Just started (sorta. been goin on and off.) barber school. I got real lucky. I go for free. If your mom or pops was in the military you can go for free. Only shitty end of it is I'm 24 and still live at home and I got no job....so no fun stuff. lolz. Good vid. Made me wanna go to school bad. Cant wait till january. Thnx for the vids.

Great video. I live here in Bloomington Illinois and there are at least 4 shops open with unlicensed barbers. And the sad thing is there are only about 6 shops open, no lie. I'm going to play this video in the shop on a crowded day. Thanks for the info.

I Went to college 3 times b4. I ended up dropping out all 3 times. I just had no interest in the fields. Just did it to make money. I got my hair cut mad short for the 1st time ever last year, then i started going to a Urban Style Barbershop to get my hair cutt, and i saw what they do. I fell in love with the Field, and talked to my barber about The Barbering Field. Now ive completed my 1st week at a Barbering College, i got 9 months left to go, and everyday im loving it more and more. :)

Hi Alex. great post. I was checking into going to Barber school. It is going to set me back 8000.00. That is the best I can do around my area. Is that too much to pay? I also have to buy a 'Barbers kit' prior to starting school. That is running 800.00 What do you think?

Get both if you can. You can cut hair with a cosmetology license, you just can't use a razor. Barbers license allows you use a razor.

Alex man u aight. God bless u man. I be telling cats the same thing. Ive been cutn for 21 yrs and am only 33. My first 10yrs no license and like u said it got me so far. I understood that barbering is more than just cutting hair, it is a ministry for me. Im like a shrink, a brother, uncle, father, friend, etc, etc. in the barber shop and that misdemeanor thing, i got threats from other barbers at a young age for stealin customers and wasnt chargin, just loved doin it, but I got mine...

Thanks for the advice man! I am 18 and cutting hair came natural to me. I cut my own hair and my friend's. My brother is good a barber. So he is garanteed to help me. But I'm my own man so I want to become an entrepreneur and have my own barber buissness.
