  • GRR MY FIRST THOUGHT WHEN I SAW THIS WAS "DAMN IT DOCTOR, HOW CAN YOU BE SO FRIGGIN HEARTLESS?!" then when Jack was talking to Martha about his whole landing in 1869 and getting stuck there I thought "HE WAITS LIKE 200 YEARS FOR YOU AND YOU TREAT HIM LIKE GARBAGE WTF?!" then the Doctor explained his actions and I was like "....oh...still...you could have said somethiiiing..."

  • I think the opening sequence of the Utopia episode should have had Jack clinging on to the TARDIS, screaming his face off, and when it changes directions, his voice goes slow-mo xD

  • Guen: 'what did you see...?'

Jack: 'I saw the doctor stupid, coz im gay??? ' hehe love jack :') (wish he'd sed this though...

  • does anyone know if this is a really torchwood epi, or a doctor who epi ?

  • @DylanDe117 It's both. It's the last episode of Torchwood season one and the story continues in Doctor Who episode titled "Utopia".

  • @DylanDe117 both actually

  • non c'è niente di più stupendo di jack!!!!!!

  • what episode is this from

  • @brandonnesfan Torchwood: End of Days (s1e13) an Doctor Who: Utopia (s29/3e11)

  • They should have show Jack holding onto the Tardis during the intro.

  • 2:05 , "DOCTOOOOOOOOOR! My show's way to dark, depressing and takes itself too seriesly. LET ME BACK ON YOUR SHOOOOOOOW!"

  • @simpsonman956 "You chose a very bad time! It's the season finalie, and things are going to get very dark, very very dark, by the end of it!"

  • lol the doctors a troll

  • 3:27 where did he go?

  • I still think that if they ever do an anniversary edition, they need to CGI captain jack into the intro.

  • This is pretty good, except for some cutting issues and music cuts.

  • @redmir5 No he meant a gay/bi doctor, one who would love him back.

  • he is back and it is good to see him.

  • what's that building at 1:26 ?

  • @pennypyro42 This is the Wales Millenium Center :D

    It's a museum.

  • he lost it in a sycorax fight right above cardiff so it dropped down to the cardiff centre but he was still regenerating so he could grow it back at the end of this episode. he takes the hand from jack and the hand energy was able to stop him from regenerating into matt smith until the end of time. when the hand grew a body and became a clone of the doctor but with a bit of donnas personality. sorry about the writing i know alot about doctor who

  • Okay, so which was first? Because everything in Torchwood alludes to the TARDIS appearing inside Torchwood 3 but that obviously didn't happen. Also, how many incarnations of Jack were in Great Britan at times? I counted at least three in Boom Town.

  • @KnightRyder1623 Would sort of screw up what they were going for, wouldn't it? The way the two storylines converged--Remember the two episodes aired months apart and there were ten DW episodes between them.

  • I only actually appreciate this scene now because of how long Jack waited.

  • @166291 Same. I had never seen Torchwood when I first saw Utopia.

  • v nicely done :). i think jack is the only one out of who can properly pull of being in torchwood and dr who.

  • @anniefanukuk Freema also did it.

  • ahh when torchwood was good

  • So... was this sequence actually in a Torchwood episode? It would explain a lot.

  • Comment removed

  • tardis rape!

  • 2 people like abadon

  • WHEN I SAW JACK I WAS LIKE yessssssssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Nice cutting... the mood is slightly different between the two shows, but apart from that it's a perfect mix! I especially love Jack clinging to the outside of the TARDIS in this, So Cool!

  • ausome!!!!!!! i've always wanted to see those 2 shows sewn together the right way!

  • Explanation of The Doctor's Hand:

In 2008-2009 (I'm not sure), The Doctor had a battle with the Sycorax and he lost his hand. Then Torchwood found it and kept it. And The Master found it and kept it until the end of time. Once that's over, The Doctor kept the hand until Journey's End and that's when the hand was useful.

  • @TheMinecraftDan 2005, first full episode.

  • DOCTOOOOOOOOOORRRRRR! John's face is epic XD

  • The episode "The Doctors Wife" now shows everything in a new slant.

  • That guy is mental. No one has ever touched the untempered Schism and lived. Though he did die :D

  • @lolliepop90 Jack is immortal

  • @Mupkinsful *10th Doctor impression* Well...technically Jack did die but then came back to life. Sry troll moment.

  • @redmir5 Jack found the hand after the Christmas Invasion. Jack took the hand with him when he joined the Doctor again in Utopia and left it on board the TARDIS when he went back to Torchwood. (Even though the Doctor didn't actually completely regenerate at this point) the hand later absorbed regeneration energy and grew into a second (David Tennant) Doctor, who now lives in a parallel universe with Rose Tyler.

  • wow! so this isn't from the same episode? I'm impressed!

  • Jeez! Jack is one tenacious dude! I just love, love, LOVE his smile as he realized that the doctor was near!

  • wow great video and good editing you cant even tell that the clips are from different shows

  • I love how the Doctor saw Jack coming and was like "Oh no! not him...! I'm so out of here!"

  • wow, from half holy leader to bumbling clown. I suppose that would answer the question of why the doctor never shows up in Torchwood.

  • Why the people are just walking around and injoring the crazy guy yelling "DOC-TOR!"

  • @Markel1970A

and the reappearing then disappearing little blue box, you'd think at least one person would notice

  • @Alorahbeth Yeah, I know. Maybe they're thinking "He's an American." LOL

  • @redmir5 More like a doctor who would know him and would fit with his timeline he cant say im gonna meet you in the futre to1-8 and 9 left him so 10 is the right one

  • im dr owen harper, and my boss is having 1 hell of a day xx

  • Why did the Doctor try to avoid Jack?

  • @revolutionhk The Doctor saw Jack as an abomination, something that shouldn't happen. He said he felt wrong just looking at him and he wanted to avoid complicating things by taking him along.

  • @sanderf90 So the Doctor knew Jack will be immortal once Rose brought him back to life?

  • @revolutionhk He had a feeling it would be that way.

  • I'd do the same thing 8D !

  • he had to wait for a doctor that knows what happened on satelite 5

  • DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOCTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOR

  • Good thing that Captain Jack is immortal else he'd be dust by now...

  • i am trying very hard from keeping myself from rolling my eyes...

  • this would have been a better start to utopia

  • 2:06 I love how he sees Jack running, and immediately launches the Tardis. Purposely leaving him behind.

And the next scene he's all "Oh, yeah...that's Jack, he must have clung to the Tardis"

    No biggie.

  • Hmm... I wonder what would happen if Jack were to suddenly lose his grip on the TARDIS and fall into the time vortex?

  • @redmir5 Nooo, He means Batman.

  • what ep is this from?

  • @islash09 Utopia.

  • Has to be one of the best doctor/captain jack moments with the doctor launching at the sight of jack and then jack clinging to the outside of the TARDIS

  • What episode of Doctor Who was this one called?

  • @Dazzler258 utopia- it says it int the title seqence and the description

  • @BowTiesareCool12 Cheers mate :)

  • @Dazzler258 XD

  • I wonder what the people were thinking when they saw a WWII captain wearing a backpack running at full speed towards a police box screaming "DOCTOOOOOOOOOOOOR!!!!!!!"

  • @TearsofWolves Probably that he needed a good Psychiatric one.

  • very nice, joins the two series perfectly.

  • DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOCTOR!!!! LOL

  • legend

  • I find it interesting how when The Doctor says "I was a different man back then" and he is obviously refering to his Christopher Eccleston regeneration, he touches his ear. Christopher was quite well know for his large ears. LOL.

  • go to 3:26 lol

  • Don't worry guys 'n' gals i let him into the TARDIS :)

  • Haha Ten was trying to leave him, so rude! And I love that the Torchwood theme is playing as Jack's running to the TARDIS.

  • lol i love how it fades from jack being in the vortex to being the intro

  • "DOOOOOOOCTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOR!!!!!!!"

    I love it!!!! xD <3

  • Face of Boe...

  • the doctors kinda being a jerk in utopia he saw jack running towards him and he took off anyway...

  • Which Torchwood episode is that? Or, even better, did they go into that at all in the next episode? (I don't watch Torchwood much, but I do like it. It's like they made a kiddies' spin-off of Doctor Who (Sarah Jane Adventures) and an adult spin-off, with Doctor Who in the middle somewhere)

  • i thought the master had the doctors hand

  • @CoffeeDeer he does, but Jack had it first.

  • OMFG guys i remember this torchwood finale the very first time i watched i got THE BIGGEST SPINE CHILL EVER i mean hand glowing yadda yadda ohh that's nice but when i heard that tinkling of the tardis.... omfg such an epic moment. brrrrr spine chill just thinking about it :D

  • man i didnt know jack could run so fast

i watch both doctor who and torchwood

  • I still say they should have re-made the opening with Jack hanging on the TARDIS screaming "Doctor" while the music plays in the background.

That would have been a nice special for the DVD.

  • or if he yelled "Honey Im home!" i think that would be funny

  • @Kerriangel He syas almost exactly that when he returns in Torchwood ( he had been gone a few months).

  • Oh god, yes.

  • @Rahhelthethird

Would have pissed myself laughing if they did that. Would have been epic, especially in that slow-mo shot of the TARDIS spinning at 3:42! XD

  • @Rahhelthethird Yes i was thinking exactly the same thing

  • This music, is its original from "The Timelords" aka KLF?

I like the version of Orbital very much.

  • After the hand was cut off by the Sycorax, Captain Jack found it. After the events of this episode, The Doctor has it, until Journey's End.

  • @hweidigiv To the best of my knowledge,it's never explained HOW Jack got it.Maybe Ianto gave it to him as a birthday present or something.XD

  • yes

  • this episode made me so pissed off not only did Captain Jack comrades disobeyed is order not to mas with that machine but they also shot hum in the head and almost ended the world... I don't see how Captain Jack could have trust theses selfish bastards again the way he did If it was me I would have kicked their ass out after I saved the world

  • which episode is THAT?

  • Argh, still looking for the music at 1:17..

  • the editing is great, its the bloody acting that is awful, Dupa.

  • this vid is amazing

  • best editing between torchwood and doctor who i've seen. well done.

  • Damn is that the begining? I alway keep missing it and I have watched it like how many times?

  • Thanks for sharing!! The editing is just perfect! lol

  • Cptn Jack harkness, the only person able to hitch a ride on the Tardis lol

  • let me know if im getting this right. this is doctor who clip? i havent seen all the episodes of doctor who

  • yes it's from season 3

  • ok thanks

  • thats pretty cool, im not alowd to watch torchwood, but my dad and brother said that jack went to find the doctor, one problem with it though, the name, jack was originally from dr who, so it should be jack finds the doctor or sumthin

  • that was really cool actually I always wanted to see it put together like that! wonderful!!!!

  • I'm a bit confused, was abbadon meant to be the same creature seen in "The Satan Pit"?

  • Maybe not the same one, but the same kind.

  • Ah, thanks :)

  • abbadon means son of the beast apparently

  • the angel of the abyss

  • really? oh... MY BAD!

  • @hweidigiv abbadon is the beasts son

  • Abbadon is the son of the Devil from the Impossible Planet.

  • @Trayusstudent1

Abaddon was supposed to be the son of the creature in the satan pit

  • @Trayusstudent1 they say Abbadon is the son of the great beast meaning son of Satan

  • @Trayusstudent1 Satan is Satan. Abbadon was an elder demon locked away by time itself.

  • PLEASE I NEED TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

  • Play the Doctor Who S03E10 - Utopia.

  • episode 11

  • what season is this?

  • this is series 3 for doctor who and series 1 for torchwood

  • season 1 right at the end

  • It is amazing how they do the intertextual references.

  • I love the Dr Who/Torchwood cross references and cross-over points. Reminds you of the exciting new life Russell T breathed into the show. This sequence only reinforces what we knew happened, but it's great edited together like that.

  • @gavinpow77 That isn't actually what happened though.

    1) The Tardis could be heard and the disturbance in the wind it caused was INSIDE the Torchwood facility. Since Jack was running to the Tardis, it could not have been close enough to have those effects inside the Torchwood facility.

    2) When Jack returned to Torchwood (in TW show) months had passed. In DW he had only been gone days, because of the year that never happened.

If I am wrong on any of these points, someone please correct me.

  • @pacifistattack

    1) I know I think this is just RTD's gift of dramz to the audience... >.< He did alot for Doctor Who, but he messed up alot of things as well, imvho.

    2) Either way, Jack returned months later, because the reversed year only stopped on the day the Toclafane were supposed to be revealed - Saxon still got elected.

  • This was so cleverly put together

  • sometin dat could have happened when jack run s 2 da tardis is Martha leanin out da door n yellin "RUN FATBOY RUN!!!" then shutting the door while laughin

  • Torchwood is great theres only one thing I hate about it, Gwen gets on my nerves so much

  • Torchwood tries to hard to be adult programming. Shocking and sexy and all of that. It's really not needed, just look at Doctor Who

  • Excellent video, nicely done, I dunno why but everytime I watch the Torchwood episode "End Of Days" I ALWAYS automatically find myself watching "Utopia" right after it, so thanks for chucking the clips together so i don't have to change discs anymore when i want to watch this story unfold =) lol The only thing i woulda done different is not have used the transistions as it seems a bit too "Windows Movie Maker" to imagine me seeing it on TV, but still, very nice video

  • I get why you say that, but the direct cuts felt choppy, so I needed some way of smoothing the two together. Initially tried a normal dissolve, but this felt right, to me.

  • Fair Enough, like i said, it's good either way =)

  • does anybody have the scene in utopia where jack and the doctor talk about rose through the glass?? plz get back to me x

  • Check back on Monday or Tuesday, I should have a nice collection of 'I miss Rose' clips.

  • THNKYOU!!! x

  • wtf...

  • do ya want to join my group tardis's eat daleks

  • nice

  • a bit sobby
