a fabulous house in a great neighborhood that's close to everything, and my mortgage is close to what I would pay in rent, which also is very affordable. There are TONS of great restaurants, night clubs and shopping. Of course, none of what I would consider great is in this video.. which is kind of cheesy. OK one last comment on this.. I love the fast motion shots they do in this video that only show a shitload of cars whizzing by.. I think they were going for that sort of shot they show in cities like Tokyo where you see torrents of people crossing busy intersections to show how 'lively' the city is. Partly because of our mayor, and partly because cleveland has no idea what to do with it's land! this is the only city where I have ever seen CMHA housing (government housing) directly looking over the lake, if they were smart, they'd be building condos and restaurants looking over the lake! Or rebuilding the flats, but that's another story all together!
There are plans for this. Most people in Cleveland have no clue for what is in store in the future for this place. Look at the city website and see the plans. Some have already started. People here are generally very ignorant about their own city. Quit blaming the Mayor, etc..get out and help make a difference. It is not always going to be done for us.

Trust me, Cleveland/NE Ohio SUCKS in so many ways! I've lived in many states, and i'm dying to get the hell out of here too. And it is NOT 'the birthplace of rock & roll'! The weather here is a cruel JOKE, the economy in shambles, check cashing places popping up everywhere, including nice neighborhoods, foreclosures galore, and it was just in the news yesterday that Cuyahoga County is one of the top areas in the U.S. LOSING people... they are moving away in droves! Most every major city has lost population within its proper. In general, Ohio does not suck, many of the people do. I suggest you visit some of the great nature sanctuaries and see a part of it you may not even be aware of. The biggest problem in Ohio is the lack of self esteem and civic pride that sends a lot of it into a downward spiral. Get out and try to help make a difference instead of being a part of the be all end all "run to Chicago" Guess what? They have 'lost population' as well.
I drove thru Cleveland on I-90 while I was driving across the Country from Massachusetts to Los Angeles. It had a very "the Land that time has forgotten" look to it. I wish I stopped and did some sight seeing. Maybe I'll move there if and when I finish College.

Man you guys are like parasites below me, but I guess life is what you make of it.
I've always appreciated what this city gives me, and I have been to many major cities in the world. Most of my time gets spent in Ohio City, Tremont, downtown, and Little Italy and I love it.

Trust me, Cleveland/NE Ohio SUCKS in so many ways! I've lived in many states, and i'm dying to get the hell out of here too. And it is NOT 'the birthplace of rock & roll'! The weather here is a cruel JOKE, the economy in shambles, check cashing places popping up everywhere, including nice neighborhoods, foreclosures galore, and it was just in the news yesterday that Cuyahoga County is one of the top areas in the U.S. LOSING people... they are moving away in droves! Stay away folks!

Most every major city has lost population within its proper. In general, Ohio does not suck, many of the people do. I suggest you visit some of the great nature sanctuaries and see a part of it you may not even be aware of. The biggest problem in Ohio is the lack of self esteem and civic pride that sends a lot of it into a downward spiral. Get out and try to help make a difference instead of being a part of the be all end all "run to Chicago" Guess what? They have 'lost population' as well.

I drove thru Cleveland on I-90 while I was driving across the Country from Massachusetts to Los Angeles. It had a very "the Land that time has forgotten" look to it. I wish I stopped and did some sight seeing. Maybe I'll move there if and when I finish College.

ha! Good luck! Once you move here. Your stuck here. The city will milk you dry of everything you got. And after 5 years you'll end up like the thousands of homeless people living in burned and boarded up houses, bus shelters, and underneath the Browns Stadium. They forgot to show that one. To want to move from wherever you live now and come to Cleveland, you'd either have to be young and dumb or just poor. Move here when you get out of college, good luck finding a job.
