Spiritual practice is generally about changing your attitude...and people who are not intrested in spiritual practice are people who dont have any meaning in their life because they dont give their life meaning. How striking and deep!! It really made me change the way I look at things....
real spiritual practice is to bear things that are normally not bearable. This is the sign that we have spiritual improvements. But on the outside, it looks like we have not changed at all as people cannot tell until the situation comes around. (tsemtulku(dot)com)
when real spiritual practice is applied, on the outside it looks as if nothing changes, but at the same time everything actually changes when your motivation and prespective about everything and how you see things because now you react differently than you did before when in reality nothing has really changed. neonlama(dot)com
there is a book that is actually based on this teaching and more for sale at kechara(dot)com: Nothing Changes, Everything Changes. The book is so much more complete than this one.
This talk is pure, white gold - encrusted with diamonds and rubies. I tried to take notes but ended up writing down almost his every word. This was a missing link in my understanding. Thank you Tsem Rinpoche.
hehe maybe you can help kechara house transcribe Rinpoche's teachings! They're always needing someone to help them out with transcripts. You might want to check out kecharapub(dot)com to contact the right people to help out with transcripts :) that way, you can benefit more people when a book manifests because of YOUR transcript =)
I want to help. I love doing that. I have loads of free time. please send me a message. I listen to teachings all of the time. I need to give my life meaning. love, terri
go PM that joey guy in that tsemtulku(dot)com/Forum. He'll be happy to assist you. Its so fun that there is a forum that lets you dicuss his teachings and all other subjects openly without being judged!!
Is this statement meant to justify lack of love and caring? I have no patience with people who justify lack of love any more. If a mother's baby did not look like a baby and treated her horribly like Alien resurrection then she would probably have to take the consequences and have it euthanized. But that usually does not happen. Or does it?
Unconditional love exists, but it's rare and hard to find. I am not doubting your love, but to make you think deeper as we are not at the level of loving someone unconditionally yet because if you love one being, you have to love the rest of them unconditionally. (tsemtulku(dot)com/Forum
What you said is true about unconditional love. And it is very tragic that it is like that in the world. I do think very deeply. I consider myself a philosopher. I believe in loving all living beings. But I don't believe in letting all criminals free.
loving criminals does not equal to letting them free. Loving criminals is to try and rehabiliate them. If that fails, they should be kept away from causing more harm to others. That is being kind to criminals. They deserve a chance too, that is if they are really sincere and serious about changing to be a good guy. neonlama(dot)com
This is my favorite videos of yours I've seen. That's really cool that you're putting these on YouTube. I've never seen a lama without robes! Which lineage?
Question: if one is not reincarnated, where does his mindstream go after death, anyway?
forwardmarch Question: if one is not reincarnated, where does his mindstream go after death, anyway?
In my small understanding if one no longer wishes to reincarnate to this earth, and they have attained enlightenment, then the mindstream is reborn into a higher realm. In other words, they reincarnate into a higher realm.
he's a Gelugpa and the absence of robes helps him relate more to people who are not monks or who do not aspire to be monks. After all, people are superficial.
haha youtube lama is a very orginal title. Yep, I agree. There were quite a few of his students who came to him all because of Youtube. It's very befitting.

Yes, I agree. True love is unchanging happiness. When I look at my dog I feel this eternal love. Those moments are unchanging. They are perfect.
nicolatwo 4 years ago
truth is that kind of love is based on conditions. If your dog were to take another form or treat you differently, you wouldnt feel the same way.

If by "one is not reincarnated" you mean an enlightened being, then see the Aggi-Vacchagotta Sutta

their mind dwells in a state called the Bardo, and if it still dosent take rebirth then it will take the form of a wandering spirit.
