he has the 5.0 gauges in there guys. he said hes getting the 5.0 swap in a week. the 2.3l mustang gauges only go up to 85mph

@halflife103 It hit 190km/h actually before the engine rev'ed out... course it was going down a hill (have GPS and 2 buddies who can say it did hit 190) but hese engines are bullet proof if takin care of. BC winters are rain, rain and more rain, throw 2 sand bags in the back or a sub box and you'll be fine.

@DashingDomin8r any fox up until 88 had 85 mph gauges 2.3L or 5.0L . 89 was the first year for 140mph speedos and his goes to 150 or 160 its a canadian fox in km/h.

terminal velocity has to do with wind resistance. which has nothing to do with weight of the vehicle. so weight has nothing to do with top speed. having 4 people in your car would only make reaching top speed take longer, not change it.

i have the same stang, but its standard. my highest speed ever was 145 km/h and i had 2 passengers, 2 allen blocks (for winter traction) and i was going downhill, lol. dont waste ur time with a new tranny

With the auto its not revving to its peak power. The 2.3L peak power is at about 5500RPM.

Sorry... Bullshit. The redline is at 5500RPM, the rev limiter comes in at 6250RPM. I shift past 5500 all the time, doesn't hurt it; thats where I feel the most power.

i had a 1982 2.3 mustang with the 2.3 svo engine i got it to go 0-60 in 5.8 sec. lot of work getting it there though. very worth it. sold it after it got to 267,000 miles

see the thing you have to take into consideration is that for 1 whoever out this video on here cant drive for 2 puttin a ranger cam in a car is not going to get you a whole lot of power even though it is roller its stock lift for 3 its an automatic for 4 he cant dive did i already say that bigger cams get you power lighter rod lighter crank mill the head bigger and stickier rear tires spen the money in right places dont blow it on crap that wont get you know where
