Skyrim has some great mods. This game hasn't got any, other than an FOV mod, but I understand it causes problems, So thank god a consoled game has got mods and this RPG is great without mods!

Guys, is this open world ? I only played a couple minutes into the demo's first mission, a lot of it was going down alleys it sort of felt like Final Fantasy XIII at the start ? Does it end up to be open world like Skyrim later on ?

@xApAcKx not in the least bit.. sure they have similarities but isn't that what makes RPG's and games of this genre stand out? if you stray too far, it becomes a different style game, and thus not the image they imagined it to be. this has in my opinion ( as an elder scrolls fan) a better gameplay feel than skyrim. plus the easy ability to create new weapons out of those you dont need, thats a phenomenal bonus and helps a ton.. these games are all unique in their own way.

Maybe they're just referring to the actual LOOK. WoW has a pretty distinct style and color scheme, so it makes sense that when you see another fantasy game using a similar style and color palette, WoW comes to mind.

Kind of reminds me of Two Worlds Two with the whole combat and open world stuff although it plays, looks and feels a lot smoother and better than Two Worlds Two. It also kind of reminds me of Fable in the way it looks and honestly it seems like a pretty fun/great game to play. I'm downloading the demo right now mostly for the ME3 bonus items but after watching some more vids on it and seeing more of the gameplay I'm deeply considering purchasing this game. If not when it comes out then sometime

This reminds me of Fable albeit open world, and a mix of RPG elements seen in WoW (skill trees). The Combat seems more Arcade oriented. That's not to say its not an RPG, or that its bad. On a side note, TES has a great community for the PC. The mods change an otherwise mediocre game (skyrim), into a beast much like Oblivion. The fact that this game has the name of lead designer of Oblivion doesn't impress me at all. Given that the game was utter crap (vanilla) if anyone remembers that.

Why would any publisher put the money in when no matter what gets made, EVERYONE would say it's shit and just rebuild it themselves? Or more likely use someone else's mods to rebuild it? to all those comparing this to skyrim (elder scrolls 5), u might wanna consider the fact that lead designer of Morrowind and Oblivion (elder scrolls 3 and 4), Ken Rolston was overseeing the development of Reckoning, so yes they borrowed some design elements form elder scrolls games. Having sad that, the only thing ES and KoA have in common is that they are open world RPG's. On a different but related note, i have been playing ES since Daggerfall (ES 2) and to be honest Skyrim disappointed me
