  • The song is about... Being a nigger and looking around and seeing other niggers!

This shit is like jelly its not dense and if songs aren't dense i cant listen to them because its kind of like listening to soulja boy with common on the out side. perpoturus

  • Is it bad that i LOVE it when Amanda curses??? lol.

WHOA> and Nas was wildin. So go on and call him a Coon. lol.

I just dont like that how i was expecting for his album to be some kind of wonderful/groundbreaking...and u right...it came up short.

  • I love it too. Maybe because I don't cuss, I feel like she does it for me. LOL

  • Amanda Diva is the realest, it's good to see a sister take the lead on things. She's saying a lot of things we need to hear right now.

  • Simply beautiful.

  • hahahaha....lol that song is niiiceeee....i just love to see her happy=D=D....& what up with my nigga nas???lol i used to feel that nigga hard man...damn!!i mean even i listend to him & dont get what his message is

  • this woman is very powerful...i dont care what they say....amanda diva is my super woman!!!

  • The message that I got from Nas's video is that we all use this term so loosely in society without considering the hurtful history it carries behind it.We've gotten to a point now where many different races are using the word. We went through lynchings, massacres, and burnings behind this word yet everybody wants to be a "nigga".I,for one, strongly dislike the word myself, but if we really want to stress the message about how uncool it is to use, we need to let the issue be known internationally .

  • I am really not in the mood today!!!!I got woken up today about some problem...& it had to do with money...2 days ago i was with my friends, & 1 of em was cryin couse 2 of em had a fight about money!!i had to cheere him up couse no 1 els could, & he told me look what money doese. to day i woke up wit a problem 7h ago & my eye's are still red, couse it had me thinkin what am i doin really??& what am gion to do. FUCK FRIENDS they aint shit!i am in really no mood!!

  • anyway...I was Watchin this show here & the New 1,I have hade enough of hearing this marchin 4 freedom staf,it's imbarrasing...i see my family marching & i woulden know what to do but tell em stop, couse so far we've done that for so long & aint shit been changed, we can't keep lookin up to the white poeple..we need our own leader. a smart one!!& then we need to mash for him..i aint sayin that we aint tryin..just that we need to STOP MARCHIN for the peace & START MASHIN for it!!& I MASH 4 the n!!

  • yall stop being dunb nas aint going to make stupid shit, if yall really nas he always try to to teach these dumb mutha phuckers thanks for reading:}2012

  • She being real about Nas nigger song, she's a fan of him big time, cuz i've heard her interview this nigga in the pass on radio, tv etc., yea keep it real.

  • Dont have any idea what the hell Nas is talkin about. Ever since I seen dat video of him at the red carpet with the "Nigger" jacket, I really do know what is goin on in his head.

  • Nas you can never make that word sound sweet never and i'm a Native American and i'm insulted by hearing the word Nigger it's degrading Man, Whites used that word to keep blacks in mental slavery.

  • heard about the protest in Nyc.

Nas know he can do much better.

  • wtf? Nas knows the fuck hes talkin bout. ninja is the best rapper alive. everbody needs to shut da fuck up and just open their ears. wait till Nigger drops

  • Nigger comes from the european word nigra meaningl;black. So literaly it has no negitive connotation. Even when using the word black to children they will say ,"black what? black cat? black hat?" EVERYONE SCHOULD READ MALCOMB X'S ORGANIZATION OF ARICAN UNITY SPEECH.(the same speech he was suppose to read the nite he was murdered.)

  • Please spare us the pointless etymology of a word that for over a century now has been taken LEAGUES away from the benign nature of its derivative by those driven by hate and ignorance. A word's meaning and its use can often be two different things. For instance a bitch is LITERALLY a female dog but if someone calls another person a bitch they won't consider it a compliment to the cuteness of pink poodle. FURTHERMORE, it's Malcolm, no "B."

  • hi amanda i looooove you..you re such a beautiful woman and nice artist..n you re intelligent ...

ok you may not read this..so let me talk to all of ya....

you can still love amanda and disagree with her..like she disagreed with nas...i m not yet ready to critizise nas (cause i worship him lol)..but amanda definatly got a point///the message of the song IS NOT CLEAR...and nas mabe didnt thought about if the song will more help or destroy....

  • Yeah Nas was a total let down. Big ups to Nicole Paultre Bell for being a true strong woman.

  • Diva, you're killin me with this one. Overall other than the Sean Bell verdict, I have to say the Nas track stands out the most. I'll just jump right to it.

Nigger: Extremely Disparaging and Offensive. a person of any race or origin regarded as contemptible, inferior, ignorant, etc.

How can a man offend me by calling me a nigger due to my color with a definition like that? Think of the song as a Thesaurus.

  • Hey i don't get this??

mike vick kill dog = jail

    cops kills Bell = free

    ????

  • amazing how a human beings life of a black person, seems less than the of a dog's life

    :(

    thank you for this comment

  • I love your shows... but let me just comment on the Nas song. I personally like it. for the most part to me, it seems simple to understand. Its like he's speakin on the contradictions of bein a "nigga" and how its no different from bein a "nigger." And then its like he shows how everyone from whites to asians like the "nigga" style, but doesnt want the repercussions... but thats just what I took from it...

  • And NaS ain't saying shit. He's trying to sell.

  • ignorant hateful people like him makes me want to rally harder!!

R.I.P. Seal Bell he won't be forgotten.

  • thats a damn shame that people get a screen name and talk all kinds of shit... hold ya head girl you doin ya thing...

  • i was going to remove the comment below...but i'ma leave as a reminder to folks of the ignorance and hate that continues to thrive in this world and that we must continue to rally against.

  • thank you, you white trash for showing your ignorance off! what a loser! next time post a video reply not some coward text you the weak bitch.

  • Your name should be 'Spittininthewind' lol, with your crazy ass... you reflect the same angry ignorant hateful characteristics you hate in so called Niggers! look at your words , look at your use of grammar to express a very simple thought about a disagreement in a video, what is it that you disagree with? or are you juss angry with no intelligent justifiable cause? LAWD GOD! lol i want to be able to understand the anger of a racist for once. Amanda i love you like cook food, your beautifull!

  • Spit on You, What An Unintelligent Stupid Fool

    of a AssHole You Are!

    Stop Hating On Her Intelligence!!!

Stop The Hating on Someone Who's Smarter Loser!!

  • you jack-ass... unless you some kin to somebody thats part of the "International Bankers," then you're a NIGGER too!!

  • Word to God on what you speaking on, let's make a change right Now.

  • Sen.Robert Byrd favorite new song "Be a nigger Too"

  • I might only be 19, but it doesn't take anyone with a PhD to realize that the judge here, isn't fit to preside over anymore cases in his judicial career....

  • Some of folks around here are completely missing the point here:Sean Bell was a black man murdered by the police: BECAUSE HE WAS A BLACK MAN. If people would wake up and realize that the police have NEVER been an ally of the Black society, then maybe the scales would be taken off their eyes. 50 shots! They will forever be living contradictions: if a policemen is supposed to be one who enforces 'the law' and encourages justice-I think we have yet to actually see one.

  • It's ridiculous. Black people have power now, more than we ever have in the history of the US and something like this goes down and theres is little to no support. How many basketball players, and football players, rappers, bus drivers, police officers, firemen, government officials could threaten to quit or strike until something changes and some kind of punishment is doled out. Where would that leave the country, or better yet NY City. We want to squash racism we have to care enough to act.

  • i'm glad for theloveofmoney got it, bcuz

the topic relates black on black crime the justice system is not concern if black people kill, rob each other etc.

  • hey isoulsis, on the reals thats what i thought about, peace.

  • yea man, i know you heard,

'some that run forces are the same that burn crosses'

  • hahaha, whats the name of the group that have

those lyrics,? i know it's a hip-hop/rock group, but the name of the group escapes me.

"some of those that run forces are the same the burn crosses" holla at me if you know.

  • ayo the song and lyrics are from a dope dude name 'Zack de la Rocha' he's like rap/metal

  • And now I'm caught up on my DivaTV.

  • Yes, R.i.p., Seal Beal but i don't think it was about racism, (2) of the cops we're black

so how is racism?! this is my opinion.

If you all would listen to Nas lyrics with an open mind it is about racism, i don't get the let down.

  • the issue is not that the cops were black it's that if this atrocity had been to a white person the punishment would have been doled out differently. That is why it is racism.

  • well okay you have point, so basically your saying the color is Green, if Sean Bell was a wealthy man, the verdict would've have a different out take politcally and to the public.

  • he wouldn't have to have been wealthy. You seem committed to thinking this is not about race now proposing that it's about class. Though that is always a factor the bottom line is it is ABSOLUTELY about race. Not saying you, but Many want to think racism doesn't exist anymore and that simply isn't true.

  • You should do a remix on the "we shall overcome" song with papoose, since you both are on this matter. 2 strong voices might help. (just an idea)

  • okay word. Ms Diva i feel you.

  • I think it's really hard for some white people to accept racism because they believe they will be held personally responsible in some way. This makes them try to rationalize racism in every way but the most obvious.

The fact is that if Sean Bell were white he would have never been shot. It doesn't matter who shot him - they get to keep breathing.

  • 50 SHOTS! Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. R.I.P. Sean Bell.

  • I'm not feelin Nas lyrics.

hey maybe you and him can collaborate together on a song about Sean Bell..

or i hope You write a deep song about

    Sean Bell.

  • Mrs. Bell will have some justice in the end

for the wrongful death of Sean Bell, but sadly

she,her child or anyone that loved him will never have him back.

Nas, song i really wish the word {Nigger} was just a word, but it's not, it's taboo full of racial hatred and Nas can't sugarcoat the word {Nigger} to change my views ever.

  • yea, the cops! the cops! the trigger fucking happy cops! killed my lil brother, this story repeats it self over and over it's time for a

    solution.

  • was checking videos on Sean Bell,

okay cool to to see addressing on a serious issues note: big up's!

  • yea give us all a fucking break.

what? the cops told you what do you want us to do? what the fuck is the world comin to.

Nas did he do this song as a joke!?!

  • Oh yes Amanda i mos def consign with your words, it's not media it is all political

  • What justice! yea all they gonna do is let

those pigs sit in a office and do paper work,

they need to get the fuck off the force!

and plus only one cop apologized to her..fucked up!

  • real talk, that sign should read:

    (Corrupt)

    (Predator)

    (Riding)

  • Haaa Word Up!

  • yes indeed cops like that are corrupt predators riding dirty.

  • Yea!!!

  • have you heard the new papoose song "we shall overcome"??? IT's HISTORY!!!U should get on the remix amanda.

  • Look this song is definately on point it's going over peoples heads. First the hook, do u understand sarcasm he first let ya'll know in every community there r niggas, then there r those who want to act like niggas but then he lets u know the things they do 2 niggas, do u really want 2 be a nigga 2.

  • i feel you on the statement "angry poet"

not feeling the song by Nas it sounds lame.

  • Dr. Diva on the reals serious on all sides, most nyc Mc's

hip-hop need to do something, a mixtape to honor

    Sean Bell's lost.

  • yea it's like i want to shout to the top of my lungs 'I'm mad as hell and we not gonna take this anymore'!! i'm so pissed with people dying in the hands of the so called law for no fucking reason, we need to be mad as hell we're human beings our life have such great value, these kind of cops don't need to be cops how in fuck, do they sleep at night.

i hope a Mc do a real deep ass song on all this shit, unlike Nas song.

  • ... i totally cosign on what you saying, first i cried, and like you i was so mad and still mad.

  • yea! we need to be mad as Hell!

  • good Ep imma Big up! myself thanks!

I wish you could distribute your music other purchase other credit card for starving college students maybe by certified check

like a money order or in a record store or something like that, no worries imma find a friend wit good credit.

  • real talk this is all on point this Ep 14seriousness on all topics needs to be heard ya feel

  • i guess it mean everybody is some what a nigga? idk

  • yes, very serious issues with crazed police thugs.

i'm hoping thats the only bad song Nas has on his Cd, hate the title.

  • i wonder what the world would like be without any guns ever!!

i guess that an imaginary thought.

  • whats up's Natalie, yea lil homie haha yea thats imaginary all rite

  • hey oxox i'm do fine. question are most police officers here in the states ex military?

in france they are, but they don't kill people in large numbers like here

  • hmmm, probable lil homie, yea here they shot to kill first and still don't care later.

  • man i love this girl

  • Yay! one of my sheros gave me Big Up's!

i feel so honored, thanks for that Amanda :)

  • i'm feelin your Ep 14 serious issues and Nas

in his lyrics didn't reach me.

  • To have a mic is to have POWER. To be able to draw enough emotion and courage to stand up in front of people and expel words that move minds, is a gift and a PRIVILEGE. But to molest it and shit on the power of music slaughterous.

  • In my opinion, it is truly toxic and lack luster of Nas to try and justify the "Nigger" by coupling it with other biased terms. But then again, I'm not certain of his intentions;a speaker, singer etc... comes full circle when they vocalize from their soul, but I often ask myself: Who am I to judge?

  • yo this may not be Nas at his best, but rather

hear this song, than hear any of souljah boys

trash. give the legendary Nas a break! dang, Amanda i thought Nas was ur boi!

  • well my man, Nas should be a better role model

    and should know better!

  • Yo Nas is a role model, you can't let one song say he's not,

    real talk:

plus parents need to be a role model in their own kids lives, you can not always look for Mc's to be good role models, it needs starts at home first.

  • dude... i'm talking about Nas being a better role model within the world of hip-hopper's, for the young Mc's coming up.

We all know parents should be good role model to their own kids.

  • i'm just sayin, do you really think Nas is a role model to dumb down so called mc's like soulja boy?! Not! or he wouldn't putting shit out like he do.

  • how wouldn't i know, you gotta ask him that question for yourself. me personally i don't think soulja boy is a mc, and you must blame the folks under his record label, he is still a boy.

  • other than Pac i'm a big Nas Fan, but i'm not feelin him wit the nigger song.

word. what Abiodune, the last poets is sayin is so true, police bleed blue no matter what color or race they are.

  • first off Amanda, thanks for the shout outs! and big ups! you are a inspiration to hip-hop.

Nas in my opinion he rushed this song, it shouldve had a much better message lyrically

like Nas has done in the past

  • Comment on Nas: If he were Native American his name would be Talking Bullshit. That is what that song is, BULLSHIT! I don't know what the hell he is saying but he is adding fuel to the fire. Just say "hell no!" I am a huge Nas fan, but my "blackness" will not allow me to support this shit.

  • HAHAAA THAT WAS GOOD! "Talking Bullshit" haaa! Funny!

    xoxo

  • The Chorus was hard to take BUT the actual lyrics of the song were on point.

  • The old nas has forsaken us i dont know i think the money really got to him listen to illmatic and then listen to this shit its like 10 years and 10 million dollars of difference so you know

  • when i first heard that nas song i thought he lost a bet or something cause on average he woudln't make music like that

  • Honestly i think hes is trying to be ironic like alot of people are saying he just didnt sit down long enough to put a legitimate answer together to share with the world give him sometime he might pull something out his ass lol

thanks for the big up!!!! i support you in everything your doing.. Diva Speaks episodes are soo informing, funny, useful, unique, intelligently put together, and inspiring all at the same time.. i commend you on being such a motivated person you push me to do more =]

  • big ups to all my haters lo lo dey know

  • Okay Ms. Diva, about NAS, (now this is not racist or anything praise the lawd). But do you think, he's actually trying to be Ironic?? Stay with me here... By calling everyone a n*&&er, do you think he's saying that people should not only be upset by the word, but also by the concept, and racism in general; because it affects us all...Thus being Ironic?

Or... he could just be going through some kind of pre-midlife crisis. I have no Idea!

    Peace&Love ~Jessica~

  • Ms. Diva,

    glad we cool

...to Abiodune, two cops were "technically" convicted of killing Malice Green, so hope is still alive

  • Hey Amanda,

You are definitely correct regarding the Sean Bell case. A lot of us are angry and upset over this matter, including me.

My condolences go out to Sean's family and his wife.

  • I think Nas is tryin 2 say that @ the end of the day racist whites look @ every body as "niggers" in the negative sense that has no bearing on pigment..and how every body wan't to "be a nigga" but nobody really wan't to "be a nigga" when shit gets rough....

or it could be a bunch of bullshit Nas came up wit 2 sell records..U know controversey does that

  • yeah true that, controversey does sell music, sad in the case of Nas song tho

  • I guess Nas is talking about how everyone has been discrimnated against? I don't know, I have a problem with the N-Word anyway but I have a real problem with the way he's promoting his album. Its very confusing. Is he doing this as a publicity stunt? From what I've heard, he's a very talented and respected artist, why would he feel the need to do this? I've read the lyrics, there's too many racial slurs going on, he needs to tone it down and make whatever message he's trying to make clear.

  • "went to go tell the cops"?....snitch! hahaha, i'm kiiidding!!

    :-)

  • Also, your perspective on Nas' albm is very similar to my own. Actually, i'm not feeling the title of the album. Is he trying to say it's a negative word or positive?

His message is a bit misleading in my opinion.

  • not surprised by the verdict.

  • Thanks for the shout out!..I can't believe these cops got off with a slap on the wrist. In my black women in the U.S. class, my professor brought up the topic, and one of my classmates made some very ignorant comments about the verdict and dealing with police. he's made ignorant comments before in class, but this time he went too far.he basically said that black people just have to watch what they do around police and to just deal with police brutality. Did I mention he is black & saying this.

  • *gives self a big up!*

    lawd!

    imma pray for nas.

  • Being in college i have had many deep and heartfelt discussions with people of my race and of other backgrounds but after this i just lost all hope. He needs to really think about the message he wants to send and not try to make a point that he does not fully understand yet. The racial slurs used in this song made me sick to my stomach!

  • I am so confused about Nas' new record. He too was one of my favorite rappers and it seems that he is trying to break back into the mainstream over some controversial stuff.

  • I like Nas too and I couldn't believe he would make a song like that either. I have no idea what he was talking about.

  • i mean the hook is pretty bad but the verses were not bad at all though

  • Its like I come back to life every time I watch dis stuff. I like die through the week with what you call "a mass of controversial BS". Nahmean, keep doing ya thing. Eventually, it'll get around to the right people and increase the intellect of our most thorough dickheads.

  • Amanda's my wifey. I Luv Ya! Very Good Vid this week. The poet dude at the end was deep.

  • i can't imagine being in her place. [Nicole]. It's hard.

  • YEA YEA!!! I LOVE U AMANDA! ur a big role model for da youngz! keep doin ur thing ma
