  • The videoclip from when german soldiers took Norway in 1940 and our soldier fought bravely, could have been better.

The lyric was good and the melody very good:)

  • Yesterday, Kaizers said this song is renamed "Sigurd Rushfeldt" because of his norwegian goalrecord... Said it in Tromsø, Norway at Døgnvill where Sigurd is from!!

  • I freakin' love this fuckings great song !! Oh my god! :D

  • wonderful freaking song.... thank you humon for sending me here

  • i like how me falckman and tiddler111 are the only ones that speak english

  • good music vid, wich movie is it from?

  • where did you find the old film clips for this video? or did you make the whole thing? it's beautiful by the way, great work

  • 111 likes og 1 dislike.. det liker vi :D

  • Bra video :D

  • This is delicious!

  • @jannebiff1337

  • @DenHiryuu

For noe tull.

  • @MagnusRulerHardt

I begynnelsen av konsertene pleide Janove å si; This is a song called 170.

Its about a soldier that went to fight in the war and died.

  • @DenHiryuu

    Da får det være, da.

  • @jannebiff1337

  • @Foozer1 Heller 1 enn 2 ;)

  • Dejlig sang. :)

  • Denne sangen er så trist! :'(

This song is so sad! :'(

  • 170

    Relax, we'll soon be returning

You know we'll get sufficient funding

Now I enlist as a voluntary soldier

When I go out I've become a father

It was night and it became day and night again

I wrote letter after letter but never got one back

half a year with shots and open wounds

half a year! God, how time goes slow

  • i'm english and this is the impression i get from this song. you are welcome to correct meif i'm wrong. it's saying that war is shit and soldiers are just numbers. 170. the guy's gonna die and he's leaving a wife nad kid behind. love this band xxx

  • @tiddler111

    Hi,

I can tell You the actually story behind this song and lyrics:-)This isa true story, it was in an Norwegian newspaper named "VG".

The story goes abt like this: There was a solider with many of course, this solider, "nr.170" Covername", wrote a letter to hes mother after been on the front in WW2 for abt 4years, only one week befor he was finished with hes duty, he wrote the letter, because he was shore nothing would happen those last few days. ----->>> 1/2

  • @tiddler111

    2/3

Then a splintgrenade was thrown in hes "shootingpit", (correct my eng if its wrong), right outside hes defence position right at the "safe" base. Then Hes officer, I think to remember nr-175/76, had to drive to hes mom and tell the very bad news.

Another interesting thing to tell yall in this ocation, something totally idiotic, ya know under WW2, many norwegian marines was thrown on mission, often suicide missions, and most of them never got the possibillity to set theyr----->

  • @Viking0fNorway If you're talking about what I think you're talking about then what you call a "shootingpit" is commonly called a "fox hole" in the US military (if it has a covering on top to hide it from view it's called a "spider hole") but the official term is "defensive fighting position", at least according to wikipedia.

That's terrible how Norway treated it's veteran's, maybe it's just a bad country.

  • @tiddler111 therfor there was socalled " (rationation-cards) on those most products accept meat, vegitables, fish and corn:) the totally sick thing is this:

When the marines walked on shore when they arrived for the lastr time, they needed to get some food on this "limited/share/ration-cads. they was still standing in the Royal King of Norways uniforms, but were denied fooddelivery from all stores, because ------>

  • @tiddler111

the gouvernment told the that they were not norwegians anymore because the long work at sea. and the stupidest of all is that all the norwegian soliders(that ofcourse works for the norwegian gouvernment) was Forced to pay normal taxes even if they were in royal/military mission.

  • @tiddler111 Those soliders that refuced to pay, (of course they did) where threathen from the military & gouvernment that theyr parents would loos mony and house if the soliders didnt pay. even today, they havent got repayd the mony the fuckin gouvernment owns them.. hehe..

A bit of selfmedicination and good

  • God. Heavy stuff. I stand corrected, but in a way I'm right. War is crap and soldiers are only fodder. Thanks for the interesting info, Viking.

Det var interessant å lese, Takk!

  • @tiddler111

    Tusen takk igjen:-)

    Krig er en fæl ting:(

    Peace Bro!

  • vakker sang, vakker film.

    elsker sangen, elsker de live!<3

  • @Daare111

    3/4

Foot on norwegian land under the whole period upp to 5 .5 years on the most warveterans tell. well, to get to the psycho point, in Norway they ave a law that say that if you have been away from norway fore more then 4 yoears, youre not a norwegian anymere, so when the soliders was finnished with duty and came back home, they had to get some sorts of food like, NaCL, suger, soda, etc, things they couldnt make themself. ---->

  • forstod ikke helt den engelsken din x)

    norsk takk? :P

  • I love the song, but when I translate it for people they always give me the look that says "wow....she's a tad depressing isn't she" lmao

  • goosebumps to the bone! elska dinna sangen:D

  • Å faen, det e så fint!

  • Great song! (+3)

    Nice movie (+1)

    and perfect with lyrics (+1).

    Thanks a lot for upploading!

  • DEDICATED!

  • Ooops :P

  • ikkje någe aent å sei en Nydeligt...

  • nice sang

  • love it! passer så sykt bra til sangen(:

    Keep up!

  • Again, bloody brilliant. While I enjoyed "Damplokomotiv" more, this was definitely another awesome video. Are you planning to make any more? Please do, this is awesomeness.

  • Thanx! :)

Yeah, I'm planning to make more Kaizersvideos. I just need to find the right video clips. And of course some ideas. These two I've made now is both in black and white and they maybe seem a bit like each other in the style. The biggest problem is finding "clean" clips. In this video you can see it sometimes gets a black line in the bottom and top. It's a shame, but it was the best I could find.

  • Goosebumps, man! Are you norwegian?

  • No, but close - I'm danish :-)

  • Same country as their gas mask then ;P

Anyway, I'm norwegian and love them!

  • Actually I have that same mask - 1939 H.t.K. civilansigtsmaske M.1938 - It's such a cool mask! ^^

(So you're norwegian... And I'm danish... Hm... Then maybe it's a waste of time to translate these comments to english :P Especially for me - my english is not so good ;) )

  • Ja! Sebastian heter jeg der. Bestemte meg for å gjøre det enkelt ;)
