Then the wife got mad at her kid for not eating his chicken nuggets. Idiots are everywhere!

I had a similar experience like that the other day on the Outerbanks of North Carolina. My girlfriend and I were visiting Bodie Lighthouse and we were using the restroom. I was waiting my turn when this younger girl came out of the stall and was trying to wash her hands. Her mother had finished and I could see out of the side of my eye the mother staring at me. The girl was trying to dry her hands and her mom said drip dry. As they left I heard the mom say, that was a lesbian! I have short hair.
my sister and i have actually had situations where people thought we were gay because we hold hands a lot in big cities just because we're both kind of uncomfortable with all the people (growing up in a very small town, we're not used to it at all) and we amp it up even more when we can hear people talking about their disapproval of lesbianism. that shit really bothers me. i don't blame you for reacting how you did. no beatings plz.
