So how did you guys make it work on mac?

I have an ezcap that is also by somagic but I can't get it to work for my mac.

Any help would be awesome.

Outdated drivers? If they work there is no need for an update.

Image Quality? Its 480i isn't it? So is not that bad.

As far as i'm concerned, This easycap only has one con:

- Not a real easycap (made by Somagic Inc.) so the actual easycap drivers do not work.

But in the end, it does its job, and does it properly.

The bad audio is due to an overheat apparently, taking off the cover will fix it (though i haven't tried it).

@LazdaBazda Yes, but its been modifed later in Vegas pro. So the rendering settings might not been the best.

@TheEminemRaps we use pal-60 and everything else set to standard. I do want to give you a headsup that this might not work, I dont know why. But these settings works on some computers and does not on others. Good luck!

can you play game consoles directly on computer or is it just a recording funcition

@wobledoble this depends on your computer. I play and record directly on my mac. But some computers might give you lag when recording so then you migth need to play on an external screen. My macbook (the new version) makes it.

Ah but the quality isnt that bad, could be a LOT worse. For its price its totally worth it in my opinion :P

awesome :) just one question, do you need these uh 3 color cables that comes with your xbox? cause right now I got an HD Cable from microsoft. but I still got the color cables in the xbox box. Also does this work capturing other devices such as Nintendo? Or does it only work with devices that use these 3 color cables? thanks in advance :)

@ZonixZ59706090 yes you need the "colored cables" (Yellow, red and white) since it´s the only inputs on the easycap (+S-video / but XBOX does not have a S-video cable). You can record from any kind of console,dvd player and so on. But you need have the Yellow,red and white or S-video. Nintendo should have either a "Scart cable" or the "Yellow ones", (Scart can be converted to "yellow cables" with an adapter. Adapters for that are cheap and can be bought nearly any where.)

Oh okay thanks, well I do have alot of old stuff both from Nintendo 64, Playstation 1etc and theres a whole lot of scart cables and colored cables so I should be fine haha xD

One last question though, can you record any Xbox 360 game with this recorder? Im gonna head to the store where I can buy it in about 1 and a half hour.

Oh wait, that wasnt EasyCAP :/ I found out now that it is Deltaco TV-58, about same idea and stuff, just a different brand. O well if it doesnt work im gonna look up EasyCAP somewehre

Hey dude, thanks for the info. You made me very happy because I have three macs on my home (the sku will arrive in some days) and the thing working in a macbook was awesome. I will not need bootcamp :D

@PlantaReborn no problem. I would say that the Easycap is best for mac. Since we have only got it to work 100% with mac. But it will work with PC if you give it alot of time and trying.
