I had a run with a lightning on the highway the other day... doing about 75 in 6th gear. He kept trying to pass and as soon as I put my foot down (still in 6th) he started to disappear. Gave me a thumbs up as he got off the exit... highway speed is what german cars were built for, not racing from digs. Thats the american way.

yea the lighting was definitely modified big time because cls55 amg does 0 to 60 in about 4.4 secs and stock svt lighting gets about 5 secs flat, which is a big difference.
The CLS55 is a MONSTER! 469HP and 516lb/TQ. The driver probably turned off traction control and just slammed on the accelerator and just spun from first and the way through second gear with all that torque. I've have seen some modifed CLS55's pushing 650HP easily without breaking a sweat..
your right but also remember that cls55 has 469 hp stock from a SC'd 5.5 litre...also remember that the lightning is a truck...but these trucks are easy to modify....who has the balls to modify a cls55?

yea the lighting was definitely modified big time because cls55 amg does 0 to 60 in about 4.4 secs and stock svt lighting gets about 5 secs flat, which is a big difference.

Well, i wouldn't say the CLS55 got smoke, I'd say the DRIVER of the cls55 got smoked.
The cls is capable of a low 12 second quarter mile STOCK and trap speed of 115+mph.

The CLS55 is a MONSTER! 469HP and 516lb/TQ. The driver probably turned off traction control and just slammed on the accelerator and just spun from first and the way through second gear with all that torque. I've have seen some modifed CLS55's pushing 650HP easily without breaking a sweat..

your right but also remember that cls55 has 469 hp stock from a SC'd 5.5 litre...also remember that the lightning is a truck...but these trucks are easy to modify....who has the balls to modify a cls55?

wow...didn't know that bout the AMG...i've never driven one but i have driven a Lightning quite a few times and they are REALLY impressive. They have the same engine as the Ford GT.
