  • @AZUREE100 My brother, it doesn't make a difference what our skin tone is or how we where bought up in our respected churches. I am a true believer, as a minister of music that what's from the heart will and does reach the heart. True praise is felt from within and a soul message to God, not and act or a song just being sung. You being touched means this song has done what it was mint to do. Thank you for your posting, it has touched me.

  • who is the lady at .002 and at 0045 ?

  • LOVE it, love it, LOVE it! Moves me every time I hear it.

  • why do black people have so much more of Jesus than we white people?

  • Great question! Black people not have more Jesus than you do or anyone else for that matter. Your observation of the very charismatic style of praise, worship, and so is very much so a part of our history as a race of people. It can be traced back to before slavery and is well documented throughout the course of our existence today.

  • @masorlie what we have is more soulfulness and outward emotion its part of our chemistry I know some white brothers and sisters that become very spiritual when praising the LORD. Ask GOD to give you a dose of it. Maybe you have not because you ask not.

  • Wonderful

  • the songs that get us through the dark times.....praise you JESUS.....

  • DAT GUL CAN SANG!

  • The Black Church ain't church without a piano and the famous Hammond Organ/Leslie speaker! If a church has a good gospel pianist and organist (even without percussions or guitars) it can rock the house. Listen to the beginning of this video...you hear both...wow...that's called The Church.

  • YES!!! that's the main reason i keep coming back to this video. so calming yet powerful. God is good all the time. And all the time God is good

  • @MethodistPreacher she is just glowing everyday i listen to her sing it gives me goose bumps

  • Beautiful version! Inspiring. The song is originally titled, "Jesus, The Light of the World".

  • there is hope in your voice....I pray with you the white isish guy...../

  • The best singers in the world are almost never heard outside the black church. You have to appreciate that these folks refuse to sing secular even though they would blow every pop star off the map if they ever got a chance.

  • Sensacional!

    Thanks God.

  • Thank God there is someone else who cares for the OLE School gospel singers who remain true in their song of praise. These are the songs that brought us through all of the hurt, heartbreaks, loses and temptations. May we continue to be blessed by their voices.

So keep up the faith i'm sure there are many more of us out there!

  • it's seems so sad when i watch this that gospel music had to be overtaken by electronic trends. wish there was a whole generation of young singers and musicians in this amazing tradition. i know things change, but still.

  • Let not your heart be troubled there are many who prefer traditional gospel to this new stuff...it is alright but when the spirit needs to be fed it is this kind of music that speaks and feeds the soul....Hold on help is on the way! Your sister in Christ
