Really love this piece. A lot of effort and feelings poured into it here. Wish there were more of these types of musicians nowdays instead of the mainstreams. Then again, one wouldn´t learn to appreciate these moments as much if that was the case.

often i hear summertime as a samba groove or plain jazz ,,,funk

Ah--yes, one of my favs--as a guitarist & vocalist ( primarily Blues ) this tune has limitless areas to stretch out into musically & vocally. You my friend have reached into those areas.
