Crazy 16hp Go Kart 3

Great kart. Only thing is these oppy's are made for torque (bottom end power) rather then horse-power (top end, higher revs) so you won't get that much speed out of them. You could actually gear it alot higher and still have decent take off cause of the fact these are torque monster motors

@Allsongshere~ You will hav to mod the motor cuz lawnmowers use vertical drive shaft to powr the mower. Go karts need horizontal shaft.I used a snowblower motor for my kart. they work right. You may not even be able to make a lawnmowe wrk.(P.S I'm only 13 but don't let that discourage u from my advice[Ive been taught well]Hope this helps

I have this motor in a lifted golf cart and I LOVE it. I did some head and valve work, replaced the carb with a lawnmower carb from a 18hp (mines a 16) and it will pull the front wheels up with out trying.

hey, could you tell me where u got your clutch? I been looking for a good one and i do not have the money to go for a torque converter and i dont want to get a cheap centrifugal clutch that cant handle 18 horses lol. so it would be immensely helpful if you could tell me.

how does that clutch do for you. im stuck between a centrifugal clutch or a torque converter. i have a 20-28hp(not sure on the motor yet. dad picked it up) vtwin like yours.

also how fast does it go?
