  • Superbe chanson, que des souvenirs.

  • I was born 1990 but I should have been born 1962

  • Boys Clubs 1976 riding on the Bus listening on Q105 at 10 years old what a great song. Most people got this song from "Slap Shot" but this song was a year old when it hit again in 1977.

  • I HEARD THIS ON "YOURS, MINE & OURS!"

  • Oh my gosh, it was on An Extremely Goofy Movie. Hilarious. No wonder my six year old kept watching that movie over and over. Great music.

  • great movie, great song from that era!

  • thumbs up if slapshot brought you here : D

  • @ovechkin100 Wife Swap for me champ ha

  • @siyo99 wife swap ? whats that ?

  • @siyo99 Its where 2 familys swap wives/mothers for 2 weeks. Each wife in there new house has to live 1 week under the house rules. And for the 2nd week she applys her own rules. It does be great, arguements an all....funny. But when they re-unite after the 2 weeks this tune plays and its banging :) Whats Slapshot ?

  • Thumbs up if you think SHE IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!

  • @CaneFu I totally agree man!!!

  • Every time I hear this I want to get up and Dance

  • My favorite song growing up in the 70's - I still love it.

  • I was born in 73 and to me this song IS the 70's..

  • That's so bloody beautiful I got tears in me eyes.

  • LOVE IT!

  • This song was EVERYWHERE in 1976, but I never knew what she looked like. She was pretty.

  • WHY ohhh WHY is it that we DO NOT hear this wonderful music no more on today's radio stations? now days it's only shity music without rythm, insipid and most of all very annoying noise.

  • singing this ALL the time

  • What a talent!

  • Now THIS is music !!!

  • i met her in a club in san antonio she was a really nice lady paid attention to every person getting her autograph

  • I first heard this song on " An Extremely Goofy Movie" during the ending credits. Of course it was done by the group "Cleopatra".

  • my mother made me disco dance to this on a K-tell 33 in our living room when it was a hit, thanks mom!!!

  • Class Tune :)

  • I remember when the last shrek movie came out during the summer me and my ex girlfriend went to see it and this played at the end during the credits. I remember we danced to it as people were leaving. Hahaha oh How I miss her. This makes me smile though, I remember that day well.

  • Wow, she was fine back then!

  • I wish sistas would still wear uptight naturals like that! They are sooo hot!

    ;-)

  • 3 people never got back where they started

  • I love it how these "DIVAS" of the 70's are re-singing their Hits and sounding and looking even better! Check out "Freda Payne" and "Thelma Houston" on the PBS specials! They "burn" up the screen with HOT sex appeal!! You go Girls!!

  • I am over 50 now and I still get a huge kick from the music of my gen,

  • GOOD OLD DAYS

  • I really love this song

  • I FOUND THE SONG! I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS SONG FOR MONTHS AND I FOUND IT HAHAHAHAHA!

  • I'll dedicate this to CD. It's been three years but every time I hear this I think of you. *Kiss*.

  • Apparently she HATED this song because "it was too pop". Jeanie C Riley didn't like her big hit record "Harper Valley PTA" for the same reason, which is (to me, anyway) bizarre reasoning. It's kind of like saying "I wanted to be popular, but not have a million-selling record".

  • slap shot

  • Guess this must've been the times when singers actually SANG and didn't auto-tune like most of the crappy artists of today.

  • It's impossible to hear this and NOT get it stuck in your head!

  • I echo others who have heard this song our entire life but had never seen Maxine.

  • Great song from an absolutely beautiful woman. Stunning beauty. Thank you for letting us view it.

  • @tigerstripe56 Definitivamente bella y adorable con esta canción.

  • Ya slapshot and Bad News Bears - when they played at the Astrodome "Breaking Camp"? I think. Ya but played laot in Slapshot! BEST MOVIE EVER!!!!

  • I remember this song from the movie SLAP SHOT in the 1970s. This song is classic. It so fitting for the Disco Era!!!

  • beutuful song

me traen muchos recuerdos de mi adolescencia

  • A song that gives you that warm fuzzy feeling...a masterpiece!

  • I was 8 years old in '76 and this is my first time seeing her image. She sure is a beauty. : )

  • Happy days from yesteryear I was boy, 14, whistling this tune, playing golf. Yes good days, still a old favourite. Those days we have long summers, lots of butterflies, bees, everything today is destroyed. Forget this generation music, lets all go back in time. From a 49 year old in Yorkshire.

  • This is pure gold. A classic, a timeless masterpiece. It's great to see her performing it. Thank you.

  • WHAT ARE YOU DOING "MAKIN IT LOOK MEAN"

  • the Hansons lol

  • back to when musicans could sing and preform

  • never forget this one! A hit with me the first time I heard it at age 15. Takes me back in time. Love it!

  • I first heard this song when i was about to graduate High school in Lodi Calif June 2, 1976...listened to it on the bus ride to our graduation practice field 3 days before actual graduation day and this song is cemented in my mind forever then...now I'm a hopeless single and this song still reverberates and enjoy it now...I really miss my young/youthful innocent days.

  • @pgs5719 I understand everything you said! Songs like this are in the "soundtrack of our youth" and listening to them really takes us back to a happy time! I also miss my youth and will forever be "youthful" in my head and when I hear great songs like this!

  • slap shot great movie , great song

  • is this consider soul or disco?

  • @Vietnameze4Life

    It's a Soul - Pop song a la 60's Motown

  • i was fifteen when that song came out... i got chills each time i listen to that recognizable rhythm !

    First time though i see the lady's face, she's beyond what i expected : she's gorgeous !

thank you very much for the video

  • good but short

  • Great live !

  • HOT

  • SOUNDTRACK -For Yours Mines & OURS! Movie!!

  • This track was the music from a film called Slapshot about a crap ice hokey team who end up winning the championship - trust me if you get the chance to see the film grab it, it is the funniest film ever made !!!

  • The song was a hit before Slapshot was made. It was included in the soundtrack along with several other mid-70s songs.

  • @2016or6 - This song was the perfect one as a backdrop for the ending credits for Slapshot, still one of the great sports theme movies ever made. Long live the Hanson Brothers, Dr. Hook McCracken, and of course Reg Dunlop. Old time hockey!

  • sportsoracle: I agree. Slaphot is one of my all-time favorites. I purchased a copy on ebay, but it turned out to be the "cable version", and "Right Back" was not included in the soundtrack of this version. I am still looking for the original.

  • @DEATHWATCH3446 i bought it on amazon for 10.00 bucks well worth it

  • @DEATHWATCH3446 I actually was just watching Slap Shot and I had to come on here to hear it again. Such a good movie, one of my favorite Paul Newman films that for sure. I now need to find a place that sells Chiefs jerseys.

  • @DEATHWATCH3446 you're not wrong about that!

  • @DEATHWATCH3446 I can still see the booster club bus pulling up alongside the Chiefs bus and honking the horn while this song is playing. This is a great song.

  • @DEATHWATCH3446 Amen to that. Slapshot is a cult classic in Canada

  • @DEATHWATCH3446 I got Slapshot at Target for $5. Tragic how masterpieces are cheap now and worse movies now are out for $10+.

  • Pretty song and a great smile & performance love however, you already knew that,Ha!!!

  • Great song, thanks for posting!

  • Great sound from the '70s

  • love this woman

  • nope!

    i saw her first!!

  • Timeless song. So damn good...

  • Thank god for the UK for reminding us Americans that soul was cool.

  • This is just so full of hooks! And what a great voice!

  • This Song Rose to #2 in the US Billboard 100 in 1976. Has it been really 34 Years ? I want to go back to the 70's.

  • check out maxine singing love hit me by the same writer j vincent edwards she is fantastic love and peace

  • Love you Maxine!

  • awsome song makes me think of good times

  • Awesome, thanks so much for posting, been waiting for yonks to see the original video from the 70's :-)

  • she always brings a smile on my face

  • me too!!! =)

  • I battled the d.j.s at a Dallas night club for years;because they made excuses the song was too fast to blend or they just didnt' want to play it.

Several times I got it played in the Dallas clubs & the crowds loved it.

KLUV has played it for several years; but 88.5 KEOM Mesquite Schools radio has always played it.

Hats off to Big Jim and the late Sweet Loretta for playing this on 70's Saturday nights.

Right Back Where We Started From will always be a big part of Texas pop culture.

  • is this popor rockn rool

  • Great song and must say songs/videos of the 1970's and 1980's were so awesome before condescending rap/hip hop songs becoming the idiotic norm today which more than half the youth today speak such condescending language which shackles most minorities today.

  • @pgs5719

    Ain't that the truth

  • Impossible to sit still and not sing along

  • @cerealkillaman That's so true!
