  • 6:14 THAT IS CORRECT!

  • would you recomend a frag to a begginer and will a banded trochus snail eat hair algae like a turbo

  • hey A, if its a beginners fish-only system I would say no, if its a beginners coral reef tank coral frags are definately a good choice, just be aware not all corals and frags are as hardy as others. ask the seller for guidence.

  • Do you know where he got those moving light racks?

  • hey S, i dont, but if you go to Wet Thumb Frags DOT net and ask for Danny he will tell you.

  • @squirrelkiller247 Try any hydroponics supply store, that's more so what those light movers are meant for anyways.

  • Hey Jim,

do you plan on going back, or doing another video of a Coral Frag Farmer? maybe an update or tour of a different facility?

it sure is neat to see sustainable reefing. (maybe a little more detailed in the equipment department.

looks good, and keep moving forward.

  • hey J, no plans at this time to do so.

  • @lafishguy Is he eventually saying, that 10.000 K bulbs, are best for farming?

Higher K lets say 12.000-20.000 K is better for colours...

  • hey I, i do not know the answer. why not telephone Danny at Wet Thumb Frags direct and ask him these questions?

  • wich is easier to or cheaper to maintain fresh water or saltwater tanks

  • come now M, that should be obvious. at the least SW will require the addition of the saltmix, and considering you have to measure that salt level you would need a hydrometer. just being SW its more expensive and more involved than FW.

  • do you service any freshwater aquariums

  • hey M, i have one left, and I really try not to do FW. it just doesnt hold my interest.

  • Drooling myself...wish i had space for half of this...

  • Hey i love your videos. their extremely interesting. If you dont mind answering a couple of questions for me what kind of filter and lighting system would you recomend using for a 29 gallon tank and intending to put corals into it as well? i would a ppreciate a response. thanks :)

  • hey B, i dont think I can be much help to you. I was always taught not to try SW in less than 55/60 gallons as too small a tank just has no volume and without any volume it has no stability.

  • @BlazinNitro16 hey, I have had a 12 gal. nano cube with great success, the draw back is your looking at 1-2 fish tops unless your planning to sump the tank. which isnt that hard and doesnt require fancy lights and macro like this vids. its mainly to increase water volume. i did it with a rubbermaid tub and a pump from homedepot lol. and alot of these small tanks come with lights, which can grow coral but mainly leathers, which wasnt enough for me, so i bought a viper clamp HQI 70w. and grew sps.

  • hey jim big fan! .. quick question would it be ok to put a refugium sump tank for a fresh water main tank? just want to know your opinion thanks=)

  • hey D, i have not heard of using a refugium for FW. i would think it would have a benifit.

  • sir how do you made those moving fixture? im interested on making one for my reef so instead of using 2 150watts you mean i can make it move and use only 1 150watts of halide? hope you can reply to me sir.

  • hey J, by moving the light back and forth it exposes the coral to light on both sides and does decrease the number of bulbs needed.

  • hi i have a clown trigger he seems happy but some times his black on his body turns grey and then it changes back to black is it something i have to worrie about or is it just normal thatnks.

  • hey T, he is expressing his emotions. pale is usually stressed or scared.

  • hello I like your videos I'd like that if you put this video in Spanish and I want to keep corals and therefore brings information about light there if you can please upload it subtitled or dubbed in Spanish will thank you and let me congratulate you for that very real you know all about the marine aquarium I leave my account to be able to talk on the subject ... thanks

  • hello C, gracias, mui poquito hable espanol :)

  • hey C, consider contacting Wet Thumb Frags directly, Danny speaks spanish.

  • is this what this guy does for a living, i mean does he make a reasonably good amount of money from it?

  • hey D, you will have to ask him.

  • @lafishguy how do i ask him?

  • hey D, have you heard of a telephone? gezzzz.

  • @lafishguy well i thought he had like a youtube or email er somthin

  • come on D get smart. you are asking him about his business financial situation. do you really think he wants to divulge that info through YouTube? look up his web site, dial his #, ask for Dan, introduce yourself and ask him your questions.

  • @lafishguy ok man, ill do that dude. i live in a closet by the way lol

  • something tells me Dan has a few pot plants laying around

  • @Nugburner420 Nothing in these videos tells you that... Your username is another matter. Don't be slandering legitamate businesses.

  • @GroinStabbingPro cry me a river. its a free country !go f yourself you conservative cu nt

  • @Nugburner420 What does nationality have to do with it. I'm not conservative, or republican or any other political slander you can come up with. I don't even live in the same country as you.

  • that guy has to be close to being a millionaire! some of those frags go for over $100...

  • Well done Jim, this is a very informative episode, learning heaps from your show..keep it up!

  • Jim,

Love these videos on Wet Thumb Frags.

They are a great store to get frags from.

You video are so good !!

    Alex from Amsterdam .

  • hey G (A), thank you :)

  • Sorry to keep buggin you with comments but your shows are so informative and entertaining... Keep it up!

  • hey jim

i just want ask something, what can i do for to do grow up purple coralline algae in my aquarium?

and sorry for my bad english i am from mexico and i never take any class of english but a i can understand ..lol :)

  • hey P, the use of Strontium will encourage calcerous algae growth... but be careful with what you wish for as once it starts it can get out of control.

  • Would a UV sterilizer do anything to control algae growth?

  • hey M, it would help decrease the spread but its most likely NOT the solution to an algae problem.

  • where can i find information about those electric rails he's got im sure it will help cut my electrical bill as well also great video and a lot of helpful information

    thank's jim

  • hey jim, what happend to all of your other videos?

  • hey C, take a look at episode #61

  • Hey Jim,

Just wondering do you run a refugium on any of your tanks and if you don't how do you keep the nitrates and phosphates down? Great videos btw.

  • hey J, no i dont use refugiums... and i dont really do anything for NO3 or PO4.

  • Im sure his electric bill is very high. Chillers/halides/pumps/tracks. Lots of money!!! All in all very cool system. But im sure in return he pulls a nice profit from his farm..

  • I think I heard Jim say in a video or comment his E bill was around 500...

  • Actually I was told it was more around $1000!

  • Hey Jim,

Did you redo these videos? I feel like they are the same as what I saw a month or two back? Still awesome and informative either way! :)

  • hey L, the music that needed to be changed has. note the new closing theme. the video itself remains the same.

  • i wish i had saltwater fish..=(

  • New subscriber, very nice videos so far. =)
