I had the maritime spring cups on my Glock 19 but I replaced them after one of the fins broke off during normal range use.
you do know that you can destroy your pin and spring without mariner cups and water in the pin cavity right? keeping energy is only part of there usefulness. and the "fin" broke because they arent as durable as standard cups. the notch literally leaves them structurally weaker... safety and a busted firing pin are two different things.

no gun is designed to fire with water filling the barrel. Water, being a fluid, does not compress and that means it will cause the bullet to hit water and the cartridge to redirect back against the barrel and the extractor/slide. The underwater conversion allows the barrel to vent excess pressure and thus save the gun and your hand/ face from a retarded accident. and yes, you can blow up a glock too.

Totaly submerged, modern pistols could withstand few dozen or about hundred underwater rounds, and that's about whole underwater shooting pistol lifetime.
btw, avarege range for a bullet fired from totaly submerged gun is about 10 - 15 meters.
After that it comes to a dead stop and falls to the bottom...
Logicly, due to the water which is 9x thicker then air.

It absolutely did jam. I think a few on here don't understand the meaning of a "jam".
It, by no means, implies that the gun will not function at all afterwards.
An FTF(Failure To Feed) is always considered a jam.
An FTE(Failure To Eject) is also considered a jam.
He said "it didn't come out". That is an FTE.
Firing any gun underwater will never save your life bud. The round will travel about 3ft, and can't even penetrate clothing.
I guarantee a Kimber can fire underwater repeatedly.

The gun didnt jam, jamming is when it WONT fire at all.
He shot it 3 times and it still fired, he had to manually pull back the slide to eject the round, but it STILL fire afterwards.
THATS the difference between a glock and other guns.
And NOT every gun can do that..
That 1 or 2 shots can be the difference between life or death.
Try shooting a $1500 kimber or S&W underwater, you wont only have a jam, you'll have a non-functioning gun.

Hey Glocks are such peaces of crap they will function under any condition and feed any type of ammo. They are known for being the least jamming automatic pistol on the market. If you need a gun to save your life trust a Glock.
