I've been using this for years. My grandfather who hunted geese for YEARS taught it too me on his old flute and it transferred perfect over to my short-reeds. On most days I go out this is all I have to use to get them to commit. A little flag work to get them looking, a few clucks to get them coming, and them hit them with a slow cluck/moan and watch those wings will just lock up.

i suck at calling geese. i wish i could make clucks like these. my call comes out really high pitched and i think it scares the geese away. wish i had that lower note like you do.

Hey im looking for a new goose call i was looking at the tim grounds polycarbonate super mag goose call. Do you recommend on me getting this call. Will it do the trick. I was wondering if it has a lower ton that these other higher pitched calls my friends are using.

The pole Super Mag is great ... the pitch all comes with how it's blown, and how it's tuned ... although the poly usually does sound a little lower. Look at the link in the description of this vid to check them out.
