when protests turn to riots it is in most cases due to plain clothes police officers acting as agitators to insight the crowd to riot or to insight the police to attack(throwing bottles, stones, etc.) this is well documented and there are plenty of videos here on youtube of protesters outing these officers in their midst before they could act. as for your attack on my intelligence i can only say that those who would insult in lieu of discuss have no business assessing the intellect of others.

Commanders in the field have repeatedly requested that ADS be sent to protect our brave troops. Yet the disease of political correctness has our stateside decision-makers choked with caution. Actually a non-lethal weapon doesn't have to be non-lethal, just statistically practically non-lethal. that said tasers and their misuse have caused quite a few deaths, and in fact the perception that these "non-lethal" weapons do not cause damage is misleading at best.

My only concern is what happens to an individual when they are trapped and have nowhere to run. If that beam is fixated on that individual isnt that considered torture? What would happen to the person without the person being able to run away? Brain damage, passout, die, long term damages? The police already obtain these, how long before they abuse it like they do the taser. Its to scary to think about.

Well, this is in reality a non-lethal weapon. It SIMULATES extreme heat and therefore dissipates large crowds without lethality. Although, any non-lethal weapon can be used lethally like the tazer. As long as something is a WEAPON it does damage, period. Also, this is for use to make crowds/insurgents disperse, and run off. If the target is cornered or alone, they'd probably just use a tazer.
