  • hahaha

  • Prime Numbers in the Quran point to 31 events to hit Earth Jan-Nov 2012 each lasting 4 days and sweeping the Globe 4 times along 31 latitudes.

Most places of worship will become safe havens so we may finally realize that we all worship the same ONE GOD regardless of religious flavor.

  • @pureprimes Do people still believe in that old school Allah stuff?

  • And will you away with your grave concerns. Green ink I say, you use green ink

  • This song does indeed rule, but once more, with feeling...."just take it mod p and you'll have better luck"

  • This song rules!

  • haha THE NERD SONG :D

  • allright then, cheers

  • this song is so f***ed up !

  • I dont understand english spoken, better is "song" is include in the title, I expect a graphical.

  • Zeros of a feather flock together.

  • wow this is a poetic masterpiece. i'm in awe

  • With lyrics please this a great poem .

  • I have now attempted to elaborate on a load of points in the comments to my video response to this. Got nutty sounding stories in it about how I met some of the top maths guys.

  • when you know for a fact that you personally will never contribute anything of substance to a subject, a last hope for acknowledgment is always: write some inane song that mocks the entire effort.

  • The song was written by Tom Apostol - who is an expert on the subject and has contributed much research. It does not intend to mock in any way!

  • Brilliant!!! It's sad that only mathematicians can really apreciate this masterpiece.

  • @gwarrrr I just finished reading The Riemann Hypothesis by Karl Sabbagh. Not a mathematician, but I did appreciate these lyrics.

  • this song is awesome. 150th birthday of RH is coming...

  • what the hell. is this singing man mental? i was searching some serious video of riemann hypothesis and came across this video. my mood got off after watching this god damned singing video. how does it sound when u make such dumb meaningless song about such a serious topic

  • Well this text is actually everything but dumb. He (almost) sums up the whole story of the zeta function in rhyme and gets all the facts correct. Like a previous poster mentioned only Deligne is missing among the many outstanding mathematicians and their work mentionend here (OK probably some more)

  • Flattering that youtube thinks this video is for me, but this is so far over my head the Hubble Ultra Deep Field might as well be around the corner.

  • The last verse here is a variation ("take it mod p" replacing "use R.M.T.") of the Random Matrix Theorist's version. I guess this refers to the fact that the corresponding "Riemann Hypothesis" for curves over finite fields was proved almost a century ago by Weil. In 1974Deligne also proved the RH for function field Zeta functions, and the icing on the cake is that Katz and Sarnak have now shown that the statistics coming from R.M.T. are valid for these Zeta function as well!

  • I wish I understood this!

  • comface my good friend! Amused to see you're comment is the most recent for this. Next time you're up in Lancaster I can certainly help you understand it better. In the meantime, check out "The music of the primes" (BBC documentary and also a book by the same name) by Marcus du Sautoy - which ends with the 1st verse of this song.

  • I've just made and uploaded a video which may help (if you use your pause button, Comface)!

It's called "Proof of the prime number theorem - part 1".

  • Brilliant!

  • Excellent work, thanks for this. I invite you to have a listen at our little mickey-take song about someone at lot less notable

  • Lolz... I am currently working on the RH, and this is just awesome...

  • dude I too am a mathematician can we talk

  • dudes, what happened to you? i nearly fall asleep when i was listening to this song at the ETH Zurich last week ;)

  • I have always thought of Mathematics as an Arts subject. Applications are just a generosity on her part. In other words she is just a hand-maiden in other departments, but visit her in her own house and you see the Queen. This song is really wonderful. Thank you.

  • greatgreatgreatgreat

  • BRAVO!

  • It's amazing that Riemann was able to link analysis and number theory, but I don't see how analytic number theory and Oral Sex Tips are related, except maybe through Littlewood and Hardy. But I have a feeling oral sex tips are more popular...

  • Excellent Song....How Beatiful.

  • What is the name of this song!, please, I love it!!!!

  • too awesome for words.

if you were going to rhyme something with Deligne, it would have been too awesome for awesomeness itself. and mentioning Weil, wow.

  • You are my hero for the two next hours.

  • Exceptionnal !!

  • dkgojackets makes some interesting points here.
