  • Concert snare drumming is all about sound quality. Playing traditional grip hinders having a more balanced sound from stick to stick. A match grip would be more ideal.

  • Concert snetting... :D

  • this guy is actually pretty good, surprising for expert village

  • This dude was in the movie DRUMLINE! In the film, this actor is the only caucasion member of a drumline at a southern all black college.

  • @pjsacristan73 are you serious? really???

  • Yup, that marching snare is tuned good enough for a video recording /sarcasm

  • raw marching snare

  • DONT LISTEN TO HIM he is doing the concert buzz roll 100% wrong!! get a teacher!!!!!!

  • Gigantic drum sticks.

  • hahahahaha the fact that they wouldn't redo the video after him saying snetting shows that there unprofessional....nice job. Expert Village my dick.

take some drum lessons and your traditional buzz rolls sound like ass!

  • the marching drum sounds like it has a plastic head. lol

  • @bubblz1414 it has to do mainly with the fact that he is using SD1 Generals on a marching snare instead of using marching sticks like Promark DC-17's or DC-51's

  • @guitarhero7946 those look like Thom Hannum Piccolo's, they're for marching and they have a tiny tip like the SD1 or SD2, but they have a steep taper and a larger shaft.

  • lolz concert snetting

  • he sucks

  • terribles palitos...son como 10 a jaja

  • concert snetting :L:L

  • fail

  • haha :D

what he is saying with this is "if the drum doesnt sound like you hoped, then compensate by playing another way" WELL THANKS! VERY HELPFUL!

  • Haha '30 second note'... brilliant subtitles...

  • jagenp0890, i really hope you are not serious. This guy almost makes a valid point about the concert snare buzzes as opposed to marching snare buzzes...however you should not be playing traditional on a concert snare drum. period. ever.

  • Nah, go slower on marching Snares. if you push your rolls it will sounds like your drumming on a thick piece of plastic, and it'll be really hollow. watch the beginning of drumline where the line is doing the roll after training

  • I guess they're technically called double stroke rolls :P

  • @ Jagen

Well for one, he is playing buzz rolls, not diddles. He also wasn't playing through the head of the drum or using correct zones, so you won't hear the snares too well. So thats probably why it sounds like a piece of plastic.

  • That's what im 'sayin, sounds like crap.

  • u have a cold?

  • @lordkaka28 yes
